Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Impressive 6,500 Puff Capacity with SUPERB flavor!

Adam WinterDisposable Vapes Leave a Comment

Welcome to our review of the Fifty Bar disposable, one of only a very small handful of disposables manufactured entirely in the USA.

The Fifty Bar vape brand are relatively new to the scene, with the Fifty Bar disposable their first and (at the time of writing) only vape product on the market.

The team at Fifty Bar were kind enough to send us the whole range of flavors to review and I’ve been testing them exclusively for the last few weeks.

Spoiler alert – I absolutely freaking love the Fifty Bar disposable!

With a massive 16ml of e-juice, a 6,500 puff capacity and a range of 15 amazing flavors, the Fifty Bar disposable is a seriously impressive ‘first attempt’ and I’m genuinely intrigued to see what Fifty Bar release next!

For those new to disposables, the Fifty Bar is a multi-day, rechargeable vape that comes pre-filled with e-juice and features a 400mAh battery. The idea being that you vape until you run out of battery, then recharge and repeat until you run out of e-juice.

We’re on a mission to find the best disposable – whatever your budget or vaping style, so keep reading to find out if the Fifty Bar disposable deserves a place on the list!

I’d like to quickly thank Paige at Fifty Bar for sending me the Fifty Bar disposables to review. As always, this review is completely unbiased and only contains my honest opinions on the product. What’s in the Box?

The Fifty Bar disposables arrived in a display box of sorts, with 5 of the disposables tucked snugly into a foam insert inside the case. As Fifty Bar sent us 15 flavors in total (the full range – thank you Fifty Bar!) we received 3 of these display cases.

I’m not sure if the display cases are available to buy if you’re looking to purchase 5 or more disposables at a time, but it’s a nice touch nonetheless and a far cry from the usual products we receive to review – often just loose disposables in a jiffy bag!

Inside the case is a large display card with the Fifty Bar sponsor (Beard Vape Co.) on one side and a full list of available flavors on the reverse.

The actual individual Fifty Bar disposable comes packaged in a color-coded box that corresponds with the flavor inside, with a mountain of useful information and the usual nicotine warnings.

Fifty Bar Disposable Packaging

On the front of the packaging you’ll find the Fifty Bar name and logo, the flavor name, puff capacity and nicotine strength. There’s also a reference to the fact the Fifty Bar disposable is built in the USA, with the usual nicotine warning covering the bottom 3rd of the box.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Packaging

On the right facing side of the packaging there’s a picture of the Fifty Bar disposable, as well as the flavor name, puff capacity and Beard Vape Co. logo.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Packaging - right facing side

On the left facing side there’s further info, indicating the fact the Fifty Bar is filled, assembled and packaged in the USA with American ingredients. Just above this it’s stated that the Fifty Bar is rechargeable and features a mesh coil.

Finally on the back of the box you’ll find a list of ingredients and several more warnings. Also displayed is the e-juice capacity, number of puffs and nicotine strength.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Reverse of the Packaging

I was surprised to see they haven’t included a QR code to check the authenticity of the product. This seems to be pretty standard on most disposables but it’s missing on the Fifty Bar packaging. Having said that, it’s not something I ever actually use to be completely honest.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | All 15 Flavors

The only information that was missing for me was the PG/VG ratio of the e-juice. It’s not really essential (and very rarely displayed on disposables) but it’s super useful for vapers who suffer with PG Intolerance.

Inside the packaging is a foil wrapper protecting the Fifty Bar disposable. The wrapper is color-coded to match the flavor, with the Fifty Bar logo (stars and stripes) and the flavor name clearly displayed.

The top of the wrapper will tear open to reveal the Fifty Bar disposable inside. Once you’ve opened the wrapper all you need do is remove the silicone plug from the mouthpiece of the disposable …

… and the sticker covering the USB charging port on the base of the device.

The Fifty Bar comes pre-charged so after you’ve removed the plug and sticker, you’re all good to start vaping!

Fifty Bar | Design and Appearance

In terms of design and appearance, the Fifty Bar disposable is damn near perfect.

First of all, it’s impressively compact for a multi-day, rechargeable disposable. Measuring in at just 84mm in height, 47mm in width and 17mm in depth, it’s easily one of the most compact disposables we’ve ever tested.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with the larger, bulkier disposables if that’s your thing. In fact, we reviewed the MOTI PIIN C4000 and the Voltbar and they’re both fantastic disposables with plenty to offer!

But if you’re looking for a super compact device that fits comfortably in your hand and won’t take up space in your pocket or bag, the Fifty Bar is easily one of the smallest disposables within this puff range!

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Incredibly Compact

It’s also incredibly lightweight, weighing in at only 52.76g. Perfect if you prefer a compact, lightweight disposable you can take with you and vape on the go.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Compact & Lightweight

The Fifty Bar team have accomplished this by featuring a slightly lower-capacity battery (400mAh) than we’re used to seeing with the higher puff capacity disposables. We’ll talk about performance a bit further down, but suffice to say my initial concern at seeing the smaller 400mAh battery was quickly forgotten after spending time testing the Fifty Bar.

Anyway, that’s enough about the size and weight!

It’s auto-draw, which means there are no buttons or controls to fiddle with or adjust. We’ve seen a trend lately with some of the newer disposables featuring a display screen and on/off standby button(s) like the MOTI Play Bar 7500.

While these newer devices are often excellent (especially in the aforementioned case of the MOTI Play Bar!) if you’re looking for a disposable that’s easy to use with absolutely zero learning curve, disposables like the Fifty Bar are exactly the type of device you’ll want to pick up.

In terms of aesthetics, the Fifty Bar also ticks all the right boxes. Each of the disposables comes in a different two-tone pastel color, depending on the flavor, with the bottom half of the body and the mouthpiece a darker shade than the top section of the body.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Two-Tone Color Design

It’s rectangular in shape, with soft rounded edges and the entire disposable is made from a slightly rubberized plastic. I’m a big fan of this rubberized design as it gives the Fifty Bar a really smooth and comfortable finish while also maximizing grip.

Branding is fairly minimal and unobtrusive, with a slightly raised and textured ‘FIFTY BAR’ in the centre of the body on both the front and back of the disposable.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | A Thing Of Beauty

The flavor name is printed on one side towards the bottom of the device, with ‘BUILT IN THE USA’ and a flag icon in the same position on the opposite side.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Built In The USA

At the top of the Fifty Bar there’s a protruding mouthpiece, approximately 20mm in length. The mouthpiece tapers to a somewhat oval shaped point and personally I found it extremely comfortable to vape on.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Mouthpiece

On the base of the Fifty Bar you’ll notice two small airflow holes which also function as the LED puff indicator. These LED’s light up each time you take a puff and flash several times when you’re out of e-juice or battery.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | LED Indicators

The LED’s will also remain lit while you’re charging the Fifty Bar, until you’re fully charged at which point they’ll turn off.

Charging is super easy – just plug a USB Type-C charging cable into the USB port on the base of the Fifty Bar and plug the other end into a suitable charging outlet. A full charge only takes approximately 45 minutes but unfortunately the Fifty Bar doesn’t support pass-through vaping so you can’t vape while it’s on charge.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Charging Takes Approx 45 Minutes

Overall I’m really impressed with the design and appearance of the Fifty Bar disposable. As I mentioned before, it’s near perfect, with only the lack of pass-through vaping and adjustable airflow preventing me from committing to a perfect 10/10 score in terms of design.

Personally, I can live without pass-through vaping, especially as a full charge only takes 45 minutes.

I’ll probably take some flack for saying this, but the lack of adjustable airflow really wasn’t a major factor for me either. I’ll talk about airflow in the performance section in more detail below, but the default airflow was absolutely spot-on for me and I wouldn’t have adjusted it even if I could!

Fifty Bar | Performance

I feel like a fan-boy here, but the Fifty Bar disposable is even more impressive when it comes to performance!

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Impressive Performance!

As I mentioned above, the airflow and draw are absolutely perfect for me personally. The airflow allows for a fairly tight MTL (mouth-to-lung) draw, similar to the feeling of smoking a cigarette. It’s not too tight, not too loose, but somewhere in-between and it’s spot-on for me.

Just keep in mind, if you’re looking for a DTL (direct-to-lung) vape experience, the Fifty Bar isn’t for you. To my knowledge, there are very few disposables that deliver a true DTL hit and you’re probably better off investing in a sub-ohm tank and mod set-up.

Throat hit and nicotine delivery are also right on the sweet spot for me. I know it’s largely subjective but each puff of the Fifty Bar provides a really satisfying throat kick and the familiar nicotine hit – plenty enough to satisfy cravings.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Throat Hit & Nicotine Delivery Are Spot On

The Fifty Bar is only available in a 50mg/ml nicotine strength and it’s worth noting that the throat kick and nicotine hit will be significantly more pronounced than a 20mg/ml disposable. Keep that in mind if you’re used to vaping at 20mg and are thinking of switching to the Fifty Bar!

Hopefully the team over at Fifty Bar will consider releasing a 20mg/ml nicotine strength option at some point in the future!

The auto-draw feature worked flawlessly across all 15 of the Fifty Bar disposables I tested. It’s sensitive enough to detect the slightest puff and the ramp up time is quick and efficient, with the coil firing the moment you begin to draw.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Quck & Efficient Ramp Up Time

The anti-burn coil technology also seems to work perfectly, with not a single dry hit or burn tasting puff, even towards the end of the e-juice capacity.

Vapor production is great for a disposable of this size, with a decent plume of the fluffy white stuff after each puff. You won’t choke out your spouse sleeping next to you but the vapor produced is comparable to the smoke you’d inhale when smoking a cigarette – probably even slightly more.

Battery life is surprisingly impressive, especially considering the Fifty Bar has a relatively small battery capacity of 400mAh. I found that a full battery charge seemed to last me almost a full day of pretty heavy vaping!

The total lifespan of the Fifty Bar (the time it takes to fully deplete the 16ml e-juice capacity) is equally impressive. The Fifty Bar is advertised as providing up to 6,500 puffs and each of the 15 disposables I tested delivered between 6,206 and 6,692 puffs, falling perfectly within the expected range.

And if you’re wondering, yes I counted. Yes it was tedious. And yes the above puff totals might not be exact.

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Mint, Aloe Kiwi Strawberry, Cinnamon Funnel Cake, Strawberry Cereal Donut Milk and Pacific Cooler

However, a far better indicator of longevity can be found by looking at the total number of days each Fifty Bar disposable lasted. I tend to vape heavily throughout the day between the hours of 9am and 10pm. Despite this heavy use, each of the disposables I tested lasted over 9 days in total!

Not bad at all!

Also keep in mind a casual or moderate vaper will get significantly longer out of each Fifty Bar disposable. If you’ve vaped the Fifty Bar, drop us a comment below to let us know how long it lasted!

Fifty Bar Disposable Review | Long-lasting Disposable

In terms of performance, I’ve left the best for last, and that’s the flavor these little beauties kick out! Not only is the flavor range large and varied, the flavor produced is incredibly dense, mouth-watering and absolutely bursting with flavor!

Each and every flavor Fifty Bar sent us tasted complex, well-blended and authentic (very natural and ‘clean’ tasting!) and it’s clear a lot of thought and care has been put into each flavor recipe.

Fifty Bar Disposable | 5 Flavors in a Row

Overall, the performance is fantastic and the Fifty Bar is easily one of the best disposables I’ve tested this year. I’d love to see a 20mg option released in the future, but battery life, longevity, vapor and flavor are all seriously impressive and it’s a disposable I highly recommend.

Fifty Bar | Flavors

As I mentioned above, the flavor range is large and varied, with a total of 15 different flavors currently available.

  • Aloe Grapple Watermelon
  • Aloe Kiwi Strawberry
  • Blue Razz Ice
  • Blueberry Cereal Donut Milk
  • Cinnamon Funnel Cake
  • Diamond Peach Ice
  • Juicy Mango Melon Ice
  • Kyoho Grape Jelly
  • Mint
  • Pacific Cooler
  • Pink Squares
  • Strawberry Cereal Donut Milk
  • Tobaccocino
  • Triple Watermelon
  • Vanilla Custard

As you can see, there’s plenty to choose from!

Fruity lovers will be pleased to see the usual suspects like blueberry, mango, kiwi and strawberry but I love the fact Fifty Bar have also included a few dessert-based flavors, a mint and even a tobacco flavor!

I tested all 15 flavors so I’ll do my best to describe each flavor in a bit more detail below.

Aloe Grapple Watermelon

Fifty Bar | Aloe Grapple Watermelon

The Aloe Grapple Watermelon is a light, refreshing blend of aloe, grape, apple and watermelon.

It’s both sweet and slightly sour at the same time, with a fresh, earthy aftertaste that almost reminds me of cucumber!

It’s not my favorite flavor of the range, but it’s perfect for the warmer weather or as a palette cleanser after some of the heavier flavors.

Aloe Kiwi Strawberry

Fifty Bar | Aloe Kiwi Strawberry

The Aloe Kiwi Strawberry flavor is a delicious blend of fresh aloe, sharp kiwi and sweet strawberry.

All 3 flavor notes are clearly discernable but the sharp, tartness of the kiwi and the sweet strawberry are the dominant flavors in this one.

The freshness of the aloe rounds off the mix of sharp and sweet perfectly and it’s a flavor I found it difficult to put down!

Blue Razzle Ice

Fifty Bar | Blue Razzle Ice

The Blue Razzle Ice is a mouth-watering mix of sharp blueberries, sweet raspberries and an icy menthol blast.

Fifty Bar have absolutely nailed their take on this popular flavor!

The contrast of the sharp, almost sour blueberries and the deliciously sweet raspberries is blended perfectly and the icy kick isn’t too overpowering like you sometimes find with other disposables.

Blueberry Cereal Donut Milk

Fifty Bar | Blueberry Cereal Donut Milk

The Blueberry Cereal Donut Milk is probably my favorite flavor in the range.

It’s an absolutely mouth-watering blend of subtle, sweet blueberry, rich nutty cereal and glazed donut topped off with creamy milk!

I love dessert-based flavor profiles anyway, but this flavor is perfect in my opinion and I’d happily vape this (and this alone!) for the rest of my days.

This is one that has to be tasted to be believed!

Cinnamon Funnel Cake

Fifty Bar | Cinnamon Funnel Cake

The Cinnamon Funnel Cake is another absolutely delicious flavor!

I’ll be completely honest, I’ve never tried funnel cake but to me this tastes almost exactly like a glazed, cinnamon sprinkled donut.

It’s another flavor I found extremely hard to put down and it’s sure to be a hit with dessert-based flavor lovers!

Diamond Peach Ice

Fifty Bar | Diamond Peach Ice

The Diamond Peach Ice flavor is a simple blend of sweet and juicy peach with a refreshing icy menthol on the inhale.

I think I mentioned it before, but I love the fact the icy kick isn’t too overpowering in the flavors I’ve tried so far. It’s just enough to compliment the ripe, juicy peach and it’s another expertly blended recipe.

As with all the flavors so far, the flavor notes are so natural and authentic it’s like taking a bite of freshly picked fruit!

Juicy Mango Melon Ice

Fifty Bar | Juicy Mango Melon Ice

The Juicy Mango Melon Ice is a mouth-watering, delicious blend of sweet, ripe mango and juicy melon with a subtle icy note.

I love mango e-juice when it’s done right and Fifty Bar have absolutely nailed this recipe!

The Mango is sweet, authentic tasting and bursting with flavor, the melon is juicy and refreshing and the addition of the subtle menthol note rounds this mix off perfectly.

Kyoho Grape Jelly

Fifty Bar | Kyoho Grape Jelly

I expected the Kyoho Grape Jelly to be my least favorite flavor in the range, purely because I’m not a big fan of grape flavored e-juice.

This one actually surprised me though!

Far from being the usual sickly sweet, syrupy grape flavor you get with most disposables, this was a far more natural grape note and it’s a flavor I could quite happily vape all day!

Mint

Fifty Bar | Mint

The Mint flavor is exactly what you’d expect …

It’s a refreshing spearmint note, perfect if you like menthol e-juice or you just fancy a break from the other complex, multi-note flavors.

It’s not too heavy on the mint either. In much the same way they’ve perfected the balance of icy menthol in their other flavors, Fifty Bar have crafted this recipe with a fresh and natural tasting flavor profile.

Pacific Cooler

Fifty Bar | Pacific Cooler

I’ll be honest, I have absolutely no idea what the official flavor notes are in Pacific Cooler!

I think I’m picking up notes of pear, apple and grape and it’s an absolutely delicious recipe, but let me know in the comments below if you’ve tried the Pacific Cooler Fifty Bar and think you’ve got the flavor notes figured out!

Either way, it’s a personal favorite in the range and a flavor I can easily vape all-day.

Pink Squares

Fifty Bar | Pink Squares

The Pink Squares is another flavor that had me scratching my head …

I’m definitely detecting a rich, dominant cherry note but I think there’s a buttery, almost bakery-esque element to this flavor that I’m finding it hard to put my finger on!

Possibly even some coconut, which is giving me simultaneous tropical yet dessert type vibes! Whatever the official note breakdown, it’s another divine flavor and all-day vape for me.

Strawberry Cereal Donut Milk

Fifty Bar | Strawberry Cereal Donut Milk

The Strawberry Cereal Donut Milk is another flavor I could chain-vape until the end of time and not get bored of.

It’s a delicious blend of sweet strawberries, sugary cereal and glazed donut, filled to the brim with creamy milk and baked to perfection!

If you like dessert-based flavors, you won’t want to miss this one.

Tobaccocino

Fifty Bar | Tobaccocino

The Tobaccocino is a blend of traditional yet mild tobacco and rich, creamy coffee or ‘cappuccino’.

I’m thrilled to see a tobacco blend in the flavor range as you don’t see them all that often in the disposable market!

It’s not my favorite Fifty Bar flavor but I found myself reaching for this one first thing in the morning – probably to satisfy my coffee craving!

Triple Watermelon

Fifty Bar | Triple Watermelon

The Triple Watermelon tastes exactly like you might expect – watermelon but on steroids!

It’s actually the first flavor I tried, and as first impressions go, it blew my mind. The watermelon flavor note is so authentic and natural tasting, while simultaneously bursting with flavor.

Perfect for those that like their fruity flavors and another all-day vape for me.

Vanilla Custard

Fifty Bar | Vanilla Custard

Last but not least, the Vanilla Custard is a sweet, rich vanilla with a creamy, dense custard.

This reminds me of a popular dessert in the UK (Angel Delight) and it’s absolutely delicious!

The perfect after-dinner vape, this one will definitely be a hit with the dessert-based flavor fans.

Overall I think Fifty Bar have done an absolutely amazing job with the flavor range! There really isn’t a single flavor I wouldn’t happily vape all-day and it’s obvious a lot of care and time has been spent crafting these flavor recipes.

Every single flavor I tested was expertly blended, natural tasting and bursting with flavor.

Fifty Bar have also confirmed they’re working on 7 brand new flavors which are due to launch by the end of the year!

Fifty Bar | Price

In terms of price, I’ve scoured the web and it looks like the Fifty Bar is selling from anywhere between $14 to $19 if you’re buying a single disposable.

That’s not a bad price considering the quality and performance, especially when you take into account the fact each Fifty Bar should last you at least 9 days, even if you vape heavily like I do.

If you vape moderately, I see no reason why you couldn’t stretch each disposable out to 15 days. Which means you’ll only be buying 2 a month, so worst case scenario you’re paying $38 per month.

This is fantastic when compared with the equivalent smoking habit and it’s one of the main reasons I switched to vaping in the first place!

The below link will take you to EightVape – they’re currently offering the Fifty Bar disposable at $13.88 if you want to take advantage and see what all the fuss is about!
