We were kindly sent 10 different flavors of the Friobar 600 pre-filled disposable pods from the guys at Freemax to review and find out what our thoughts were of this, their new device.
Having previously reviewed their Friobar 500 disposable pod back in October 2021, we were keen to see what the differences between the two disposable pods were. First impressions were obvious, the design, shape and puff capacity have changed.
While we really liked the performance from the Friobar 500, its shape, which resembled that of a long bullet did raise a few eyebrows. We were very pleased to see this new Friobar 600 follows the more conventional standard design.
We will look at the Friobar 600 as a totally different disposable pod but where appropriate we will reference any major differences between the two.
Before we get onto the detailed review of the Friobar 600, I have to point out that we can’t find any information of the Friobar 600 from either Freemax’s website or from Friobarvape. We will describe what we have and what we know from the Friobar 600’s we have in front of us.
Overview
The Friobar 600 Disposable Pod, designed and manufactured by Freemax, is available in 10 different flavors and is a closed pod auto-draw activated system. The shape and size of them measure 110mm in length, 24.2mm in width and 14.2mm in depth. It has an internal 500mAh non re-chargeable battery and holds 2ml of e-liquid, coming in strengths of 20mg (2%) nicotine salts for EU countries or 50mg (5%) nicotine salts for non EU countries.
Incorporating the industry leading FM SaltCoilTech nicotine salt and patented Tea Fiber Cotton Formula, the flavor produced from the coil/disposable pod should be as impressive as we found during our review on the Friobar 500.
The life-cycle of the disposable pod is a single use device and specified to last for approximately 600 puffs. Operation is as simple as it comes, no buttons to fiddle with, nothing to set up and adjust, you just unpack and use. When it’s finished you simply dispose of it and use another one.
There is a small blue LED at the bottom of the Friobar 600 that illuminates when you draw on the device. When the disposable pod has reached its end of life i.e. the e-liquid has all been used, the little blue LED blinks 3 times to let the user know it’s time to open a new one.

What’s in the box?
The Friobar 600 disposable pod comes in a cardboard box measuring just slightly bigger than the pod itself while the weight of the pod including all its packaging is under 37grams. This box, in fact all the boxes are the same, highlights the ingredients, nicotine strength and warning, specification, flavor and a scratch and scan barcode.
Inside the cardboard packaging is the Friobar 600 disposable pod wrapped in a clear sealed polyphene bag. Once you tear open the bag and remove the Friobar 600 there is a clear silicone rubber bung inserted into the mouthpiece for protection and a yellow/red sticker covering the single airflow hole at the base of the pod.
Friobar 600 Disposable Pod Design and Appearance
The Friobar 600 measures 110mm in length by 24.2mm in width by 14.2mm in depth and weighs in at approximately 31grams. Because it’s a disposable, the battery is non-chargeable and non-replaceable therefore incorporates an internal 500mAh battery.
E-Liquid capacity of the Friobar 600 is 2ml and comes in 10 different flavors with a nicotine salt strength of 20mg (EU countries) and 50mg (non EU countries). The e-liquid is pre-filled and not re-fillable. It states on the outer wrapping that the ingredients contain PG, VG, Nicotine and Flavoring BUT it doesn’t specify the ratio of PG vs. VG. We are guessing due to the nature of the pod that it’s a 50/50 mix.
In keeping with the tradition of Freemax, this Friobar 600 disposable pod incorporates their patented Tea Fiber Cotton formula and applies FM SaltCoilTech ensuring the flavor is as good to that we found when using the Friobar 500.
Unfortunately we can’t find out what the output voltage or the output power of the Friobar 600 is but as soon as we get the information we will update this review with the specific details. Freemax specify the amount of draws (puffs) is up to 600 before the device becomes unusable.
Again, because this is a disposable, the 1.4 ohm integrated coil is not replaceable. When the pod is finished i.e. either the battery has depleted or the e-liquid has run out, the Friobar 600 is simply disposed of.
The mouthpiece of the Friobar 600 measures approx. 13mm long by 18mm wide by 7mm deep, with a 6mm oval opening. This provides quite a tight Mouth to Lung (MTL) draw.
At the base of the Friobar 600 is a single airflow intake hole together with a blue LED that illuminates when the pod is drawn. When the e-liquid has depleted, the blue LED will flash 3 times indicating end of life.
Because of the construction material used, the Blue LED when illuminated glows through the base of the Friobar 600 and at times looks the same color of the coloring of the disposable pod.
The entire disposable pod is colored with the color corresponding to the individual flavor in the pod. Each flavored pod has the flavor name and the words Friobar 600 printed on one side.
Construction appears to be a moulded polycarbonate case with a very smooth glass like feel to it.
As we mentioned in our overview, the main difference between this and the Friobar 500 is the puff count has increased from 500 to 600, the shape is totally different and the battery has increased from 400mAh to 500mAh.
Friobar 600 Disposable Pod Performance
Simply take out of the packaging, remove the silicone mouthpiece bung and airflow sticker and vape. It’s definitely a MTL draw, being pretty tight and the flavor was very pronounced with a decent throat hit and good vapor production. The disposable pods we received contained pre-filled 2% (20mg/ml) Nic Salts and found these to be just right in terms of flavor strength.
The draw activation worked every time and we found that the tightness of the draw limited each draw to no more than a 2-3 second single puff which we found to be just right.
Each disposable pod lasted us around the full day mark of average vaping. We didn’t monitor the exact amount of “puffs” to verify the stated 600 puffs specified by Freemax/Friobarvape but would say it was probably somewhere near this figure.
We were very impressed with the flavor and performance of these disposable pods which matched that of the Friobar 500 disposables we tested last year. The flavors we tried were all very smooth and very flavorsome without being too overpowering. What really impressed me was both the strength of each flavor and the icy (coolness) on all of the flavors we tried was NOT strong, giving just a hint of an icy taste.
Vapor produced was about right for the type and duration of the draw.
Friobar 600 Disposable Pod Flavors
Freemax were kind enough to send us all 10 of their available flavors to try and they didn’t disappoint. We received the 20mg (2%) nicotine salt strength variants and found these to be spot on in terms of throat hit.
The 10 flavors available in the Friobar 600 range are: Mango Ice, Pink Lemonade, Pineapple Ice, Raspberry Mint, Blizzard, Lush Ice, Strawberry Macaron, Rainbow Blast, Blue Razz and Menthol.
Because we couldn’t find any details on any of the flavor profiles, we’ve given a brief description of each flavor that came to mind while we vaped them.
Mango ice –
As a Mango lover, I found this Mango Ice to be just perfect. Even though it states Ice in its title, the coolness was very subtle and didn’t distract from the ripe Mango taste. A very slight coolness on the draw intake and a nice lingering Mango aftertaste in the mouth. Very reminiscent of a Malaysian Mango.
Pink lemonade –
One of the team here really likes Pink Lemonade and regularly DIY mixes his own and thought this was pretty on par with the results he achieves. Again a pronounced flavor with a fizzy note to it. A hint of coolness on the intake as well.
Pineapple Ice –
Definitely an unmistakable Pineapple taste and a pretty good one too. Again the ice (coolness) was not overpowering at all. Unlike some we’ve tried, the flavor wasn’t too bitter but more towards a sweet ripe Pineapple.
Raspberry Mint –
A nice refreshing vape with a very slight coolness on the draw intake. I would of said this tasted more like a Fruit Salad flavor than Raspberry but now and again my taste buds were detecting something similar to Raspberry. While the flavor name says Mint, I couldn’t detect any traces of this.
Blizzard –
A difficult one this, our initial thoughts were of an artificial perfume with a minty spearmint aftertaste. After a few more draws we thought it could be a juicy mixed berry medley. Whatever the original draw taste was the aftertaste was described by one of the team as Wriggly Spearmint Gum.
Lush Ice –
Watermelon, plain and simple. We didn’t really detect any icy blast apart from the cool aftertaste. Possibly has something combined with the watermelon but we couldn’t put our finger on it.
Strawberry Macaron –
Well we have to be honest and say we didn’t detect any ripe strawberries. We felt it was a biscuit taste with a hint of Almond and Marzipan. A pleasant taste with a cool aftertaste but definitely resembles the taste of a French Macaroon.
Rainbow Blast –
Pretty accurate as we are guessing it’s a mixed berry. Our initial thought reminded us of Skittles or Tutti Frutti. Definitely a mixed berry or mixed fruit. An ice blast was there on the intake but not overpowering.
Blue Razz –
I cant think of anything else other than Blueberries. I liked it and found it very satisfying.
Menthol –
Menthol can always be a bit hit and miss and could be a minty or spearmint or peppermint and sometimes even a eucalyptus taste. I quite like menthol e-liquid and this one for me was a that of a spearmint taste. It wasn’t icy but had that slight coolness on the intake as did most of these flavors we sampled.
Flavor Summary
Of all the 10 different flavors we tried, they all seemed very smooth, very flavorsome, quite sweet at times but really enjoyable without exception. Each one had a hint of coolness on the intake, irrespective if its title name said ice or not.
Every flavor lingered in the mouth producing a really nice aftertaste while also leaving a fresh after feeling. Unlike several other disposable vapes we’ve tried, all the flavors in the Friobar 600 were really nice with prominent flavor and we would certainly use again.
Friobar 600 Disposable Pod Price
At the time of writing this review, the samples we received were pre-production models and were not available in any retailers hence we cannot comment on the price.
Hopefully these are not too expensive and are comparable with the price of the Friobar 500 and other disposables in the market.

Flavor and performance wise we couldn’t fault them, all the flavors we tested were really nice. The draw activation worked every time and the draw was very smooth and quiet. It was really nice that the “ice” was not overpowering and gave just a hint of coolness.
Making a direct comparison with the Friobar 500, we would say the Friobar 600 is an improvement in terms of increased battery capacity, a higher puff count and the aesthetics of the pod look better.
We can’t comment on the price of the Friobar 600 disposable pod as at the time of writing we couldn’t find any information on the device or anyone selling them other than what we have specified. We can only assume they will be favourable with the Friobar 500 price and similar with others in the market.
As with any disposable vape device, the environmental issues around these are a big concern. These disposable pods only last a day at best before they have to be disposed of. The pod itself is part plastic with a lipo battery. Disposing of these pods after such a short use is neither efficient or eco-friendly.
I can see the advantage of these devices if a smoker is looking at transitioning into the vaping world to see if they like it and want to switch BUT I would honestly recommend switching to a re-usable pod or mod soon afterwards.
