If you’ve been around disposable vapes for any length of time, there’s a good chance you’ve come across the FUMOT Leopard 40K disposable before. It was one of those devices that leaned heavily into big puff counts, bold designs, and strong flavor performance, and to be fair, it delivered exceptionally well on all three.
Now FUMOT are back with what is essentially an updated version of that same device, but with one fairly big change… This one’s refillable.
At first glance, it looks very similar to the original Leopard 40K. Same large, slightly chunky design, same bright colors, same slightly over-the-top aesthetic with the big cat graphic on the front. It’s not exactly subtle, but it’s definitely eye-catching, and you know straight away what kind of device it is.
The difference this time is that instead of being a fully sealed disposable, the Leopard 40K Refillable gives you a bit more control over how long you can keep it going. Each device FUMOT sent us came with two 10ml bottles of e-liquid, and once it’s filled up, you’re good to go. When it runs low, you just top it up again and carry on, which already makes it feel a bit more practical than your typical throwaway disposable.
It’s still very much a “pick up and vape” type device though. There are no buttons, no modes, no adjustable airflow… nothing to mess around with. You fill it, you take a puff, and that’s about as complicated as it gets.
I’ve been using a few of these over the last couple of weeks to see how they actually hold up day to day, especially compared to the original version. In this review, I’ll go through everything you need to know, including the design, performance, flavor quality, battery life, and whether the refillable aspect actually makes a difference.

What’s in the Box?
The FUMOT Leopard 40K Refillable comes packaged in a bright, eye-catching box with that same bold, colorful finish that instantly stands out. Each flavor has its own variation, but they all follow the same layout, with a large image of the device on the front, the flavor name (like Fraise Glacée, which is Strawberry Ice), the 40,000 puff claim, and a nicotine warning taking up the lower portion of the box.
Around the sides, you’ll find a quick rundown of the key features, including the mesh coil, battery capacity, USB-C charging, and the built-in battery display.
There are also some simple instructions showing how to refill the device, which is helpful given this isn’t your typical “open and vape” disposable.
Flip it over to the back, and you’ve got all the usual bits, including safety warnings, ingredients, certification logos, and full company details. Nothing too exciting, but everything you’d expect is there.
Inside the box, the device itself comes sealed in a foil wrapper to keep it protected.
Once you tear that open, you’ll find the mouthpiece covered with a small silicone cap…
and there’s also a protective sticker on the base of the device that needs to be removed before use.
Alongside the device, FUMOT included two 10ml bottles of e-liquid in each flavor they sent us. As mentioned previously, this is where things differ slightly from the original Leopard 40K, as this version needs to be filled before you can use it.
It’s a simple process, just lift the small rubber plug on the top of the device to access the fill port, top it up, and you’re good to go. It’s worth mentioning though, if you try to take a puff before filling it, you’re obviously going to get a nasty burnt taste.
There’s also a small button on the bottom of the device which acts as a child safety lock, helping to prevent it from firing unintentionally while it’s in your pocket or bag. It’s a small addition, but a useful one.
The only thing not included on the packaging is the PG/VG ratio, so you’ll want to vape with caution if you suffer from any form of PG intolerance like I do.
Once everything’s unboxed, filled, and set up, it’s very straightforward from there. No menus, no settings, no messing about, just pick it up and vape.
Design & Appearance
When it comes to design, the FUMOT Leopard 40K Refillable doesn’t exactly try to blend in… and to be fair, the original didn’t either.
Straight out of the box, it’s a fairly chunky device with a bit of weight to it, but in a good way. It feels solid in the hand, and although it’s made from a hard plastic shell, it doesn’t have that cheap, hollow feel you sometimes get with disposables. Everything feels well put together, with no rattling or flexing when you hold it.
Visually, it’s very much in line with the original Leopard 40K. You’ve got that bright, metallic-style finish underneath a clear outer casing, which gives it a sort of glossy, layered look. Then front and centre, there’s the big leopard graphic, which is about as subtle as you’d expect. It’s colorful, slightly over the top, and definitely not going to be everyone’s thing… but at the same time, it does give the device a bit of personality.
On the back, things are a bit cleaner, with the flavor name printed clearly, along with the usual certification logos. It’s nothing fancy, but it keeps things easy to identify if you’ve got a few different flavors on the go.
One of the more practical changes on this refillable version is the addition of a clear viewing window on the side of the device. This lets you see exactly how much e-liquid you’ve got left at a glance, which makes a lot of sense here given you’re actually topping it up yourself. It’s a simple addition, but genuinely useful day to day.
Down at the bottom, you’ve got a large display screen that shows your remaining battery level. It’s clear, easy to read, and does exactly what it needs to without overcomplicating things. There’s no RGB lighting or anything flashy going on this time, which actually makes it feel a bit more toned down compared to some of FUMOT’s other devices.
The mouthpiece sits neatly on the top and is nice and comfortable to vape on. It’s on the slightly narrow side, which works well for the MTL draw this device is going for, and it doesn’t feel awkward or oversized when you’re using it.
You’ve also got the refill port tucked away under a small rubber plug near the top of the device. It’s easy to access, feels secure when closed, and doesn’t look like it’s going to wear out quickly, which is important on something you’ll be opening and closing fairly regularly.
In terms of airflow, there’s no adjustability here, which is a bit of a shame on paper, but in practice it’s not really an issue. The draw is already tuned quite nicely for MTL vaping, with just enough looseness to keep it comfortable without feeling airy.
Overall, the Leopard 40K Refillable sticks very close to the original design, just with a few small tweaks that make it a bit more practical to use. It’s bold, a little bit flashy, and probably not one for minimalists… but it’s also well built, comfortable in the hand, and easy to live with day to day.
Performance
When it comes to performance, the FUMOT Leopard 40K Refillable is pretty much exactly what you’d hope for… simple, consistent, and just very easy to get along with.
Starting with the draw, this is very much an MTL device. There’s no adjustable airflow here, but in all honesty, it doesn’t really need it. The draw is nicely dialled in, tight enough to feel satisfying without being restrictive, and it never feels airy or loose. You can’t really push it into proper DTL territory, but that’s not what this device is trying to do anyway.
Vapor production is also spot on for this kind of device. You’re not going to be chucking out massive clouds, but you do get a decent, dense plume on every puff. It’s that typical “fluffy” vapor you’d expect from a good disposable, enough to feel satisfying without being over the top.
Where this one really stands out though is consistency. From the first fill right through to the last, it just performs the same way every time. No drop-off in flavor, no dry hits, no weird inconsistencies, it just works. The mesh coil setup clearly does its job well, because everything feels smooth and reliable, even after extended use.
Flavor is another strong point here. The samples we were sent included Strawberry Ice, Blue Raspberry Ice, Blueberry Cherry Cranberry, Fresh Mint, and Cherry Cola, and there were a couple of standouts straight away. The Blueberry Cherry Cranberry and Cherry Cola in particular were excellent, both coming through nice and clear without tasting artificial or overly sweet.
More importantly, the flavor actually holds up over time. Even after multiple refills, it doesn’t start to fade or go dull, which is something you do sometimes see with refillable disposables. Here, it stays clean and punchy right up until the end.
Nicotine delivery is also well balanced. The samples we tested were 20mg, which felt strong enough to take the edge off cravings quickly without being harsh. A few puffs and you’re sorted, but it never feels aggressive or irritating, even if you chain it a bit.
Battery life is solid as well. With the built-in 700mAh battery, I was getting around a day and a half of fairly heavy use before needing to plug it in. Lighter users will obviously get more out of it, but even with regular use, it holds up well. Charging is done via USB-C and takes under an hour to get back to full, which keeps downtime to a minimum.
The only slight downside here is the lack of pass-through vaping. Once it’s on charge, you’re waiting until it’s done before you can use it again, which is a bit of a shame, but not a dealbreaker.
As for the refillable aspect, this is where things get interesting. The system itself is really straightforward, just lift the rubber plug, fill it up, close it again, and you’re good to go. It’s clean, easy to do, and there’s no leaking to worry about, which is always a big plus.
One thing that is worth mentioning again though, and it sounds obvious but it’s easy to forget, the device doesn’t come pre-filled. You do need to fill it up before you use it for the first time. Try to vape it straight out of the box and you’ll get a dry hit.
In terms of longevity, it’s always tricky to put an exact number on puff counts, especially with something refillable like this. It’s marketed as 40,000 puffs, which is obviously on the optimistic side depending on how you vape, but with the ability to refill it and keep it going, you’re definitely getting a lot more life out of it than a standard disposable.
Of all the samples I tested, each lasted me between 18 – 21 days of medium to heavy vaping, but if you’re more of a casual vaper (or you’re happy to continue buying e-juice to re-fill it!) you could in theory get far longer.
Finally, the auto-draw works exactly as it should. It’s responsive, reliable, and activates instantly with even a light inhale. More importantly, it stays that way, with no misfires, leaks, or coil issues during testing.
Put simply, the Leopard 40K Refillable just works. Good flavor, consistent performance, solid battery life, and the flexibility to refill and extend its lifespan. The 40,000 puff claim might be pushing it slightly depending on your usage, but even so, the outstanding performance more than makes up for it.
Flavors
FUMOT have put together a solid little lineup for the Leopard 40K Refillable, and for the most part, they’ve done a really good job of keeping things clean, full-bodied, and easy to vape all day.
The samples we were sent included Strawberry Ice, Blue Raspberry Ice, Blueberry Cherry Cranberry, Fresh Mint, and Cherry Cola, so there’s a nice mix of fruity, icy, and slightly more unique options in there.
Starting with the fruity blends, Blueberry Cherry Cranberry was probably the standout of the bunch. It’s got a nice balance to it, slightly tart, slightly sweet, and doesn’t lean too heavily in any one direction. You can pick out each fruit without it turning into a muddled mess, which isn’t always the case with mixed berry flavors.
Strawberry Ice is exactly what you’d expect, but in a good way. It’s sweet, slightly candied, and backed up with a gentle cooling finish that keeps it from becoming too much. Nothing groundbreaking, but very easy to pick up and vape without thinking about it.
Blue Raspberry Ice sits in a similar lane, a bit sharper, a bit more tangy, with that familiar blue raspberry edge. Again, the cooling is there but not overpowering, which seems to be a theme across the range.
Moving onto something a bit different, Cherry Cola was a really pleasant surprise. It’s got that fizzy, slightly spiced cola base with a sweet cherry layer sitting on top, and it actually does a decent job of capturing that “cola bottle” kind of vibe without tasting artificial. Definitely one of the more interesting options in the lineup.
Then there’s Fresh Mint, which is about as straightforward as it sounds. Clean, crisp, and properly refreshing without being too icy or harsh. If you’re someone who likes to keep things simple, this one does the job nicely.
Across the board, what stood out most was consistency. The flavors don’t drop off after a few refills, they don’t start tasting dull, and they don’t become overly sweet or sickly over time. Everything stays pretty stable from start to finish, which is exactly what you want from a refillable device.
There’s a total of 16 flavors available, and overall it’s a well-rounded flavor range. FUMOT have done a really good job here, as expected – nothing feels rushed or overly artificial, and there’s enough variety here to suit most tastes.
Price
At the time of writing, the Fumot Leopard 40K Refillable doesn’t appear to be widely available for purchase just yet, so official pricing hasn’t been confirmed.
That said, based on similar high-capacity disposables and refillable devices currently on the market, it’s reasonable to expect it to land somewhere in the mid-to-premium price range.
Personally, I’d be happy even if this landed in the premium price point…
With its large e-liquid capacity, rechargeable battery, and refillable design, the Leopard 40K is clearly built to last significantly longer than your typical disposable. In real-world use, that means less waste, and potentially much better value over time – especially for regular or heavy vapers.
If pricing ends up where we’d expect, this could easily position itself as a more cost-effective alternative to repeatedly buying lower-capacity disposables, particularly for those who go through devices quickly.
We’ll update this section as soon as official pricing becomes available, but based on performance alone, the Leopard 40K already feels like a device that justifies a slightly higher price point.

If you’ve used the original Leopard 40K, this will feel very familiar. Same bold design, same easy “pick up and vape” approach, and the same strong performance where it actually matters. The difference this time is the refillable aspect, and in all honesty, it’s a really sensible addition.
Being able to top it up instead of throwing it away straight away just makes it feel like better value, and it’s done in a way that doesn’t complicate things. The refill system is simple, clean, and doesn’t leak, which is exactly what you want.
Performance-wise, it’s hard to fault. The draw is nicely dialled in, the flavor is consistently strong, and it just works without any fuss. No dry hits, no drop-off, no weird quirks… just a reliable vape you can pick up throughout the day and not think about.
Battery life is solid, the screen is clear and easy to read, and while the design might be a bit loud for some people, it’s definitely distinctive. If anything, the only real downside is the lack of pass-through vaping, which would’ve been a nice addition, but it’s hardly a dealbreaker.
As for the 40,000 puff claim, like most devices that advertise big numbers like that, it’s going to depend on how you vape. But with the ability to refill it and keep it going, you’re still getting a lot of life out of it regardless.
Overall, this is just a very easy device to recommend. It’s not flashy in terms of features, but it nails the basics, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want.
