We’re back again with yet another great INNOKIN device for review; this time we’re looking at their Klypse Pro pod kit. This new release is the 4th pod kit that bears the Klypse name and it’s an upgraded version of their original Klypse pod kit which we reviewed back in April 2022.

Since the first Klypse Pod device, we’ve also reviewed the other Klypse releases; the Klypse Mecha and the Klypse Zip, all equally good devices in their own right.

The original Klypse Pod device was the first to introduce the protective magnetic dust-proof top cap and was primarily aimed at being a simple to use, no fuss device that suited the transitional smoker and new vaper. For this reason it was limited in its functionality. However, the new Klypse Pro, while maintaining its simplicity and of course the magnetic top cap, now incorporates several major upgrades making it even more versatile.

While the Klypse Pro kit includes the upgraded Klypse 2.0 pods, these are backward compatible with the other Klypse devices. Equally the earlier Klypse pods are also compatible with this new Klypse Pro.
As with all our reviews, we’ll give a quick overview first highlighting the main function of the Innokin Klypse Pro and then jump into the main body of the review where we cover its design, functionality, performance and everything else in between.
Overview of the Klypse Pro

The Innokin Klypse Pro now includes variable wattage ranging from 6W to 25W, adjustable in 0.5W increments. It will also automatically detect the resistance of the Klypse pod that’s fitted and limit the maximum wattage level that can be set.
It’s a draw activated Mouth to Lung (MTL) / Restricted Direct to Lung (RDL) pod device and now includes variable airflow via a slider lever on one side of the Klypse Pro casing. This allows you to further fine tune your desired draw.

An upgraded larger internal 1000mAh rechargeable battery will charge the Klypse Pro in approximately 70 minutes from the supplied charging cable that connects to the Type-C USB port on the bottom of the device, specified as 5V/1A. It also has pass-through so you can vape while it’s being charged.

The Klypse Pro also now includes a small OLED display, very similar to that we saw when reviewing the Z Pod Nano and Zyon pod devices. This highlights the wattage level, coil resistance, battery level and vape time readings.

It also has a tri-colored LED beneath the INNOKIN brand name that illuminates to show the current discharge and charging status of the battery.
A rectangular control button (it’s not a fire button) on the side edge of the Klypse Pro turns it on/off and adjusts the variable wattage levels.

The Klypse Pro pod kit includes two upgraded 0.6 ohm and 0.8 ohm Klypse 2.0 pods with an e-liquid capacity of 2ml. They are refillable via a concealed side fill port and have a clear tint to the pods so your e-liquid level is clearly visible.

Made out of aluminum alloy, the Klypse Pro is only very slightly bigger that the original Klypse device. It still has the very popular magnetic dust-proof top cap and comes in 8 different striking colors, 4 of which we have here to review.
The major upgrades that have been added have resulted in a great functioning and performing pod device that will appeal to an even wider audience.

I would like to thank Alisa at Innokin for sending us 4 different color Klypse Pro pod kits with additional 1.2 ohm Klypse pods for the purpose of this review. As always this review is completely unbiased and only reflects our honest opinion and thoughts based on our findings while using the supplied Innokin Klypse Pro Kits.

We received a couple of additional packs of 1.2 ohm Klypse pods to try and we’ve included a photo of these together with the packaging. They come in a pack of 3 and are individually wrapped in sealed paper sachets. We will cover the performance of this pod in the relevant Performance section.
Klypse Pro Pod Kit Packaging

For the last couple of years Innokin have led the way with using 100% recyclable cardboard packaging which we’ve always been very happy to see. For some reason, the Klypse Pro packaging has deviated away from this format as the insert tray that houses the device is plastic.

The packaging is a slide off outer cardboard sleeve and an open cardboard box with a black plastic insert tray that houses the Klypse Pro device with the 0.6 ohm Klypse pod installed and the dust-proof top cap fitted. Beneath the lift out tray is a cardboard packet that contains the 0.8 ohm Klypse pod, a Type-C USB charging cable, the warning booklet and user manual. The overall dimensions of the packaging box measures 130mm x 79mm x 38mm.

On the front of the outer sleeve is a glossy photo of the Innokin Klypse Pro in the color of the included device together with the branding “Innokin” and “Klypse Pro Kit”. The color name is printed to the right of the photo and below this is the large nicotine safety warning.
It’s good to see that Innokin still include the following statement above the nicotine warning “The following warning applies when the product is used with nicotine-containing e-liquids”.

The reverse side of the box details the “Package Contents”, “Manufacturer’s Details”, “CE/Kitemark” logo’s, “Authentication Scratch and Verify Sticker”, “Barcode”, “Manufacture Date” and the “Nicotine Safety Warning”.

The left side of the outer sleeve has 2 different icons; “Compatible with All Klypse Pods (0.6/0.8/1.2/1.7 ohm)” and “Dust-proof Magnetic Cap”. Below these is a smaller image of the Klypse Pro with the dust cap removed. The right side displays 5 different icons; “Upgraded Pod Performance”, “1000mAh larger Battery”, “6-25W Adjustable Power”, “Side Hidden Screen” and “Precision Airflow Control”.

As you can see from the photos throughout our review, we received four different colors of the Klypse Pro Kit for the purpose of our review.
Note: The side of the packaging states the Klypse Pro is compatible with all the Klypse Pods and it includes a 1.7 ohm pod. I’m not aware of a refillable 1.7 ohm pod unless Innokin are referring to their Klypse C1 pre-filled pods which are 1.7 ohms. We reviewed the Klypse C1 pre-filled pods in our Klypse Zip review so do take a look if you want to know about them.
Preparing to Use the Klypse Pro Kit

Once you remove the Klypse Pro device from the inner plastic housing, remove the clear film protector from the full length black smoked side edge that contains the rectangular control button and hidden OLED display.

Pull off the colored protective dust-proof top cap and lift out the Klypse pod from the Klypse Pro body pod recess. Remove the protection sticker that’s placed across the bottom of the 0.6 ohm pod coil contact pins.

Open the silicone rubber fill port stopper on the side edge of the pod and fill the pod with your e-liquid. When filled, resecure the rubber stopper and reinsert the pod into the Klypse Pro device. The pod can be fitted either way around.
I recommend leaving the pod to stand for 10-15 minutes for the e-liquid to fully saturate the wick/coil before first using.

Switch the Klypse Pro on by pressing the control button 3 times in quick succession. Set the wattage to its lowest value (6W) by pressing the control button 2 times and adjusting the wattage. Take a few draws and gradually increase the wattage taking further draws until you reach your desired setting.
We’ve covered how to Charge, Fill, and Adjust your Innokin Klypse Pro in the relevant sections of this review. You can click on these hyperlinks if you want to go direct to these sections.
Innokin Klypse Pro Pod Kit Design and Appearance
The Klypse Pro Body

The Innokin Klypse Pro is very reminiscent of the original Klypse Pod device in terms of its shape and size. However, it does come with some major upgrades to the functionality.

It’s a compact, variable wattage (6W – 25W) auto-draw activated vape pod and is constructed out of aluminum alloy. It’s a slim, rectangular oval design with two opposing flat angled sides measuring 97mm tall, 31.5mm wide by 16mm deep. It weighs in at 56 grams.

Just like the original Klypse Pod, the Klypse Pro incorporates a removable dust-proof top cap. When the dust cap is fitted, it mirrors the Klypse Pro body in color and style making it appear like a single oblong casing. This cap is a snap push fit and covers the pod to keep out any dust or debris when the Klypse Pro is not in use.

Removing the dust cap is easy; simply pull the cap away from the Klypse Pro body and then flip the dust cap over and it will magnetically attach to the base of the Klypse Pro body by the two flush fitting magnets. These are pretty strong so the dust cap in most cases won’t become detached.

The Klypse Pro doesn’t have the conventional + and – adjustment buttons as the wattage is adjusted in 0.5W steps using the small rectangular control button. This sits on the side edge that’s smoked black in color which also incorporates a small hidden 0.42 inch single color OLED display.
It also boasts “Smart Wattage Control” which automatically detects the resistance of the fitted Klypse pod and limits the maximum wattage that can be selected as follows:

- 0.6 ohm pod: = 25W Max
- 0.8 ohm pod: = 15W Max

Powered by an internal 1000mAh capacity rechargeable battery, it’s recharged using the supplied charging cable that comes in the kit via the Type-C USB port on the bottom of the Klypse Pro body, specified as 5V/1A. Charging time takes approximately 70 minutes to fully charge the internal battery and it does have pass-through so you can charge and vape at the same time.

Variable airflow is controlled by a sliding lever positioned on the flat face of the Klypse Pro casing which provides the MTL and RDL vaping style draw. This lever protrudes from the side casing by less than 1mm so it shouldn’t inadvertently move of its own accord. It has two small holes in the base plate of the slider; one is partially visible when the airflow is closed off, when open both holes are visible.

A small and simple 0.42 inch single color OLED display, the same as we saw on the Z Pod Nano and Zyon, sits just below the control button and is only visible when you draw on the pod or press the control button. The display information is minimal and it doesn’t have any menus but includes a numerical wattage value, remaining battery charge icon, the Innokin name, a vape time reading and the pod resistance is displayed whenever you fit the pod.
This display, although small, is clear to read and pretty bright. Turning the Klypse Pro on and off is carried out by 3 quick clicks of the control button and the wattage adjustment is done by 2 quick clicks followed by multiple presses to reach your desired wattage level. We’ve covered the exact procedure of how to adjust the wattage in the Functionality section of this review.

In addition to this OLED display, there is also a tri-colored LED on the flat side angled edge to the left of the full length smoked black panel that sits beneath the INNOKIN name.

The LED monitors the charge and discharge status of the battery and will illuminate when you draw on the device or when it’s being charged in the color relating to the battery as follows:
| Battery Discharge Status | Battery Charging Status |
| Red = Less than 10% | Red = Less than 90% |
| Yellow = 10% to 30% | Green = Greater than 90% |
| Green = Greater than 30% | — |

On the base of the Klypse Pro body are the usual printed CE markings together with its battery capacity; 1000mAh, 3.80Wh and 3.8V. The USB-C charging port sits to the right of these markings against the smoked black side edge. There are two concealed magnets in the base plate that secure the dust-proof top cap when it’s fitted.

At the top of the Klypse Pro is a very deep (22mm) pod recess that also has a plastic 5mm raised shroud where the dust-proof top cap is secured. In the pod recess are two gold plated spring loaded coil contact pins, two opposed circular black magnets that line up with the pod and a smaller gold plated pin which is the auto-draw sensor. There is also an airflow chamber that leads down to the airflow slider lever.

The Klypse pod can be fitted either way around into this recess and is held securely in place by the two magnets. Unlike other pods, it fits quite low into the recess leaving just the 15mm mouthpiece and coil chimney visible.
As the pod is fitted, the OLED display will illuminate with the pod resistance and the INNOKIN name on the flat angled side will illuminate in the color relating to the battery status. After approximately 5 seconds both displays will extinguish.

The only other branding, apart from the battery information on the base is the “Klypse Pro” name screen printed on the opposing flat angled side.
As is standard on most vape device, the Klypse Pro ensures the following safety protections are maintained:
- Overtime Protection
- Low Battery Protection
- Over Charge Protection
- No Load / High Resistance Protection
- Low Resistance / Short-Circuit Protection
- Overheat Protection

There are 8 colors available in the Klypse Pro Pod Kit range:
- Red
- Green
- Blue
- Black
- Silver
- Grey
- Rose Purple
- Dark Violet

We luckily received four different color Klypse Pro’s from Innokin to test which we’ve shown throughout this review. With the exception of the Rose Purple and Dark Violet, the remaining colors are a solid uniform single color. The colored surfaces of the Klypse Pro bodies are a semi-matte finish so they don’t show any marks or fingerprints.
The Klypse Pods

The new Klypse 2.0 pods, while looking very similar to the older version, have been upgraded to improve performance with a longer coil lifespan, purer flavor reproduction and a 3 layer leak-proof structure. Two Klypse pods come with the Klypse Pro kit, a 0.6 ohm Klypse pod that’s pre-fitted to the Klypse Pro and a 0.8 ohm Klypse pod that’s included in the spares pack.
Additional 1.2 ohm refillable Klypse pods and the Klypse C1 pre-filled pods (both sold separately) are available and compatible for using in the Klypse Pro pod kit. We have previously used these when we reviewed the Klypse Zip kit at the end of 2023.

As we mentioned earlier, we received the new 1.2 ohm Klypse 2.0 pods so we’ve included them in this review for reference.

The Klypse pods are refillable with a 2ml e-liquid capacity and have integrated (non-replaceable) mesh coils meaning once the coil degrades after several weeks use the whole pod will need replacing.

Manufactured out of slightly tinted PCTG material, it’s smoked in color but is transparent so you can see your e-liquid through it. The pod has a duck bill type mouthpiece which tapers down to an oval opening with a circular 5mm center section chimney leading down into the coil. This provides the MTL/RDL vaping styles depending on the pod you use and the airflow control setting.

The Klypse pods are a side filled design with the opening concealed behind a flush fitting silicone rubber plug. To gain access to the fill port, the pod has to be removed from the Klypse Pro body. This plug has an indented arrow on it which identifies which end is to be lifted away to gain access to the filling port.

When the plug is opened, the other end of the silicone rubber flap will remain attached to the pod so it won’t get lost. This plug can be rotated out of the way when you are filling. The fill port hole is slightly oval and measures 4mm – 4.5mm allowing for most e-liquid tip bottles.

On the underside of the pod are two gold plated coil contacts, two air intake holes and two circular outer magnets that locate against the magnets in the Klypse Pro body. The pod can be fitted either way around and it simply slides into the recessed opening of the Klypse Pro body and is secured with the magnetic contacts.

Branding on the pod is only visible when the pod is removed. Printed on one side is “INNOKIN” with the usual “CE” markings and on the other side are “KLYPSE”, the “Coil Resistance” and a “MIN” e-liquid line. Do make sure you don’t let your e-liquid level fall below this line otherwise the coil will be destroyed and you will need to replace the pod with a new one.

The Klypse pod fits quite deep into the pod recess only leaving 15mm above the plastic shroud that’s visible. To check your e-liquid level while the pod is attached, tilt the Klypse Pro on its side and the remaining e-liquid will be visible in the mouthpiece section. I found removing the pod at times was a little awkward as there’s not much of the mouthpiece to grip.

When you insert the pod, the OLED display will illuminate showing the pod resistance together with the tri-color LED through the INNOKIN name in the color corresponding to the remaining battery charge. We’ve detailed what the remaining battery charge status is against each color shown on the LED in the Functionality section in this review.
During the time I’ve been using the Klypse Pro pod kits there have been NO leaks or any condensation on the base of the pod or around the recessed contact pins. The pod also fits very securely and doesn’t rattle or wobble.
One point worth mentioning, and this really does apply for ALL pods. If you’re not using the mod for a day or more, take the pod out of the device as e-liquid WILL eventually seep into the pod recess over time and may damage your devices battery.
Innokin Klypse Pro Pod Kit Functionality

The Innokin Klypse Pro has increased functionality over the original Klypse Pod device. It’s still simple and straightforward to use but now includes a single control button that switches the device on/off and is used to adjust the variable wattage of 6W – 25W. It also includes variable airflow control, a 0.42 inch OLED display and a tri-colored LED that illuminates through the INNOKIN name.
It’s draw activated so the control button doesn’t fire the Klypse Pro. There are no menu options as the main OLED display screen only shows:

- Numerical wattage level
- Battery icon with 4 rectangular bars
- Innokin name
- Numerical vape time reading

This vape time reading is only present when you draw on the mouthpiece and will remain visible for approximately 3 seconds after you’ve drawn. After that it will switch back to the main display for a further 5 seconds and then extinguish.
The small battery icon in the OLED display has 4 rectangular white bars within the icon with each bar representing the current discharge status of the battery:

- 1 bar = 0% – 25%
- 2 bars = 25% – 50%
- 3 bars = 50% – 75%
- 4 bars = 75% – 100%

In addition to the OLED display, a tri-colored LED that illuminates beneath the INNOKIN name will be visible when you insert the pod, draw on the pod or when it’s being charged as follows:
| Battery Discharge Status | Battery Charging Status |
| Red = Less than 10% | Red = Less than 90% |
| Yellow = 10% to 30% | Green = Greater than 90% |
| Green = Greater than 30% | — |
The OLED display screen will also highlight the different levels of protection and any safety prompts through a sequence of different flashes for each condition:
- Low Battery Voltage: OLED battery icon and Innokin logo will flash 8 times, LED flashes Red 8 times
- No Load / High Resistance: OLED display flashes “—-“, LED turns Green
- Low Resistance/Short Circuit: OLED display shows “—-“, LED flashes Red for 5 seconds
- Auto Shut Off (Cut-Out): OLED display flashes “—-“ 10 times, LED flashes 10 times
- Temperature Overheat: OLED display flashes “—-“ 3 times, LED flashes Red 3 times
Quick Start Operation
- Control button pressed 3 times turns the device on or off
- Control button pressed 2 times, then press while the value flashes adjusts the wattage
Powering On/Off
When the Klypse Pro is turned on, the INNOKIN LED light will flash red, yellow and finally green and the OLED display will show the wattage level and battery status. When the Klypse Pro is turned off, the LED light flashes 2 times in the color of the current battery level and the OLED display indicates “OFF”.
Smart Wattage Control

Smart pod/coil detect automatically reads the resistance of the fitted Klypse pod and will initially display this resistance value when the pod is inserted into the pod recess. Don’t panic if the measured resistance on the display doesn’t exactly match the pod resistance printed on the pod.

The Klypse Pro will limit the maximum wattage that can be applied to each of the different resistance pods so you can’t apply excessive wattage to the pod. You can decrease or increase the wattage from the recommended power if you wish as it still produces a really good vape experience. I’ve included the 1.2 ohm Klypse pod in the following chart for reference.
| Pod Resistance | Recommended Power | Klypse Pro Min/Max Setting |
| Klypse 0.6 ohm Pod | 20W – 22W | 6W- 25W |
| Klypse 0.8 ohm Pod | 12W – 13W | 6W – 15W |
| Klypse 1.2 ohm Pod | 11W – 12W | 6W – 15W |
Increasing/Decreasing the Wattage Level
Press the control button 2 times and the numerical power level will flash. While the display is flashing, each press of the control button will increase the wattage value in 0.5W steps. Holding the control button down will scroll through the wattage levels quicker.
If you want to reduce the wattage level, you have to first take it to its maximum wattage setting for the particular pod you’re using then the next press of the control button starts back at the lowest wattage value (6W).
Screen Timeout
The OLED display screen will remain illuminated for approximately 5 seconds after you draw on the Klypse Pro or after the control button is released.
Vape Cut-Off / Timeout

Cut-Off/Timeout is a safety feature to prevent prolonged drawing on the device/mouthpiece. Drawing continually for longer than 10 seconds will activate the cut-off. The OLED display screen will show “—-“, the LED will illuminate and both will flash 10 times.
Airflow

The Klypse Pro has an adjustable airflow lever on the side of the Klypse Pro casing. When looking at it face-on, the airflow is restricted when the airflow lever is positioned to the left. Two thirds of one hole will still be visible and it produces a restrictive MTL draw. Moving the airflow lever to the right will increase the airflow and opening both holes provides an airy MTL or restrictive DTL draw.
Innokin Klypse Pro Pod Performance

Two pods are supplied with the Klypse Pro pod kit; a 0.6 ohm and a 0.8 ohm. We received additional 1.2 ohm pods so will check the performance of these out too. These are new Klypse pods which have now been upgraded to increase performance, improve coil lifespan and incorporate a 3 layer leak-proof structure.
As always, when filling the pod for the first time, leave to stand for 10-15 minutes before you use it. I would suggest when using a new pod for the first time altering the wattage to the lowest setting on the Klypse Pro (6W) and taking a few draws to pull e-liquid through the coil. Slowly increase the wattage and at each power level take a couple more draws until you reach your desired power level.
I’ve used the same 50VG/50PG e-liquid with a nicotine strength of 4mg through each of the pods as a reference to see if there was any difference between the 3 different pods.
Klypse 0.6 ohm Pod (pre-fitted)

Innokin specify the optimum wattage range for this pod is 20W – 22W. With this pod fitted the working range of the Klypse Pro is 6W – 25W.
At 6W the flavor and vapor was only just present as expected. Increasing the power level to 8W started to bring through the flavor with a little more vapor from a 2-3 second draw. With the wattage set to 10W the flavor became more prominent and the amount of vapor was becoming dense.
For me, once I got to 12W the pod was performing well with plenty of flavor present and more than expected vapor from a 1.5 second draw. For those of you that have read my reviews, you’ll know I prefer a long slow draw and at this wattage it was very nice.
Increasing the wattage in 2 watt steps up to 20W does produce a quicker more intense draw at each power level with increased flavor and lots of vapor. Taking the Klypse Pro to its maximum 25W performs really well and kept up with no dry hits.
My preferred power level for this pod was between 12W – 14W with the airflow fully open which gave a very nice RDL draw. Restricting the airflow tightens the draw but at higher wattage levels the vape becomes warmer. For short sharp draws then 18W – 20W worked perfectly.
I’ve been using the 0.6 ohm pod for around 2 weeks, having cycled approximately 90ml of e-liquid through the pod with no loss of flavor and no signs of leaking or condensation on the pod base.
Klypse 0.8 ohm Pod

Innokin specify the optimum wattage range for this pod is 12W – 13W. With this pod fitted the working range of the Klypse Pro is 6W – 15W.
At 6W the flavor and vapor was already present and I have to say was pretty good from a 2-3 second draw. Increasing the power level to 8W improved the flavor and the amount of vapor was very dense, much more than I expected. At this power level I was more than happy with the results.
Increasing the wattage to 10W was probably my ideal setting which gave a great RDL draw with the airflow open and an airy MTL draw with the airflow closed.
12W speeds up the draw with the same flavor and vapor results. Taking the Klypse Pro to its maximum 15W gave me a very short sharp draw which if this is your thing is great but I preferred the longer slow draw at 10W.
I’ve been using the 0.8 ohm pod for just over a week and have cycled approximately 50ml of e-liquid through the pod with no loss of flavor and no signs of leaking or condensation on the pod base.
Klypse 1.2 ohm Pod (sold separately)

Innokin specify the optimum wattage range for this coil/pod is 11W – 12W. With this pod fitted the working range of the Klypse Pro is 6W – 15W.
At 6W the flavor and vapor was present and again was pretty good from a 2-3 second draw. Increasing the power level to 8W really did improve the flavor and the vapor again was very dense. I was more than happy at this power level as it gave a great vape.
Increasing the wattage to 10W was pretty intense and only needed a very quick draw to get the desired effect. 12W was too powerful for me when the airflow was open but closing it down for a MTL draw was pretty spot on. At the maximum 15W the draw fizzles but did keep up with no dry hits.
My ideal setting for this pod was at 8W and I alternated between a MTL draw with the airflow closed and a RDL with the airflow open.
I’ve been using the 1.2 ohm pod on and off for nearly 3 weeks and have cycled approximately 40ml of e-liquid through the pod with no loss of flavor and no signs of leaking or condensation on the pod base.
Any Leaks?
Throughout my time using the different resistance Klypse pods there was no evidence of any leaks or any condensation on the pod coil contact pins. I can also say there was no seepage from around the filling port either.
Airflow
Airflow adjustment is very good. The slider has a positive feel to it and is fairly restrictive. Because it hardly protrudes from the Klypse Pro casing it won’t move on its own. Sliding the control lever to the right will open the airflow producing an RDL vape style, while closing the airflow (slider to the left) restricts the airflow providing a tight MTL draw.
The back-plate to the airflow lever has two cut-outs so you can fine tune the air intake to suit for desired draw.
Auto Draw
Auto draw is very responsive and irrespective of the airflow setting it always activated. The only thing to be aware of is you will have to increase the pressure of your draw when the airflow is fully open.
Performance Summary

Both the included 0.6 ohm and 0.8 ohm pods, including the 1.2 ohm pod were impressive and performed really well. The flavor from each pod came through below the minimum optimum recommended wattage.
The amount of vapor was also more than expected even when using at a low set wattage. The wicking ports kept up well with my 50/50 e-liquid and at maximum wattage.
Throat hit from my 4mg freebase nicotine was good and I can imagine a higher strength nicotine salt mix would produce great results.
Longevity of these new Klypse pods is a little unknown as I’ve only been using them for the last 3-4 weeks but they are still performing really well.
Innokin Klypse Pro Kit Battery Performance
The Klypse Pro is powered by an internal rechargeable 1000mAh capacity battery. It comes with a nominal charge but I would recommend fully charging the battery first before you use it. Our How to Charge section covers what you can expect when charging the Klypse Pro.
Battery performance is always subjective and depends on the power (wattage) you vape at, the type (resistance) of pod you’re using and your vaping style i.e. duration and frequency of your draw.
On average I was getting between 9.5 – 11 hours vaping time from a fully charged battery before the battery cut-out. My wattage during this time was set to 12W when using the 0.6 ohm pod. My vape time increased by approximately 1.5 hours when using the 0.8 ohm pod set to 10W.

The Klypse Pro indicates the status of the remaining battery charge in one of two ways; via the battery icon on the OLED display and the LED light that shines through the INNOKIN name.
When looking at the OLED display screen, the battery icon consisting of 4 individual white bars. These bars will slowly decrease as the battery drains until eventually all the white bars disappear when the battery required charging. Each white bar represents a percentage discharge as follows:
- 1 bar = 0% – 25%
- 2 bars = 25% – 50%
- 3 bars = 50% – 75%
- 4 bars = 75% – 100%
The tri-colored LED light beneath the INNOKIN name will change color from Green at full charge to Red as the battery approaches discharge as follows:
- Green = Greater than 30%
- Yellow = 30% – 10%
- Red = Less than 10%
Drawing on the pod will illuminate both the OLED display and the tri-colored LED light. Pressing the control button illuminates the OLED display only.
I did monitor the approximate vaping times between each stage of color change when using the 0.6 ohm pod with the wattage set to 12W. I did struggle a little as the color change from Green to Yellow was very difficult to distinguish. What I can say though is once the LED light turns Red, you have nearly 2 hours vaping time before it starts to flash and cut out.
Once the battery runs out of charge (Low Voltage Cut-Off), the Innokin logo with the battery icon next to it on the OLED display will flash 8 times and the LED light through the INNOKIN name will also flash Red 8 times. At this point, the Klypse Pro will require charging. It does have “pass-thru” so you don’t have to wait until it’s fully charged.
The intensity of the draw remained constant and doesn’t diminish as the battery drains.
How Do I Fill The Klypse Pod?

The Innokin Klypse pod is a side fill design. You’ll have to remove the pod from the Klypse Pro body in order to fill with e-liquid. Simply hold the Klypse Pro body with one hand, grasp the pod mouthpiece with your other hand and pull the pod away from the Klypse Pro body.
Because the pod fits quite low in the pod recess, only the mouthpiece is visible. This doesn’t give much surface area to grasp making it quite difficult to remove especially when the mouthpiece is smooth and slippery. A firm grip of thumb and forefinger is needed to remove the pod.

The fill port is located on one side of the pod and is concealed behind a black silicon rubber flap. This flap sits flush with the side of the pod. A small arrow highlights which part of the rubber flap lifts away but for reference, it’s the end located towards the top of the pod. This silicone rubber flap is attached to the pod so there’s no chance of it getting lost.
Because the fill port opening is pretty wide, it’ll accept those larger e-liquid/shortfill bottles.

Pull open the flap and insert your e-liquid drip tip into the opening. Tilt the pod on its side to aid filling and to get the maximum amount of e-liquid into the pod. Once filled, re-insert the silicon rubber flap making sure the fill port is securely re-seated.
Re-insert the pod into the Klypse Pro body till it’s held in place by the magnetic catches.
Quick Tip: If you are filling the pod for the first time, once filled, leave to stand for approx. 10-15 minutes before you start to vape. This will help saturate the wick fully in e-liquid and help prolong the life of the coil/pod.
When and How Do I Change The Klypse Pod?

Because the Klypse pods have fixed integrated coils they are NOT replaceable. When the coil starts to degrade after a couple of weeks use, the pod will need to be discarded and a new pod fitted.
An indication of the pod degrading will show by either a loss of flavor and/or a lack of vapor. Continuing beyond this loss of flavor/vapor may result in a burnt coil resulting in a nasty burnt taste. Equally the coil in the pod could fail going open or short circuit. Either way, when this happens discard the pod and fit a new one.

Pull the pod away from the Klypse Pro body, discard and fit a new pod. Unfortunately if you still have e-liquid in the pod, this will have to be discarded as well.
When fitting a new pod, follow the procedure for How Do I Fill The Pod. As you insert the pod into the Klypse Pro body, the OLED display will show the pod resistance and the LED light will briefly illuminate to identify the pod has been fitted.
How Do I Charge The Innokin Klypse Pro?
Once the Klypse Pro’s 1000mAh capacity battery runs out of charge, the battery icon and Innokin logo on the OLED display screen flashes 8 times and the LED light through the INNOKIN name will flash Red 8 times. The Klypse Pro at this point will no longer fire and have to be placed on charge.

Using the supplied USB to Type-C charging cable, connect the cable into the Type-C port on the bottom of the Klypse Pro body and the other end into a suitable USB power source (1A or higher).
When the Klypse Pro is first placed on charge, the OLED display illuminates and flashes for 3 seconds. The small bars in the battery icon will start to count upwards and after approximately 5 seconds the display will extinguish and remain blank throughout the charging cycle. The LED light through the INNOKIN name will initially flash and then remain illuminated throughout the charging cycle in the color relating to the charge status and then extinguish when full charge is reached:

- Red Innokin name = Less than 90% of charge
- Green Innokin name = Greater than 90% of charge
- Innokin name extinguished = Full charge
The USB charging circuit of the Klypse Pro is specified as 5V/1.0A so will fully charge the device in approximately 70 minutes. The Klypse Pro does have “‘pass-thru” therefore you are able to charge and vape at the same time but this will increase the charging time.
I timed the charging cycle using a 1.0A source to determine the length of time it took for the tri-colored LED (INNOKIN name) to change color as follows:
- Red – Green = 44 minutes
- Green – LED extinguished = A further 26 minutes
- Total charging time = 70 minutes (1h 10 mins)
During the charging cycle, the body of the Klypse Pro does remain reasonably cool to the touch. I would however recommend charging this and any other vape mod or pod on a non-flammable surface.
As with any vape device, NEVER leave it unattended whilst charging.
Innokin Klypse Pro Pod Kit Price
I started to write about how impressed I was with the upgrades that the Klypse Pro has undergone; increased battery capacity, OLED display, 25W variable wattage, variable airflow control, improved pods and more. Before I got too carried away I thought I best check the price that it’s retailing at.
Well, I’m speechless!
The highest price I saw this at was £14.99 and the lowest was £10.99. Considering all of the above, coupled with the really good performance from the two included Klypse pods, this has got to be one of the best pod kits for the price I’ve seen in a very long time.

Innokin Klypse Pro Pod Kit Summary

The Innokin Klypse Pro pod kit is a well built device, looks impressive, feels comfortable and tactile and the performance is impressive. The major upgrades the Klypse Pro has undergone over the original Klypse Pod device have turned this into a fantastic pod kit.
These improvements include the increased 1000mAh capacity battery, variable wattage, the 0.42 inch OLED display, the tri-colored LED light, 25W max plus smart wattage control, 2 upgraded Klypse pods that are included in the kit and the improved performance. Add all this to the incredibly low price of just over £10 and the Klypse Pro really in a serious contender!
The original Klypse was a really good and very popular device. Innokin have done a remarkable job with the Klypse Pro and I feel this is going to be the flagship in their Klypse range.
