Over a year has passed since we reviewed Innokin’s Klypse Pod Kit back in May 2022. This was a first of its kind with a removable magnetic dust cap that protected the mouthpiece from dust and dirt ingress. It was and still is a very good device so do take a look at our Klypse Pod Kit Review as this may take your fancy too.
Moving forward, Innokin have redesigned the original Klypse making it shorter and wider and now calling it the Klypse Zip refillable pod kit. It still uses the same pod system so the pods are cross compatible between the two different Klypse devices.

Interestingly Innokin have also released their Klypse C1 which are pre-filled pods that come in 16 different flavors and again will fit both the Klypse and Klypse Zip kits. We have received a couple of the Klypse C1 flavors to try so will discuss our thoughts on these within this review.

The Klypse Zip still has the stylish dust cap that protects the mouthpiece when not in use, although it’s no longer magnetic like the original Klypse. Instead it relies on a secure push fit to keep it in place. The design and shape of the Klypse Zip is no longer the elongated flattened tube shape of the original Klypse Pod kit, but more in line with a square(ish) small box style device.
I would go as far to say that it resembles the size and shape of the original “Zippo” cigarette lighters which may be why Innokin are calling this one the “Zip”.
Anyway, sit back, relax and take a look at our Innokin Klypse Zip Pod Kit Review and see just what this new release is all about and what it has to offer.
Overview of the Innokin Klypse Zip Pod Kit
The Innokin Klypse Zip Pod Kit has an adaptive power output level of 14.5W Max. It will auto sense the pod resistance and set the wattage level accordingly. Only the 1.2 ohm pod is included in the kit but the 0.8 ohm pod and the Klypse C1 prefilled pods can be purchased separately.

It’s a draw activated Mouth to Lung (MTL) pod device (no fire button) and incorporates an internal 650mAh rechargeable battery. Made out of aluminum alloy and measuring 67.8mm x 44.5mm x 17mm, it comes in 8 different striking but subtle colors.
E-liquid capacity of the pod is 2ml and is refillable via the side filling port. The 1.2 ohm coil is an integral part of the pod meaning it’s not replaceable. When the coil degrades, the pod is disposed of and a new pod fitted.
Airflow is non-adjustable and produces a reasonably restrictive MTL style vape. Charging the Klypse Zip takes approximately 1 hour via the Type-C USB port on the bottom of the device, specified as 5V/750mA. The Klypse Zip kit doesn’t include a charging cable for the reasons of keeping the kit price to a minimum.

There are no control/adjustment buttons and no display panel other than a small concealed color changing LED that is positioned on the base of the Klypse Zip against one of the small flat side edges of the body.
This LED illuminates when the pod is inserted or when you draw on the pod in the color that corresponds with the remaining charge left in the battery. It will also illuminate while the battery is being charged. See How do I Charge the Klypse Zip for a detailed breakdown of what the different colors stand for.

As mentioned earlier, the Klypse Zip still incorporates the fully enclosed top cap that snap fits over the top of the device. Unlike the original Klypse, once the top cap is removed it doesn’t magnetically attach to the Klypse Zip base.
On the top of the Klypse Zip, opposite to the duckbill pod mouthpiece, is a raised tag that you can connect a lanyard to, but again there isn’t one included in the kit.

I would like to thank Alisa at Innokin for sending me two Klypse Zip kits and two Klypse C1 prefilled flavor pods for the purpose of this review. As always this review is completely unbiased and is my honest opinion based during my time using the supplied Innokin Klypse Zip Pod Kits. With all Innokin products now the packaging and its contents come in 100% recyclable cardboard and the Klypse Zip kit is no exception. Unlike most traditional cardboard boxes with a lift to open top flap or a lift off lid, the Klypse Zip kit uses the same style packaging that we saw when we reviewed their Endura S1 kit.

Instead of the top of the cardboard box opening, the two bottom side edges are stuck with removable white circular stickers. Once this tape is removed, the outer cardboard sleeve reveals two square cutouts allowing finger access to grasp the slide out inner cardboard tray.
This tray will slide out completely and houses the Klypse Zip device which is simply removed from the front of the cardboard tray. Opening either the top or bottom lift out flap of the inner tray gives access to the Quick Guide pamphlet and Warning/Safety booklet.
The overall dimensions of the packaging measure 116mm tall by 78mm wide by 27mm deep. As you can see from the photos, the two different colors we received (Mint and Pearl), both came in color coordinating packaging with the shade on the front and sides depicting the color of the included device.

On the front of the box is an image of the Innokin Klypse Zip refillable pod kit together with the color name. There are 3 small icons showing “Dustproof Cap”, “1.2 ohm Mesh Coil” and “Cost Effective”. As with any TPD product, the large nicotine warning is always highly visible across the front of the package.

One side of the box highlights the product name “KLYPSE ZIP Refillable Pod Kit”, while the other side shows “INNOKIN” and the manufactured date stamp underneath their logo together with an authenticity sticker.

The reverse face of the box shows an image of the Klypse Zip with the top cap removed and details the device name, package contents, the company address, bar code and additional nicotine and safety warnings.
Klypse C1 Pre-filled Pods

As we received 2 packs of the Klypse C1 pre-filled pods that can be used with the Klypse and Klypse Zip, we’ve included a photo of the packaging and the Klypse C1 and will detail these where appropriate in this review.
Preparing to Use the Klypse Zip
Once you remove the Klypse Zip from the inner tray, remove the transparent film that’s covering the top of the removable dust cap. Remove the dust cap, take out the pod and remove the yellow sticker off the base of the pod that’s covering the bottom of the coil. This stops the pod from accidently firing during transport.

DO make sure you fill the Klypse Zip with your e-liquid and leave to stand for approximately 10-15 minutes before you first use the device with the new pod.

The Klypse Zip comes with a nominal charge but we do recommend fully charging the device before you first use it.
Innokin Klypse Zip Pod Kit Design and Appearance
Klypse Zip Body

The Innokin Klypse Zip is a very small, compact box style device with a fixed adaptive max wattage of 14.5W when fitted with the 1.2 ohm pod. It’s an auto-draw activated vape pod and the main body is constructed out of aluminum alloy. Its shape is a slim square design with curved side edges and two opposing flat angled sides and measures 67.8mm tall, 44.5mm wide by 17mm deep and weighs in at 36.5 grams (excluding the pod).

Now we’ve come to associate the name “Klypse” as being the pod with the protective dust cap, this new Klypse Zip kit is no different. The original Klypse dust cap was magnetic and very cleverly attached to the base of the device when it was being used.

The Klypse Zip dust cap still covers the entire top of the device by a push fit snap to lock in position but no longer has the magnets in the dust cap that can lock it onto the base of the Klypse Zip. Sadly this means it’s likely the dust cap over time could well get misplaced.

Considering the size of the dust cap in relation to the Klypse Zip body then it’s understandable. The height of the dust cap (31mm) is only just shy of the height of the Klypse Zip body (36mm).
These dust caps are colored black across the entire range of Klypse Zip colors and mirror the shape of the Zip body. They are made of plastic and have a solid fine mesh texture on their surface with the exception of the two flat opposing side angles and top. A small hole in the top of the dust cap allows a lanyard to pass through to attach to the top of the Zip body if you choose to use one.

Removing the dust cap is easy; simply pull the cap away from the Klypse Zip body and the removable pod and lanyard tag is then visible. The top section of the Zip body is also made of black plastic having the same solid fine mesh design.

Branding on the Klypse Zip body is screen printed on the two opposing flat angled sides with the words “INNOKIN” and “KLYPSE ZIP”.

The Klypse Zip incorporates an internal 650mAh battery and is charged via the Type-C USB port on the bottom of the Klypse Zip body, specified as 5V/750mA. Charging time will take approximately 1 hour to fully charge the battery. This base is also made of black plastic and includes the usual printed CE markings together with its battery capacity; 650mAh and 2.40Wh. The bottom of the Klypse Zip is flat meaning it does stand upright when placed on a level surface.

A concealed tri-colored LED, positioned on the black base of the Zip body towards the outer edge next to the USB port, provides the usual user information. Because the black base is approx. 2mm thick, the LED also illuminates through this side edge.
The LED will illuminate when the pod is fitted, when you draw on the pod and when it’s being charged showing the current status of the charge left in the battery. Safety features are also displayed, such as:
- Overtime Protection
- Output Over Current Protection
- Low Battery Protection
- Over Discharge Protection
- Over Charge Protection
- Atomizer Short-Circuit Protection

Airflow on the Klypse Zip is fixed and provides a semi-restrictive MTL draw. There is what appears to be a small indent on the top of the Klypse Zip body next to the pod recess that I assumed was the air intake. I couldn’t fit a pin through this indent and blocking it off didn’t alter the tightness of the draw. I guess it’s the result of the injection molding process. Where exactly the air intake is, is a bit of a mystery!
With the pod removed, the pod recess is very deep (22mm). In this recess are two gold plated spring loaded coil contact pins, two opposed magnets that line up with the pod and a small black raised pillar which is the auto draw sensor.

The pod can be fitted either way round into this recess and is held securely in place by the two magnets. As the pod is fitted, the small tri-color LED will flash once to indicate the pod has made contact with the two coil pins and is ready to be used.
There are 8 colors available in the Klypse Zip Pod Kit range:
- Scarlet
- Mint
- Indigo
- Charcoal
- Blush
- Purple
- Pearl *
- Graphite

The two devices we received for review were Mint and Pearl in color. Irrespective of the color you choose, the top section of the Klypse including the dust cap and flat base plate are black. The color surfaces on the Klypse Zip bodies are a matte finish so won’t show any marks or fingerprints.

* I should point out that the Pearl color I received does actually look Silver. I own a few Pearl mods/pods and they are typically off-white and change color depending on the angle of the reflected light falling on it. This one is a solid plain silver color.
Klypse Refillable Pod

The Klypse Zip pod is refillable with a 2ml e-liquid capacity and has an integrated 1.2 ohm mesh coil. The coil is not replaceable so once the coil degrades after a few weeks the whole pod will need replacing. Only one 1.2 ohm pod is included with the Klypse Zip kit but additional pods are available including a 0.8 ohm pod or the new Klypse C1 pre-filled pods in 16 different flavors.

All 3 types of pod; the 0.8 ohm, 1.2 ohm and the Klypse pre-filled C1’s are cross compatible with both the Klypse and Klypse Zip. We have previously tested the 0.8 ohm pod when we reviewed the Klypse Pod Kit so feel free to take a look at that review for our views on that one.
The original Klypse pod was a 0.8 ohm pod but it didn’t have the coil resistance written on it. The latest 0.8 ohm pods will have the resistance written on them to distinguish them from the 1.2 ohm pod. You can see from the photo above the old 0.8 ohm Klypse pod has a black silicone e-liquid stopper whereas the new ones are blue.

Manufactured out of tinted PCTG material, it’s smoked in color but is transparent so you can see your e-liquid through it. The pod has a duck bill type mouthpiece which tapers down to an oval opening with a circular 5mm centre section chimney leading down into the coil. This provides the MTL vape style.

The Klypse Zip pod is a side filling design with the opening concealed behind a flush fitting blue silicone rubber plug. To gain access to the fill port, the pod has to be removed from the Klypse Zip body. This plug has an indented arrow on it which identifies which end is to be lifted away to gain access to the filling port.

When the plug is opened the other end of the silicone rubber flap will remain attached to the pod so it won’t get lost. This plug can be rotated out of the way when you are filling. The fill port hole is slightly oval and measures 4mm – 4.5mm allowing for most e-liquid tip bottles.

On the underside of the pod are two gold plated coil contacts, two air intake holes and two small outer contacts that locate against the magnets in the Klypse Zip body. The pod can be fitted either way round and simply slides into the recessed opening of the Klypse Zip body and is secured with the magnetic contacts.

Branding on the pod is only visible when the pod is removed. Printed on one side is “INNOKIN” with the usual “CE” markings and on the other side are “KLYPSE”, the coil resistance; “1.2 ohm” and a “MIN” e-liquid line. Do make sure you don’t let your e-liquid level fall below this line otherwise the coil will be destroyed and you will need to replace the pod with a new one.

The Klypse Zip pod is quite long in length and does fit approximately 22mm into the Klypse Zip body. To check your e-liquid level while the pod is attached, tilt the Klypse Zip on its side and the remaining e-liquid will be visible in the mouthpiece section.
Once the pod is inserted, the LED will illuminate once in the color corresponding to the remaining battery charge to let you know the pod has made contact with the body and is ready for use. We’ve detailed what the charge status is against each color LED in the Functionality section in this review.
During the time I’ve been using the Klypse Zip pod kit there were NO leaks or any condensation on the base of the pod or around the recessed contact pins. The pod also fits securely and doesn’t rattle or wobble.
One point worth mentioning and this really does apply for ALL pods. If you’re not using the mod for a day or more, take the pod out of the device as e-liquid WILL seep into the pod recess over time.
Klypse C1 Prefilled Pod
Innokin has recently released the Klypse C1 which are pre-filled pods coming in 16 different flavors. The pre-filled pods (closed system) are similar in design to the refillable pods with the exception of 3 key points.

The non-replaceable coil is 1.7 ohms and the duckbill mouthpiece is NOT transparent meaning you can’t see the remaining e-liquid level. The opening of the mouthpiece is also slightly smaller to cater for the increased coil resistance and tighter draw.

Dimensions of the pod are exactly the same as the refillable 1.2 ohm pod, measuring 35mm x 25mm x 11.2mm. The C1 pre-filled pods also hold 2ml of e-liquid. Innokin state the puff count on the Klypse C1 pods is up to 600 puffs, but do bear in mind that the puff count is always ambiguous and depends of the length of each draw.

Each pod has the usual “CE” markings printed on one side while the other side has “KLYPSE C1” with the “Flavor Name” printed underneath. The base of the pod is slightly different from the refillable 1.2 ohm pod in that the airflow intake holes are a different shape, but they do still provide the tight MTL draw.
A total of 16 flavors are available to purchase in either 0mg or 20mg nicotine strength and come in packs of two as follows:
- Strawberry Watermelon
- Peach Ice
- Pink Lemonade
- Classic Tobacco
- Vanilla Custard
- Tangerine
- Mango Passion Ice
- Lemon Tart
- Mango Milk
- Jungle Juice
- Iced Cosmic
- Blueberry Bubble Gum
- Sour Berries
- Blueberry Grape
- Cherry Lemonade
- Rose Lychee

The two flavors we received to sample and review were Tangerine and Rose Lychee. I’ve included a brief section of the flavor profiles in the Performance section.
Innokin Klypse Zip Pod Kit Functionality

The Innokin Klypse Zip pod kit is about as simple to use as you can get. Yes the pod is refillable, but that’s it, unless you chose to use the pre-filled flavor Klypse C1 pods. No on/off, no airflow control, no variable wattage, no fire button, no replaceable coils and no display other than a concealed tri-colored LED that illuminates when you draw on the pod and when it’s being charged.
The on-board chip that controls the Innokin Klypse Zip maintains a constant output power throughout the discharge cycle of the battery, providing a responsive auto-draw activated vape. This chip also controls the included safety features and provides the visual indication via the concealed LED:
- Charging – LED remains illuminated
- Full charge – LED extinguishes
- Pod inserted – LED illuminates once
- Pod removed – LED flashes 5 times (Note 1)
- Low battery – LED flashes red 8 times
- Overtime protection – LED flashes 10 times
- Short circuit protection – LED illuminates for 5 seconds
Note 1: Removing the pod very slowly does NOT illuminate the LED and I wouldn’t expect it to. Removing the pod quickly makes the LED flash 5 times and this is caused by the inrush of air making the Klypse think that no pod is fitted.
Remaining Battery Charge Status

When drawing on the pod mouthpiece or when the pod is inserted into the Klypse Zip body, the tri-colored LED will illuminate in the color corresponding to the remaining charge left in the battery:
- Green LED: – 100% – 30%
- Yellow LED: – 30% – 10%
- Red LED: – Less than 10%
Once the battery becomes discharged, the tri-color LED will flash red 8 times once it reaches its low voltage cut-off and you will no longer be able to vape. At this point, the Klypse Zip will require recharging.
Battery Charging Status
When the Klypse Zip is placed on charge, the tri-color LED will illuminate in one of two colors. Once full charge is reached, the LED will extinguish as follows:
- Red LED: – <90%
- Green LED: – >90%
- LED extinguished: – Full Charge

It’s also worth noting that the Klypse Zip does have Pass-though, so you can vape on the pod while it’s being charged.
Overtime Protection
When your draw on the Klypse Zip pod for longer than 10 seconds, the LED will flash 10 times and the vape will cut off.
Innokin Klypse Zip Pod Performance
1.2 ohm Refillable Pod

As with most MTL vape pods, freebase or nicotine salts with a PG/VG ratio of 50/50 are recommended because of the smaller wicking ports and lower power. Using high VG e-liquid is likely to clog up the wicking ports in the coil leading to dry hits which will destroy the coil/pod.
When first using a new pod, I would recommend filling the pod with your e-liquid and leaving it to stand for 10-15 minutes to allow the e-liquid to saturate into the wick before vaping. This will improve the longevity of the pod before it needs replacing.
Using my normal Malaysian Mango e-liquid at 6mg freebase my first draw on the pod was very satisfying. The flavor came through straight away with a decent throat hit and the vapor was pretty impressive. After a few draws the flavor began to increase and I could really pick out the sweetness and profile of the flavor.
Auto-draw was responsive and worked every time providing a smooth, fairly quiet, semi-restrictive MTL draw. Even the slightest of draws activated the Klypse Zip pod. Even though the pod is 2ml the e-liquid also seemed to last a long time between refills.
Switching to 20mg nic salts gave the same good flavor and improved the throat hit and nicotine delivery.
At the time of writing this review, I’ve used the same pod for over 2 weeks and the pod/coil is showing no signs of faltering with no loss of flavor or vapor. It’s good to see Innokin have continued to use the semi-transparent pod material as tilting the Klypse Zip on its side clearly shows the level of e-liquid left in the pod.
Klypse C1 Prefilled Pods

Having received two additional packs of pre-filled Klypse C1 pods in Tangerine and Rose Lychee flavors, we put them to the test to see if they performed as expected.
Each pack consists of 2 pre-filled pods and the ones we received were 20mg (2%) strength. Innokin state they are good for up to 600 puffs. After initially removing the top and bottom silicone protectors, they are ready to use.
The flavor from each of the Klypse C1’s we received was very nice and authentic. They’re not excessively strong nor sweet, but very enjoyable. A cooling agent has been added but this is very subtle and in no way overpowering.
As for the stated “Up to 600” puff count I am very pleased to report, even with my 2-3 second draw, I got very near this figure and sometimes exceeded it. On average, each pod I tried lasted between 582 puffs and 657 puffs. I did notice that on a couple of pods, after approx. 580 puffs the flavor became a little muted with an “airy” taste.
Surprisingly, vaping beyond this stage still gave ok results well above the 600 puff count. Just out of curiosity I continued to vape one of the prefilled pods once the flavor had all but disappeared and still didn’t get that nasty burnt taste.
I am very pleased with the two flavors we’ve sampled and their performance, especially in terms of puff count. In the near future I plan on trying some of the other flavors Innokin do for this kit.
I’ve given a brief description of the two different flavors below:
Tangerine

Resembling the traditional Clementine/Tangerine/Orange flavor, It’s quite punchy and sour but very pleasant. A hint of coolness lingers but this is very subtle. Not my usual preferred flavor but nevertheless it’s an enjoyable vape.
Rose Lychee

A delicate blend of Lychee with a Rose fragrance on the intake, this flavor leaves a refreshing aftertaste. There is cooling agent added giving that slight lingering icy feeling in the back of your throat, but again it’s not strong. Definitely a nice flavor and one you could vape on all day long.
Innokin Klypse Zip Pod Kit Battery Performance
The Innokin Klypse Zip pod kit is powered by an internal 650mAh rechargeable battery. Charging time is pretty impressive, taking approximately 1 hour to fully charge via the on board 750 milliamp (0.75A) Type-C USB charge port.
With a fixed power level of 14.5W max, coupled with the 650mAh battery, I was expecting the battery to drain reasonably quickly. However, I was VERY surprised at just how long the battery lasted and on average I achieved an impressive 10 hours of vaping from a fully charged battery.
For you guys and girls that want to use the Klypse Zip with the Klypse C1 pre-filled pods you’re in for a big surprise. I didn’t record the vape time between charges when using the C1’s but can certainly say the vape time FAR exceeded the 10hrs I achieved when using the 1.2 ohm pod.
Another very pleasant surprise was the accuracy and repeatability of the timings between each color change of the tri-colored LED. Once the LED turns red you know you still have a good 15 minutes of vaping time before it reaches the low battery cut off. Battery performance is always subjective and depends on the duration of your draw and vaping style.
The Klypse Zip indicates the status of the battery during your draw and for 1 second afterwards. It will also illuminate each time the pod is inserted. The LED will illuminate in the color corresponding to the remaining battery level as follows:
- Green LED: – 100% – 30%
- Yellow LED: – 30% – 10%
- Red LED: – Less than 10%
- Flashing Red (8 times): – Requires charging
I recorded the approximate vaping time between each stage of color change as follows:
- Green – Orange: 8 hours
- Orange – Red: 1.5 hours
- Red – Flashing Red: 15 minutes
- Total vape time between charges is 9.75 hours
Once the battery is depleted of its charge as depicted by the low voltage cut-off value, the Klypse Zip LED will flash red 8 times and you will no longer be able to vape.
At this stage you will need to charge the device. We’ve covered charging the Klypse Zip in detail in the How do I Charge the Klypse Zip section. The Klypse Zip does have pass-through so you will be able to vape while it’s being charged.
Note: Please be aware that the vaping times I recorded above are only a guide as my vaping style may be different from others.
How Do I Fill The Klypse Zip Pod?

The Innokin Klypse Zip pod is a side fill design. You’ll have to remove the pod from the Klypse Zip body in order to fill with e-liquid. Simply hold the Klypse Zip body in one hand, grasp the pod mouthpiece with your other hand and pull the pod away from the Klypse Zip body.

Its fill port is located on one side of the pod and is concealed behind a blue silicon rubber flap. This flap sits flush with the side of the pod. A small arrow highlights which part of the rubber flap lifts away but for reference, it’s the end located towards the top of the pod. This silicone rubber flap is attached to the pod by a rubber pin so there’s no chance of it getting lost.

Pull open the flap and insert your e-liquid drip tip into the opening. The fill port opening is pretty wide (4mm – 4.5mm) so it will accept those larger e-liquid/shortfill bottles. Tilt the pod on its side to aid filling and to get the maximum amount of e-liquid into the pod.
The rubber flap will rotate out of the way of the fill port opening to give greater access to the opening. Once filled, reinsert the silicon rubber flap making sure the fill port is securely resealed. There is a “Min” e-liquid level printed on one side of the pod so ALWAYS make sure your e-liquid doesn’t fall below this line.

Reinsert the pod into the Klypse Zip body until it’s held in place by the magnetic catches. The tri-color LED will illuminate once showing the pod is connected.
Quick Tip: If you are filling the pod for the first time, leave to stand for approx. 10-15 minutes before you start to vape. This will help saturate the wick fully in e-liquid and help prolong the life of the coil/pod.
When and How Do I Change The Klypse Zip Pod?
Because the Klypse Zip pod has a fixed 1.2 ohm coil and is NOT replaceable, when the coil starts to degrade after a couple of weeks use, the pod will need to be discarded and a new pod fitted.
An indication of the coil degrading will show by either a loss of flavor and/or a lack of vapor. Continuing beyond this loss of flavor/vapor will finally result in a nasty burnt taste. Equally the coil could break going open or short circuit. Either way, when this happens discard the pod and fit a new one.

Pull the pod away from the Klypse Zip body, discard and fit a new pod. Unfortunately if you still have e-liquid in the pod, this will have to be discarded as well.
When fitting a new pod, follow the procedure for How Do I Fill The Pod. As you insert the pod into the Klypse Zip body, the LED will illuminate in the color relating to the remaining charge left in the battery to identify the pod has been fitted.
How Do I Charge The Innokin Klypse Zip?
When the Klypse Zip LED flashes red 8 times, it will require charging. As I pointed out earlier, the kit doesn’t include a charging cable so you will have to use one that you have to hand.
The Klypse Zip has an internal 650mAh capacity battery therefore charging is carried out using a USB to Type-C charging cable. Simply connect this cable into the Type-C port on the bottom of the Klypse Zip body and the other end into a suitable USB power source. The specified charging circuit of the Klypse Zip is 5V/0.75A.

When the Klypse Zip is placed on charge, the tri-colored LED will illuminate “RED” and remain lit if the battery capacity is below 10% of its charge. Once the battery reaches 90% of its charge the tri-colored LED will turn “GREEN”. When the battery becomes fully charged the green tri-colored LED will extinguish.

The Klypse Zip does have pass-through so you can vape while it’s being charged.
Charging time from full discharge to fully charged will take approximately 1 hour when using a 5V/1.0A power source. I timed the charging cycle using a 1.0A source to determine the length of time it took for the tri-colored to change color as follows:
- Red – Green = 48 minutes
- Green – LED extinguished = A further 20 minutes
- Total charging time = 68 minutes
While the Klypse Zip is on charge, it does get slightly warm to the touch but I would still recommend to ONLY charge the device on a non-flammable surface.
As with any vape device, NEVER leave it unattended whilst charging.

Innokin Klypse Zip Pod Kit Summary

The Innokin Klypse Zip pod kit is a well built device, looks impressive and feels comfortable and tactile in the hand. Its 650mAh internal battery is a good sized capacity considering its tiny size and does last a long time (10hrs) between charges. Flavor and vapor was also very good.
The 1.2 ohm pod is very good in terms of flavor, vapor and longevity. We previously tested and reviewed the 0.8 ohm pod and that was equally as good. Now Innokin have released the Klypse C1 pre-filled pods the options are even greater.

Because of its simplicity and how easy it is to use, the Klypse Zip pod kit is aimed more at new users. Saying this, because of the great performance, seasoned vapers would be equally at home with this kit. It’s perfect for taking out and about because of its very light weight.
The MTL style vape with its auto-draw was also faultless. Because of the trusted brand name of Innokin, coupled with the known quality of their products, I have no problem in recommending this kit.
