Welcome to our latest disposable vape review! This week we’ve got the feature-packed Lightrise TB 18K under the microscope; the brand new disposable from the popular ‘Lost Vape’ brand.
We’ve reviewed several Lost Vape disposables in the past, most recently the Lost Vape Orion Bar 10000 and the Lost Vape OB5500 – both fantastic disposables we highly recommend.
The team over at Lost Vape consistently impress with the quality and performance of their disposable vape devices and we had high expectations for the Lightrise TB 18K.
In a nutshell, the Lightrise TB 18K is a multi-day disposable with 18ml of e-juice, a 700mAh rechargeable battery, a large touch-screen LED display and a whopping 18,000 puffs!
Even more impressive, Lost Vape have included two of my favorite features on a disposable; fully adjustable airflow (allowing for mouth-to-lung and restricted-direct-to-lung vaping!) and a boost feature to crank up the performance!
Unlike other disposables on the market, the Lightrise TB 18K actually has three different settings; regular, boost and turbo. We’ll talk more about the boost mode later, but for now I’ll say the turbo feature packs a serious punch!
It’s available in a 50mg/ml nicotine strength which makes it ideal if you’re hoping to use it to replace a heavy smoking habit. Just a word of warning though, as a non TPD compliant disposable you won’t be able to buy the Lightrise TB 18K in the UK or EU.
Anyway, let’s do a deep dive and get stuck into the full Lightrise TB 18K disposable review!

What’s in the Box?
Feel free to skip to the next section(s) if you’d rather get straight to the design and performance. We like to cover every aspect of the disposable, so I’ll talk briefly about the packaging design and contents here.
Lost Vape were kind enough to send us a nifty little gift box with six of the Lightrise TB 18K disposable flavors to review. I don’t know if these display/gift boxes will be available to buy but it’s a nice touch nonetheless.
The actual disposable packaging is bright, bold and colorful. On the front you’ll find a picture of the Lightrise TB 18K, the total number of puffs, icons displaying the touch screen and LED display, and the usual nicotine warning.
On one side of the packaging you’ll notice more icons indicating various features, including the e-juice capacity, adjustable airflow and total number of puffs.
On the other side there’s a picture of the LED display and a set of instructions explaining how to use the disposable, including the variable wattage settings (boost & turbo mode).
Finally, on the back of the packaging you’ll find heaps of product and nicotine warnings, a list of ingredients, the nicotine strength, e-juice capacity and total number of puffs.
The Lightrise TK 18K disposable itself is sealed inside a plastic wrapper within the outer packaging – just tear it open and the disposable should slip easily out.
Before you take your first puff, you’ll need to remove the silicone plug from the mouthpiece of the disposable.
There’s also a protective film covering the LED display, which you’ll need to peel off. This film is printed with icons showing what you can expect to see on the LED display when you turn the disposable on and take a puff.
Lost Vape have done a fantastic job with the packaging design. All the information you’re likely to need (and more!) is clearly displayed and I love the attention to detail and care that they’ve put into it, evident by the instructions on the side of the packaging and the LED display screen film above!
Lightrise TB 18K | Design & Appearance
In terms of design and appearance, what struck me right out of the box was how impressively compact the Lightrise TB 18K is. With measurements of 85mm in height, 52mm in width and 30mm in depth, it’s a surprisingly small disposable. Especially considering it holds 18ml of e-juice and a 700mAh battery!
It’s also incredibly lightweight, weighing in at only 80g. Perfect if you’re looking for a convenient disposable that you can carry with you on the go and forget about until you need a puff. I always carry a spare with me and they were barely noticeable in my pocket.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of the larger disposables like the NEXA N20000 or the MASKKING Apex 8000 but there’s definitely something to be said for the smaller, lightweight disposables if you’re constantly on the move and don’t want to be weighed down with a clunkier device.
Aesthetically, the Lightrise TB 18K is equally impressive. It’s a box-mod style design, made entirely from Polycarbonate, with a bright (almost reflective) gradient color scheme that’s color-coded to match the flavor you’re vaping.
Branding is sleek and minimal, with the disposable name, flavor profile and “Powered by Lost Vape” in small white lettering on the front of the device. It’s not a discreet disposable necessarily, but it’s not overly bold or cartoonish either, striking just the right balance.
The LED display screen runs the full height of the disposable on the right-facing side of the Lightrise TB 18K and it’s by far the best display screen I’ve seen on a disposable! The display is bright, colorful and easy to read, with the current boost mode setting, battery level and remaining e-juice clearly displayed.
There’s even a quirky little animation each time you take a puff!
At the top of the LED display screen is a fingerprint icon, which you gently press to adjust through the three vaping modes; regular, boost and turbo. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a disposable with touch-screen capabilities and it’s these little extra quirks that really set the Lightrise TB 18K apart!
Grip and comfort are absolutely spot on, thanks to the slightly curved edging and the diagonal indents on either side of the disposable. It’s arguable whether these were placed there with that in mind or simply for aesthetic value, but they definitely seem to help.
The only potential negative in terms of design would probably lie in the durability, which I’d say is about average for a disposable. It doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap exactly, but the body of the disposable is covered in a thin Polycarbonate shell, and the device is so lightweight that I don’t know if it would withstand any significant pressure.
At the bottom of the Lightrise TB 18K you’ll find a solid, black, plastic base with the Type-C USB charging port and the adjustable airflow slider.
Charging is quick and easy; just plug a charging cable into the port and connect it to a suitable outlet. It takes about an hour to fully charge and the LED display will indicate the current battery level/charge. Lost Vape didn’t include pass-through vaping unfortunately, so you won’t be able to vape the Lightrise TB 18K while it’s on charge.
It’s worth mentioning as well, the LED display won’t ever display 100% while charging. For some odd reason, 99% is the highest figure you’ll see on the LED display and indicates a full charge.
The airflow slider however, is excellent. It’s fully adjustable, allowing anything from a tight, MTL (mouth-to-lung) draw to a surprisingly airy RDTL (restricted-direct-to-lung) if that’s your cup of tea. I prefer somewhere in the middle of the range; a restrictive MTL draw but not too tight.
Last but not least, the mouthpiece at the top of the Lightrise TB 18K is super comfortable to vape on. It’s a duck-billed design, made from clear Polycarbonate and protrudes approximately 16mm.
Overall, I think Lost Vape have done a fantastic job with the Lightrise TB 18K disposable! It looks absolutely amazing, it’s compact and lightweight and the LED display screen with touch-screen capability is unique and well-designed!
Lightrise TB 18K | Performance
Let’s cover the really important bit first, which for most of us is lifespan and battery life. Nobody wants to buy a disposable (at any price!) expecting it to last a certain number of puffs only to find it’s not performing as advertised.
All credit to Lost Vape, they’ve been as clear as possible on this issue. They state on their website that the Lightrise TB 18K disposable will last up to 18,000 puffs in regular mode, 12,000 in boost mode and 6,000 in turbo mode. I don’t want to labor this point too much, but I love the fact they’ve clearly explained how long the Lightrise TB 18K disposable should last depending on the vaping mode you’re using.
This is often not the case unfortunately. We’ve used plenty of disposables over the years that feature some sort of boost mode, with no idea how it affects the expected number of puffs. Frustrating to say the least.
Lost Vape actually sent us six of the Lightrise TB 18K disposables to review, so I thought the best way to get an accurate number of puffs was to vape two of them in regular mode exclusively, two in boost mode and two in turbo mode!
The two I vaped in regular mode provided 16,373 and 16,611 puffs respectively, slightly less than the stated 18,000 puffs.
The two I vaped in boost mode provided 11,691 and 11,584 puffs respectively, almost exactly within the stated range.
The two I vaped in turbo mode provided 6,102 and 6,209 puffs, actually exceeding the stated puff total!
Now keep in mind, the above puff totals might not be exact. I did my best to count every puff I took (and even used a manual click counter!) but I would say it’s best if we give or take 50 puffs against each of the totals just to be sure.
Interestingly then, the puff totals advertised by Lost Vape seem to be pretty accurate!
Surprisingly, my puff totals were closer to the expected number of puffs in the turbo mode compared to the other modes. If I had to make an educated guess, I’d say this is probably because my puff duration is significantly shorter in turbo mode and must be more in synch with the puff duration Lost Vape use when testing their disposable puff capacity.
In terms of absolute longevity for me personally, the above puff totals translate to approximately 25 days of vaping in regular mode, 17 days of vaping in boost mode and 9 days of vaping in turbo mode! Just keep in mind I tend to vape pretty heavily throughout the day, with around 650 puffs daily.
If you’re a casual or infrequent vaper, the Lightrise TB 18K could last you significantly longer. At the extreme end for example, if you take only 200 puffs a day and vape exclusively in regular mode, each disposable could last you up to 83 days!
Battery life is also impressive (but again dependent on which mode you vape in). I’ve been less strict with recording my battery depletion times, but I’ve been getting at least a day of heavy vaping before the Lightrise TB 18K needs to be recharged.
Equally as important as the longevity, the vapor production and flavor are both amazing. Each puff produces a plume of white, fluffy vapor and the flavor is powerful, dense and complex. Obviously boost mode and turbo mode provide a serious crank in both vapor and flavor, but they’re incredibly impressive for a disposable across the board.
I feel like I should spend some extra time talking about the flavor specifically. Lost Vape disposables are always excellent in the flavor department, but I was still surprised at the flavor produced by the Lightrise TB 18K disposable! They’ve absolutely perfected their e-juice recipes and each disposable they sent us was bursting with delicious flavor!
Throat hit and nicotine delivery are also perfect for me personally, with a decently satisfying kick from each and every puff. With 50mg nicotine salt, this is generally to be expected but it’s worth noting nonetheless.
I mentioned it previously but the large LED display screen is also absolutely superb! The images may not do it justice, but it’s so clear and well-designed compared to the usual display screens you see on disposable devices, and it’s bright enough that everything is clear and easy to read. It’s a personal preference thing for sure, but it’s definitely the best LED display screen I’ve seen on a disposable to date!
The touch screen, boost mode fingerprint is also a nice touch and worked flawlessly across all six of the disposables Lost Vape sent us.
While we’re on the subject of the boost mode, I know we’ve covered it fairly extensively throughout the review already, but it’s also a significant improvement over the ‘standard’ boost mode feature available on other disposables. Being able to cycle through three different wattage modes is a fantastic idea, and the turbo mode really dials the performance up to 11!
Last but not least, let’s talk about the adjustable airflow. I prefer a pretty tight, restrictive MTL vape personally, but the airflow slider on the base of the Lightrise TB 18K is fully adjustable and allows you to vape anything from RDTL to tight MTL. It’s a pretty standard feature on most of the multi-day disposables devices now but it’s great to see it included here.
It’s really hard to find a single fault with the performance of the Lightrise TB 18K disposable. If I’m trying hard to find something to be critical about, it would have to be the lack of pass-through vaping, but unless you chain vape that won’t really be an issue. The vapor production, throat hit and airflow are all excellent and the flavor output and overall longevity are simply amazing.
Lightrise TB 18K | Flavors
The Lightrise TB 18K is currently available in 15 different delicious flavors. Well, I assume they’re all delicious based on the flavors in the range I’ve tried!

It’s a pretty varied flavor range with plenty of fruity-based flavors, a couple of icy menthol flavors and even a dessert-based option! The only flavor ‘missing’ from the range in my opinion is a tobacco blend, but unfortunately that’s pretty common with disposables, especially the higher nicotine strength devices.
Of the six disposables Lost Vape sent us, two were actually the same flavor; Blue Cotton Candy. Luckily (for me) it’s my favorite flavor of the lot!
I’ll do my best to describe all the flavors we tried below:
Blue Mint
The Blue Mint flavor is a mouth-watering blend of sweet, crisp blueberry and refreshing, icy menthol.
It’s a deliciously cool, refreshing vape – perfect for the warmer weather.
The blueberry note is ripe and authentic, while the menthol is perfectly balanced without being overpowering.
Duo Black Ice
The Duo Black Ice flavor is a delicious mix of dark, ripe blackcurrant and strong menthol.
This one isn’t for the faint hearted!
The sweet, dark blackcurrant and powerful icy kick make for a really unique combination and it’s a flavor I’d happily vape all day!
Grape Burst
The Grape Burst flavor is exactly what you’d expect; a burst of juicy, sweet grapes!
This was probably my least favorite of the five we tried, purely as I’m not a fan of grape flavored e-juice.
However, the grape is super authentic and if you like grape e-juice you’ll be sure to love this.
Peach Lemonade
The Peach Lemonade flavor is a mouth-watering blend of sharp, tangy lemonade and juicy, ripe peaches!
Absolutely delicious and I found this one hard to put down!
Definitely an all-day vape worthy flavor.
Blue Cotton Candy
The Blue Cotton Candy is a divine combination of sweet, sugary cotton candy (candy floss for those in the UK!) and ripe, sharp blueberry!
This was hands down my favorite flavor!
Despite having two of these in the gift box Lost Vape sent us, I was genuinely disappointed when they ran out!
Overall, the flavors were all well-blended, complex and bursting with flavor! Lost Vape just seem to have a penchant for crafting expertly blended recipes that really shine! Even the Grape Burst flavor, which was my least favorite of the five we reviewed, was still a flavor I could comfortably vape all day!
Lightrise TB 18K | Price
At the time of writing, the Lost Vape Lightrise TB 18K disposable is available online for around $15, which is phenomenal value for money considering the quality and performance Lost Vape have packed into this disposable!
I would have expected it to retail for over $20 so if you can pick it up for anything under that, you’re getting a great deal! It’s also worth shopping around as you may be able to find it cheaper if you buy more than a single disposable at a time.

If it’s not obvious already, I really like the Lost Vape Lightrise TB 18K disposable!
The throat hit and nicotine delivery are satisfying, the vapor production and flavor output are seriously impressive and I’m consistently getting excellent longevity and battery life – what’s not to like?!
Throw adjustable airflow, the choice of boost mode or turbo mode, and the best damn LED display screen we’ve ever seen on this type of device into the mix, and you’ve got a disposable I can’t recommend enough!
If I’m being particularly critical, I’d love to see pass-through vaping and a 20mg nicotine strength option introduced, but these are both extremely minor points considering Lost Vape have got everything else absolutely spot on!

I bought 4 and they all puff on first go, all full of power all light up, I adjust all of them and nothing happens. Big puffs nothing. Nothing is blocked not dirty. Right out of the packs all 4.
Hi Cole, Its sounds like the Lightrise TB 18K’s could possible have gone into locked mode which is why after you’ve adjusted them they are no longer working. To lock/Unlock the Lightrise TB 18K press and hold the Touch button for 2 seconds and it will toggle between Lock and Unlock. Hope this helps.

Hi Begonia, I’ve translated your comment so I understand what your asking. It sounds like the draw activation sensor on your Lightrise TB 18K is not working. Try opening the airflow by adjusting the slider and take a couple of big draws to see if the display illuminates and you get vapor/flavor. It’s possible the sensor is blocked and hopefully large draws may clear it. You could always try tapping the device on a hard surface to see if this clears the sensor.
I bought a batch of 10 vaporizers, and when I tried two banana cake flavored ones, both had issues. After the first puff, they stopped producing vapor. Although I managed to fix it by blowing into the bottom hole, they started to overheat the liquid continuously, making a hissing sound intermittently but continuously until the battery ran out.
It’s worth mentioning that I verified the authenticity of both using the 16-digit code on the website.
Hi Palma, I wonder if you’ve damaged the draw activation sensor by blowing into the device. It sounds like its continuing to fire. Hopefully the other 8 devices you have all work fine.

To lock/Unlock the Lightrise TB 18K press and hold the Touch button for 2 seconds and it will toggle between Lock and Unlock.
Just bought one today, opened it up and took one hit, it immediately started flashing like crazy with a popping/crackling sound. Now the touch screen still works let’s me change the settings and lock it but when I hit it, it doesn’t light up at all and no vapor.
Having received a few comments regarding this device not working correctly, I’m beginning to think that there are clone devices that are being sold. I say this because we’ve reviewed and purchased several of these devices and each one has worked as specified. While it’s possible you’ve just been unlucky and received a dud one, I would always purchase from a reputable supplier and check the authentication sticker to make sure its genuine.
I am having the same experience… does anyone feel like they are getting played X-p. I hate feeling like I need something to begin with that I know I don’t but on top of that paying for it and getting nothing. WTF!!!
Lightrise 18k Watermelon Ice. Took a chance buying this brand for first time and I got what I thought was a great deal on a few of them. Started looking it over when I got home, trying to find out why it was not working too good, or at least what would be expected from a vape. It takes a really hard draw to get ANY thing out of it and there is hardly no flavor, just a a nasty taste pretty much. All 3 of them are not properly working units and have run on issues that they take too long to stop running after taking a draw. Now I am stuck with 3 vapes that have the most horrible after taste I ever tasted and I am now scared I damaged my lungs by smoking whatever is in the unit and made an appointment with a pulmonologist in two weeks, who will take some imaging and see whats up. Hi Karen, I would question the authenticity of the devices you bought and strongly recommend to only purchase disposable vapes from a reputable supplier. It sounds like the devices you’ve purchased don’t have any e-juice in them or the coils are faulty. We have used several of the Lightrise TB 18K devices and each of them have performed as expected and as we specified in our review.
Vaping on a device with no e-liquid in it or that has a burnt coil will cause a horrible taste and harshness in the throat and should NOT be vaped.
Bought my first one ever. And only because Geek Bar wasn’t available 🙁 Seems like I got ripped off. No matter what setting I put it on (1, 2, or 3) it just doesn’t hit. I can get a little flavor but no vapor whatsoever. I hear crackling when I am hitting, but that’s it. Wish I could get my money back. Will not be buying again!
Hi Sarah, have you tried adjusting the airflow? It is possible you’ve been unlucky and bought a dud one. Unfortunately this does happen every now and again with any make of disposable.

Can you give us a little more info so we can help you better? Does the display illuminate? Does it have any charge in the battery? Can you switch between the different modes? Hopefully its yes to these things. If so, have you tried closing the airflow and drawing on the mouthpiece a few times as the auto draw sensor may be slightly blocked. Please come back to us so we can try and help.

Something is not right because the one’s we’ve tried provided great taste and loads of vapor irrespective if it was set in regular, boost or turbo mode. The grate as you say is the airflow slider. I would open the slider to allow maximum airflow, take a big draw and see if it works correctly and you get lots of vapor.

How to find out the manufacturing date of light rise 18k puffs
Hi Darrell,
Most disposables have this written on the outside packaging but from memory I don’t remember seeing a manufacturing or use by date stamped on the packaging. It’s usually printed in faint lettering and in most cases have a two year lifespan. Its possible they may have put it on the clear sealed foil around the Lightrise TB 18K. Unfortunately we can’t verify this as all our packaging was disposed of. Hope this helps.
