Bonjour and welcome to our latest disposable vape review! Today we’ve got the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K under the microscope; the latest disposable from the extremely popular vape giant Lost Vape.

The team over at Lost Vape are possibly the hardest working folks in the vape industry, with a huge range of products on the market. High powered vaping mods, tanks for every occasion, best-selling pod kits and a fantastic disposable vape product line.

It’s the disposable range we’re diving into today, with the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K the latest in a long line of absolutely outstanding disposable devices. We’ve been fortunate enough to review several of these disposables over the years; the Lost Vape Movement LV 18K and Lost Vape Lightrise TB 18K were the last two I had my grubby hands on personally and both are still in my top 10 list!

However, the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K disposable is actually part of the popular Orion Bar range of disposable vapes. In fact it’s the long awaited successor to the Orion Bar 10k disposable released back in 2023.

But that’s enough history. Let’s talk about what makes the Orion Bar 50K disposable stand out, what upgrades Lost Vape have made (if any) and whether it’s worth using as your daily vape!

First of all it’s packed full of features, including a 360° galaxy-inspired screen, adjustable nicotine, adjustable ‘ice’ and a mammoth 920mAh rechargeable battery. A sleek display lets you see exactly how much e-juice and/or battery you have remaining, it holds a huge 28ml of e-juice and it’s marketed as providing up to 50,000 puffs!

Available in a 50mg/ml nicotine strength, it’s perfect if you’re looking to ditch a heavy smoking habit. As if that isn’t enough to get you salivating, the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K is also available in a range of 15 delicious flavors.

But that’s enough of me rambling, let’s get stuck into the full Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K disposable review!

The Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K disposable packaging is eye-catching, bold and bursting with color. Front and center, you’ll find a picture of the Orion Bar 50K disposable, a list of product features, the flavor name and the usual nicotine warning.

On the left-facing side there’s a manufacturer address, a QC code to scan to explore the full range of flavors and another list of product features.

The right-facing side is covered in instructions explaining how to operate the adjustable nicotine switch and adjustable ice button.

Finally, on the back of the packaging there’s a heap of extra product and nicotine warnings, a full ingredients list and more product features.

Inside the packaging, the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K disposable is sealed inside a clear plastic wrapper. Just tear open the wrapper and the disposable will slide out.

Before you can vape though, you’ll need to remove the silicone plug from the mouthpiece of the Orion Bar 50K, the protective sticker on the base and the plastic wraparound protecting the screen.

That’s it, you’re all set to take your first puff!

Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K | Design & Appearance

Let’s take a detailed look at the design and appearance of the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K disposable.

There’s very little I didn’t like, so we’ll start there and get it out of the way. My only real gripe (albeit a fairly minor one) is the lack of pass-through vaping. I know it’s not the end of the world, but I’m usually pretty busy throughout the day and I like being able to take a couple of quick puffs while my disposable is charging.

Pass-through vaping used to be a staple feature on most disposables, but the last dozen or so we’ve reviewed were missing this feature and I think it’s a big shame it wasn’t included on the Orion Bar 50K.

The lack of pass-through vaping aside, I really struggled to find anything about this disposable I didn’t love! It’s hard to get excited about a disposable release in such a heavily saturated industry, but the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K disposable is damn near perfect for me personally, both in terms of design and performance (more on this later!).

First things first, the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K is a big disposable. Measuring in at 97mm in height, 59mm in width and 25mm in depth, it’s not the biggest disposable we’ve reviewed but it’s certainly not what I’d consider compact or discreet either.

It also weighs in at 98g which is fairly heavy for a disposable vape. Now I know some of you aren’t keen on the larger, heavier disposables so arguably this could be considered a negative. Full disclosure though, I’m a big fan of the larger style disposables and the Orion Bar 50K is absolutely spot on in that regard!

With that being said, even with its larger than average dimensions, the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K remains surprisingly comfortable to hold and doesn’t feel too bulky to carry around with you while you’re on the move.

Quick note: If you’re specifically looking for a compact, lightweight disposable you may want to take a look at the Lost Vape Lightrise TB18K or the Lost Vape Movement LV18K instead!

In terms of aesthetics, the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K is a thing of beauty. As you can see from the pictures, it’s a box-mod style design, rectangular in shape and made entirely from Polycarbonate. It’s jet black in color but every time you take a puff or adjust the nicotine/ice level the entire disposable comes to life!

It’s like having a tiny universe on the screen of your vape and reminds me of the marbel from the Men In Black film with Will Smith years ago. Almost the entire vape (with the exception of the mouthpiece and the base of the disposable) erupts into color and pulsates with stars, planets and galaxies every time you take a puff or adjust the settings.

It’s the first disposable I’ve ever seen with a 360° wraparound screen and it really sets the Orion Bar 50K apart from the other devices available on the market. The animation design is so impressive I actually found myself taking a puff just to look at it!

Branding is minimal, with just the disposable name and flavor printed on the device. Both are clearly displayed in silver lettering on either side of the Orion Bar 50K just above the base.

I prefer this minamalistic approach to branding; less is always more and in this case it gives the disposable a sleek, modern aesthetic. Too many of the disposables you see on the market today are covered in cartoon images or enormous, colorful patterns so it makes a nice change.

Running along one side of the Orion Bar 50K disposable is the e-juice and battery display screen. Again the display lights up each time you take a puff or adjust anything, and it’s bright, clear and easy to read even in bright sunlight.

The duck-billed style mouthpiece at the top of the disposable is smooth and comfortable to vape on, which is fairly standard for a disposable in this price bracket (more on price a bit later).

At the opposite end of the Orion Bar 50K disposable, the base is solid plastic that houses the Type-C USB charging port, the adjustable nicotine slider and the adjustable ice button. Let’s tackle those in order…

Charging is easy, just plug a USB cable into the charging port and connect the other end to a suitable outlet. Charging only takes about an hour, which really surprised me considering the mammoth 920mAh battery! The screen will display the current battery level so you know when the disposable is fully charged and as mentioned previously, pass-through vaping isn’t supported so you can’t puff while charging.

The adjustable nicotine slider has three options; device off, low nicotine and high nicotine and essentially acts as a performance boost. The Lost Vape website doesn’t specifically state what changes internally when you switch to the high nicotine position, but you can certainly feel the difference! When switched to the low position, a yellow nicotine label with a single flame icon shows on the display each time you take a puff. In contrast, when you switch the nicotine slider to the high nicotine position, the display will show the same label design but in orange with two flame icons.

Switching the slider to the device off position effectively turns the disposable off, which means you won’t be able to take a puff.

The adjustable ice button works in a similar way; either on or off. Clicking the button to turn the ice on will display a blue snowflake on the screen and you get a strong blast of menthol on the inhale. This is a really innovative feature and again it’s not something you often see on a disposable!

In terms of the battery and e-juice levels, the display will cycle from e-juice to battery for approximately two seconds each time you take a puff. The e-juice icon is a liquid drop and the battery icon is a lightning bolt, with the specific percentage displayed underneath each icon in 1% increments.

Overall I think Lost Vape have done an absolutely fantastic job with the design and appearance of the Orion Bar 50K! It looks amazing (especially with the 360° screen lit up!) and it’s jam-packed full of features!

Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K | Performance

I’ve already hinted as much, but the performance the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K kicks out is also fantastic!

Let’s talk about the basics first; ramp-up speed, nicotine delivery and throat hit are all perfect. Every puff delivers a satisfying and consistent hit, with a decent kick to the back of your throat. The auto-draw also works flawlessly, with no false hits, dry hits or misfiring in sight.

The included features all perform exactly as you’d expect, with the adjustable nicotine and ice ‘boost’ producing a significant effect on the vaping experience. I found my sweet spot was actually in the low nicotine position with the ice turned off, but each to their own.

Pressing the ice button delivers a blast of icy menthol on the inhale, while the high nicotine option provides a noticeable boost in nicotine delivery and throat hit. You’ll have to experiment to see what vaping settings suit your preference!

Flavor is absolutely phenomenal, but to be honest I expected nothing less from a Lost Vape disposable! Of the three Orion Bar 50K disposables I tested, each was bursting with delicious flavor. I’ve said this before, but Lost Vape e-juice is just a step ahead of the competition in terms of flavor and it never fails to disappoint!

Vapor production is also impressive for a disposable and far exceeded my expectations. Each puff produced a surprisingly thick plume of the fluffy white stuff, and while you won’t fill a room it’s certainly well above the smoke you’d exhale from a cigarette.

Battery life is excellent, with the 920mAh capacity cell easily providing two days of heavy vaping before it needed to be re-charged. I’m still a little sour about the lack of pass-through vaping (if included this disposable would be perfect!) but with a charging time of only 1 hour I can’t complain too much.

Overall longevity is where the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K disposable really comes into its own though! It’s marketed as providing up to 50,000 puffs, and while I didn’t actually count the exact number of puffs I took, the Orion Bar 50K disposables I tested lasted me between 29 – 32 days of vaping!

This kind of longevity is absolutely incredible, especially considering how frequently I vape throughout the day. I hate to classify myself as a chain-vaper, but I’m probably not far off it. A light or casual vaper could expect to get even longer out of a single Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K disposable!

It’s worth keeping in mind that the number of puffs you’ll get out of any disposable depends on a number of factors, including draw duration and how frequently you take a puff.

Overall, it’s really hard to find a fault with the Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K disposable! I’ve tested dozens, if not hundreds of disposable vape devices over the last few years, and very few impressed me across the board as much as this did!

Yes I’d love for Lost Vape to have included pass-through vaping, but everything else is absolutely spot on. Flavor, vapor production, battery life, longevity, design and aesthetics. I could go on and on. Hats off to Lost Vape, the Orion Bar 50K is one of the best disposables I’ve had the pleasure of testing.

It’s a pretty decent flavor range, with a few unique blends thrown in for good measure. I’d love to see a tobacco blend available in the future, but I definitely want to try the Orange Cake and Fruity Nectar flavors!

Lost Vape sent us three flavors to test, so I’ll do my best to describe each;

Cool Mint

The Cool Mint flavor is exactly what you’d expect; a cool, refreshing mint flavor note. Essentially it’s chewing gum in a vape, it’s as simple as that.

I’m not usually a fan of mint/menthol flavor e-juice but this one is perfectly balanced. It’s not overpowering, especially with the ice boost switched off.

Ideal as a palette cleanser in between the heavier flavors, or if you smoke menthol cigarettes and want to recapture the feeling.

Blue Razz Ice

Sharp, ripe blueberry and deliciously sweet raspberry, this is arguably the most popular flavor profile produced by disposable manufactures and it’s easy to see why.

The sharp, almost tarte blueberry and sugary raspberry compliment each other perfectly and it’s a flavor I could happily vape all day!

Switch the ice boost on and this flavor is really elevated to the next level!

Watermelon Ice

Authentic ripe watermelon and a blast of icy cool menthol, this one is another absolutely delicious flavor!

Perfect for the warmer weather, especially with the ice boost switched on.

I’m a big fan of watermelon as a flavor note in e-juice and Lost Vape have nailed this recipe!

Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K | Price

The Lost Vape Orion Bar 50K disposable is currently available online for around $18, which is fantastic for a device of this build quality and design, with outstanding performance to boot!

$18 for a full month of heavy vaping is phenomenal value for money and far cheaper than the equivalent cost of smoking, or even non-rechargeable disposables which typically only last a single day (at least for me!).

I always try to advocate not using a disposable as your only vaping device, specifically because the cost can quickly mount up. However at $18 for this kind of vaping experience, it’s becoming harder not to recommend disposables as a perfect (and affordable!) alternative to smoking!
