Today we’re reviewing the Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable vape, the exciting new release from the innovative team at Puffmi.
Puffmi have gathered quite a following since their launch in 2021, cementing themselves as a major player in the disposable vape market with the release of several fantastic disposables.
We reviewed their Puffmi C800 earlier this year, and to say we were impressed would be an understatement.
As you can imagine, when they asked us to review the Puffmi Dura 9000 – their biggest, boldest disposable to date – we didn’t need much convincing!
In a nutshell, the Puffmi Dura 9000 is a multi-day, rechargeable disposable with a massive 20ml of e-juice, a 650mAh internal battery and a huge 9000 puff capacity.
Yes you read that right – 9000 puffs, making the Puffmi Dura 9000 easily one of the longest-lasting disposables on the market! According to this study, 50% of vapers take fewer than 236 puffs per day, which means the Puffmi Dura 9000 could last you a mind-blowing 38 days!
The flavor range is large and diverse, with a total of 24 mouth-watering flavors to choose from and several unusual and interesting flavor blends.
The Puffmi Dura 9000 is also available in either 20mg or 50mg nicotine strength, unlike many of the other multi-day disposables on the market, many of which are only available in the higher 50mg nicotine strength.
As if all that isn’t enough to get excited about, the Puffmi Dura 9000 is also one of the very first disposables to feature a display, indicating how much battery and/or e-juice is remaining!
If you can’t tell already, I freaking love this disposable.
But enough of me waffling on – let’s get stuck into the full Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable review!

What’s in the Box?
First and foremost, I want to say a quick thank you to Puffmi. Not only did they send us four of the Dura 9000 disposables to review, they also sent a 3-in-1 telescopic USB charging cable and a nifty little keychain!
As you’d expect, the charging cable allows you to charge 3 different devices via USB at the same time – Micro / Lightning / Type-C are the three charging methods supported.
I don’t know if this is something that Puffmi will make available to buy from their website but I assume so! Either way it’s a nice touch and I’ll definitely be putting it to good use!
In terms of the actual Puffmi Dura 9000 packaging, it will all be pretty familiar if you’ve ever bought a disposable before.
The Puffmi Dura 9000 comes packaged in a small box (slightly larger than a pack of super-king cigarettes) made out of thin card, with printed product information, ingredients and the usual nicotine warnings.
As you can see in the pictures, the front of the box displays the Puffmi logo, the disposable name and a picture of the Dura 9000. The flavor name, number of puffs, nicotine strength and battery capacity are also displayed, as well as the usual nicotine warning covering the bottom 1/3 of the box.
On the right-facing side you’ll see the manufacture date, expiry date and disposable name. There’s also a QR code that you can scan to confirm the Puffmi Dura 9000 you’re holding is authentic. I’ll be honest, I don’t usually check these QR codes but it’s nice to see it included nonetheless.
Flip the box over to the left-facing side and you’ll see a group of icons and another warning. I won’t pretend I know what every icon means but I’m pretty sure you can’t vape while pregnant, or apparently if you identify as a wheelie bin …
On the back of the packaging, the e-liquid capacity, nicotine strength, battery capacity and e-juice ingredients are all printed. You’ll also notice the manufacturer address, website URL and contact details are displayed, as well as another long list of warnings.
Inside the box is a sealed, foil wrapper protecting the Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable.
Just tear open the foil pouch and the Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable should slide right out.
The disposable comes pre-charged and ready to vape. All you have to do is remove the silicone plug from the mouthpiece of the disposable …
… and the protective sticker covering the airflow at the base of the Dura 9000.
And that’s all there is to it – you’re all set to vape!
Overall I think Puffmi have done a great job with the packaging – it’s well designed, aesthetically pleasing and all the information you need is printed clearly on the box. I also love the fact Puffmi have gone with a shiny, reflective coating on the box rather than the usual color-scheme we often see with other disposables.
I do have a small issue though and that’s the fact there’s no indication of the PG/VG ratio on the packaging. It’s not a major problem but it would be super helpful to know how much PG is used in the e-juice, especially if you suffer from any form of PG Intolerance like I do.
Puffmi Dura 9000 | Design and Appearance
In terms of design, the Puffmi Dura 9000 is one of only a very small handful of multi-day disposables that feature any sort of display.
Most of the disposables we’ve reviewed in the past are designed with the standard LED puff indicator, which will light up when you take a puff or flash while it’s on charge.
In contrast, the Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable doesn’t have this LED puff indicator – instead Puffmi have included a built-in display that shows you how much e-juice and/or battery you have left.
While this sounds like a relatively minor upgrade over the standard disposable design, in reality it makes a huge difference …
Regardless of the disposable you’re using, unless you’re counting puffs you have no way of knowing when you’re about to run out of battery or e-juice.
I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve left the house with a disposable, only for the LED to flash half a mile down the road to tell me it’s out of battery!
It’s frustrating to say the least!
With the Puffmi Dura 9000 however, the display lights up every time you take a puff to let you know in 1/4 increments how much e-juice and battery you have left.
The display also lights up when you’re charging the Puffmi Dura 9000 – the battery icon flashes until it’s fully charged, at which point all 4 dots will be lit, indicating a full charge. The display will also remain lit until you unplug the charging cable.
I won’t linger on this point any longer, but suffice it to say the inclusion of the display was an absolute game-changer for me and definitely elevates the Dura 9000 above the other multi-day disposables on the market.
Now that I’ve waxed lyrical about the display (can you tell I like it?…) let’s talk about the actual appearance of the Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable.
The Dura 9000 is rectangular in shape with curved edges, almost resembling a small box-mod.
Like the majority of the multi-day disposables on the market, it’s a surprisingly compact device, especially considering it holds a whopping 20ml of e-juice!
Measuring 88mm in height (from the tip of the mouthpiece) by 54mm in width and 21mm in depth, the Dura 9000 is extremely comfortable to hold and small enough to fit easily in your pocket.
It’s also relatively lightweight, weighing in at 71.25g.
Yet despite this compact and lightweight design, the Puffmi Dura 9000 is impressively sturdy, well-built and resilient. I’m a clumsy oaf and I managed to drop each of mine several times, with no noticeable damage or loss of performance.
Puffmi don’t list the materials they used in the design of the Dura 9000 but I’d hazard a guess at plastic.
The main body of the disposable is a hard, slightly textured plastic while the base, both sides and mouthpiece section feel like a smooth Polycarbonate.
Aesthetically speaking, the Puffmi Dura 9000 is a great looking disposable. It’s bright and bold, without being overtly cartoonish or childish.
I don’t know if the pictures do it justice, but the body of the Dura 9000 has a somewhat reflective, glossy finish with waves that radiate out from the display in the bottom right-hand corner of the disposable.
In terms of color scheme, each of the four Puffmi Dura 9000 disposables we tested came in a different color, depending on the flavor profile. Zesty Cola is a deep red, while the Grape Honeydew Melon is a bright purple and so on.
Branding is reasonably minimal, with the name and flavor printed vertically on the front of the disposable in white lettering, and the Puffmi logo in the bottom right corner on the reverse of the Dura 9000.
It’s not a subtle disposable necessarily, especially considering the bright colors, so keep that in mind if you prefer to vape something a little more discreet.
If discreet vaping is more your cup of tea, I highly recommend the WOTOFO nexPOD – especially if you can get your hands on their pen-style vape, the nexPOD Stick!
But back to the Puffmi Dura 9000 …
The mouthpiece at the top of the Dura 9000 is smooth and comfortable to puff on, with a slightly cone-shaped design that protrudes approximately 15mm from the body of the disposable.
At the opposite end, at the base of the Puffmi Dura 9000 you’ll find the Type-C USB charging port and a single airflow hole.
Charging is quick and easy – just insert a Type-C USB charging cable into the port and connect the other end to a suitable outlet.
We’ll talk more about battery performance later, but a full charge takes about an hour with the 3-in-1 USB charging cable Puffmi sent us.
Overall I’m really impressed with the design, appearance and build-quality and I think Puffmi have done a fantastic job.
The Dura 9000 is surprisingly compact and lightweight for a multi-day disposable and the addition of the display screen is a huge improvement over other disposables in this price range!

In terms of performance, things get even better …
Let’s get the obvious out the way. The Puffmi Dura 9000 lasts absolutely ages! Full disclosure – I didn’t actually count the number of puffs each disposable lasted, but I got at least 14 days of heavy vaping before I ran out of e-juice!
Needless to say, I’d only need to buy two Puffmi Dura 9000 disposables a month! We’ll talk more about price a bit later, but suffice to say the Dura 9000 is the longest-lasting disposable we’ve tested and is likely to be fantastic value for money depending on the final retail price!
If you’re a light or casual vaper, you could easily get 3-4 weeks of vaping out of a single Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable!
In addition to the overall lifespan, a full charge of the 650mAh battery gave me between 1.5 – 2 full days of heavy vaping. Incidentally, Puffmi state a full charge is good for around 1000 puffs which is about right based on my average daily puff range.
The Puffmi Dura 9000 also features pass-through vaping, which means you can continue to vape while it’s charging.
Airflow and draw are perfect for me personally. It’s very much subjective and YMMV but I like a pretty tight, restrictive MTL (mouth-to-lung) draw and that’s exactly what you get with the Dura 9000. If you’re looking for a disposable to closely simulate the feeling of smoking a cigarette, you won’t be disappointed.
Throat hit and nicotine delivery are both equally impressive, with a decent throat kick and satisfying hit every puff. The only caveat to this statement is the fact I’m solely testing the 50mg/ml nicotine strength and obviously can’t confirm the same for the lower 20mg/ml strength.
The Puffmi Dura 9000 is auto-draw and this worked flawlessly with a quick ramp-up time as soon as you take a puff. No issues, misfiring or delayed puffs with any of the four disposables I tested.
Vapor production is about average for a disposable – you won’t be filling up the room with thick, dense vapor but it’s comparable to the smoke you’d inhale from a cigarette and will be more than enough for most people.
Flavor is incredible and well above average. The Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable is available in a total of 24 different flavors and the four I tested were all crisp, sharp and bursting with flavor.
Overall the Puffmi Dura 9000 is a really impressive disposable! The throat hit, airflow and draw are all fantastic and the flavor output is seriously next-level! When you consider the fact it’s one of the longest-lasting disposables on the market, there really is nothing not to love!
Puffmi Dura 9000 | Flavors
Like I mentioned above, the Puffmi Dura 9000 is available in 24 different flavors. The flavor range is pretty diverse and it’s great to see the inclusion of a tobacco blend and a menthol/mint flavor.
My only minor gripe is with the lack of dessert-based flavors like a custard or lemon pie recipe for example.
Having said that, I think the Special Day might be a somewhat dessert-esque flavor (more on this in a minute!) and I can’t grumble too much as they’ve included a coffee-based flavor which you don’t see all that often with disposables!
Puffmi have also contacted us to confirm they’re currently working on expanding the flavor range even further!

Puffmi were kind enough to send us the Rainbow Drop, Zesty Cola, Grape Honeydew Melon and Special Day flavors to try so I’ll do my best to describe them each below!
Zesty Cola
This one is pretty self-explanatory! Sweet, tangy cola with a fizzy pop and delicious aftertaste that lingers on the exhale!
Puffmi have absolutely perfected this blend – it tastes exactly like the premium fizzy cola bottles you get from the old-fashioned sweet shops and you can almost taste the bubbles!
Definitely an all-day vape for me and probably a top three all-time fizzy cola e-juice recipe!
Rainbow Drop
The Rainbow Drop flavor is a bit harder to pin down and I couldn’t find an official breakdown on the Puffmi website.
Probably best described as a fruit bomb, I’m picking up strawberry, citrus and tropical flavor notes in a delicious fruity medley.
As soon as you inhale this is bursting with a sweet, fruity, candy-like flavor that tastes like a mouthful of skittles!
Grape Honeydew Melon
This flavor was probably my least favorite of the four we tested, purely because I’m not a big fan of grape flavored e-juice.
To my taste-buds, grape is the dominant flavor note but you can definitely taste the sweet honeydew and juicy melon, especially on the exhale.
It’s still a flavor I can happily vape all day, although I don’t think I’d rush out to buy this one again.
Special Day
This flavor had me totally confused …
It’s delicious but I can’t figure out for the life of me what it’s supposed to be! It’s extremely sweet and I think it’s a birthday cake flavor!
Which I suppose would make sense given the name! Despite being unable to pin this flavor down, it actually ended up being my favorite of the four I tested!
Overall the flavors were all strong, complex and well-blended. Even my least favorite, the Grape Honeydew Melon, is a flavor I can easily vape all-day and I think Puffmi have absolutely nailed their flavor profiles!
Puffmi Dura 9000 | Price
The Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable hasn’t yet been officially released and so I can’t confirm the retail price at the time of writing.
As soon as it hits the market I’ll come back and update this post.
I’m hoping the final retail price will sit somewhere in the $10- $15 range but that might be optimistic considering the 20ml e-juice and 9000 puff capacity.
As always, it’s best to shop around for the best deals and buy in bulk if you can as most online retailers usually offer a discount if you’re buying more than one disposable at a time!

As you can imagine, it’s almost impossible to review a disposable (or any product really!) and find nothing negative of any significance to comment on. It’s even more unusual to find a disposable that I genuinely don’t think could be improved upon if I had a magic wand or three wishes courtesy of the vape gods.
However, that’s exactly the position I find myself in now.
If I’m feeling especially nit-picky, I’d love to see the PG/VG ratio on the packaging and maybe a couple of extra dessert-type flavors available.
But aside from these minor issues, I absolutely love the Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable. The puff capacity, longevity, battery life, flavor, throat hit, MTL draw – they’re all fantastic and it’s easily one of the best disposables I’ve ever used.
