Today we’re taking a look at the SKE Crystal Bar, a 600 puff disposable that’s rapidly growing in popularity!

Before receiving the Crystal Bar I wasn’t actually familiar with the SKE brand. Interestingly the ‘SKE’ stands for ‘Speed Skier Extreme’ – a homage to the CEO’s love of winter sports. Described as a CEO with a “…tenacious and resolute personality”, his love for adventure is clearly reflected in the beautiful yet practical design of the Crystal Bar disposable.

As a TPD compliant device, the Crystal Bar holds 2ml of e-liquid and comes available in either 20mg or 0mg nicotine strength. Featuring a 1.2ohm mesh coil and a 500mAh non-rechargeable battery, it’s rated with a capacity of 600 puffs. This results in a lightweight device that’s designed with portability and ease-of-use in mind.

What’s in the Box?

The SKE Crystal Bar comes packaged in a small cardboard box colored to match the flavor profile of the disposable inside. The box has an eye-catching design and features a ton of information about the Crystal Bar.

On the front you’ll see a small image of the device along with the puff capacity, nicotine strength, flavor name and the usual mandatory nicotine warning. On either side of the box you’ll find instructions for use, contact information for SKE and a QR Code you can scan to check the authenticity of the Crystal Bar you’ve purchased.

Finally the back of the box features a list of ingredients along with the specifications of the Crystal Bar and some handy information on recycling your disposable after use. While it’s a gripe I often have, the only information missing for me was the PG/VG ratio of the e-liquid. While not strictly needed, it is super useful for vapers that have a PG Intolerance.

Once you open the packaging you’ll find the SKE Crystal Bar contained inside a foil wrapper. Simply tear open the wrapper, remove the silicone plug from inside the mouthpiece and peel off the sticker blocking the airflow. After this you’re ready to start vaping!

Overall SKE have done an excellent job with the packaging for the Crystal Bar disposable. It’s bright, eye-catching and has just about all the information you’d need to know.

SKE Crystal Bar | Design and Appearance

In terms of appearance it’s a disposable vape with really unique aesthetics. The device has a square prism shape and a clear beveled shell, meaning the Crystal Bar literally sparkles when it catches the light! Under the clear outer shell you can see a cylindrical battery unit that’s colored to match the flavor of the e-juice inside.

As well as being pleasant to hold, the shape makes a nice change from the typical box mod or pen style device I’m used to vaping on, and really helps the Crystal Bar stand out from the crowd.

When it comes to size and weight however, it’s fairly typical of a 600 puff vape. Measuring 104mm in height and 17mm along each of the four sides, it’s comparable to other non-rechargeable disposables like the Elf Bar 600 or the Beco Beak 600. With a weight of 35g it’s also about average for a disposable with 2ml of e-juice.

Together the weight, size and shape of the Crystal Bar combine to make a disposable that’s really comfortable to hold and vape on. On top of this the weight and size make the Crystal Bar perfect for vaping on the go.

I frequently carried around all three of the Crystal Bars that were sent to me and barely even noticed them sitting in my pocket.

The majority of the body is constructed from PCTG with a small stainless steel section at the bottom of the device. It’s this small stainless steel section that houses the airflow and LED puff indicator. Whenever you draw on the Crystal Bar the LED indicator will light up in a bright white color. The indicator also flashes 10 times in quick succession when the device either runs out of battery or e-juice.

While you could be forgiven for thinking the PCTG construction results in a cheaper quality vape, the Crystal Bar feels anything but. I was lucky enough not to drop any of the samples that were sent to us but I got the impression they could take a fair amount of punishment.

In fact, when compared to other disposables like the Elf Bar 600, the Crystal Bar actually feels incredibly sturdy and robust. This is helped in part by the beveled edges and the small stainless steel section which give it a more luxury feel compared to other 600 puff disposables.

At the top end of the device the duckbill style mouthpiece is thick and protrudes 12mm from the rest of the body in a tapered design. I actually found it to be a really comfortable mouthpiece that nicely mimics the feel of drawing on a cigarette. The mouthpiece compliments the airflow nicely and results in a tight mouth-to-lung (MTL) draw (more on this later!).

As a single use device there are no buttons or adjustments to speak of. To fire the coil you simply draw on the mouthpiece and the auto-draw function kicks in. Across all three of the Crystal Bars I tested the auto-draw worked flawlessly and responded well.

In terms of branding SKE have also done a really good job. There’s a small ‘SKE’ logo near the mouthpiece followed by a larger bold print of the ‘Crystal Bar’ name. Underneath this you’ll find the flavor name followed by the puff capacity and the nicotine strength. It’s subtle branding and compliments the clear design of the body.

Overall the design and appearance of the Crystal Bar is fantastic! It’s lightweight yet sturdy, colorful and fun, all while maintaining a more luxury feel than you’d typically find with a 600 puff disposable. The airflow and MTL draw are spot on and the shape and translucent design are a breathe of fresh air!

When it comes to the performance of the Crystal Bar, I’m happy to report that things are just as positive.

One of the biggest surprises for me was the impressive vapor production. While most 600 puff disposables are capable of producing a reasonably satisfying cloud these days, the Crystal Bar goes above and beyond.

Even a short puff of a few seconds produces thick, foggy vapor clouds. This is certainly helped by the great performance of the 1.2 ohm mesh coil inside.

The coil also performed brilliantly in terms of producing smooth, flavorful hits. In fact, I didn’t experience a single dry or burnt hit across any of the three Crystal Bars I tested. Flavor and vapor production remained constant right through to the final few puffs.

This is fairly unheard of when it comes to disposables and is testament to the great design and build quality of the Crystal Bar.

Another thing I loved about it is the nice, restrictive, MTL draw. Together with the thick duckbill mouthpiece it gives a really satisfying draw, not too dissimilar from a cigarette. There are some really well known disposables in the market right now that just don’t create as satisfying a puff compared to the Crystal Bar!

The nicotine delivery is also excellent and it produces a deep, satisfying throat kick that really stems any cravings…perfect for those who have recently quit smoking! Because I spend a lot of my time vaping 50mg nicotine strength, I occasionally find that the 20mg disposables just don’t hold back the cravings as well.

With that being said, the Crystal Bar performed brilliantly and I found myself drawing on it less than I do most other 20mg disposables.

The internal 500mah battery also performed reasonably well and provided me with around a full day of vaping.

For context, I’m a very heavy vaper and I puff constantly throughout the day. If you’re a light to medium vaper I’d guess you could get anywhere up to 2 full days of vaping, possibly even more. Considering the excellent asking price (more on this later), using the Crystal Bar works out far cheaper than smoking!

As I mentioned earlier the auto-draw function also worked flawlessly and there were no problems activating the coil, even with a very gentle draw. On top of this I didn’t experience any issues with misfiring or e-juice leakage.

Overall I was incredibly impressed with the performance of the Crystal Bar. It produces great amounts of vapor and gives a really satisfying MTL draw with smooth, flavorful hits.

As you can see the Crystal Bar range features some really interesting and delicious flavor blends. While heavily in favor of fruity blends (especially blueberry!), it’s nice to see the inclusion of varied flavors like Tiger Blood, Tobacco and Gummy Bear.

Overall I was incredibly impressed with the Crystal Bar flavors I tested. All three were incredibly delicious and I found each one hard to put down. It’s clear that SKE have spent a great deal of time creating a flavor range that has something for everyone.

These were among some of the best disposable flavors I’ve tried in the past year and I’ll certainly be sampling more from the range in the near future!

At the time of writing the SKE Crystal Bar is currently available for the very reasonable price of £3.99! When you consider my local vape shop sells the 600 puff Elf Bar for £5.99, the price tag on the Crystal Bar is fantastic!

While the non-rechargeable disposables tend to cost slightly more than a traditional mod and tank setup, or even a rechargeable disposable like the Orion Bar 7500, a cost of £3.99 every 1-2 days is still far cheaper than smoking.

The flavors on disposables like the SKE Crystal Bar are also one of the main reasons I often treat myself to a 600 puff disposable. It’s a great way to experiment and see what flavors tickle your taste buds, so to speak.
