Today we’re taking a closer look at the new Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge from Voopoo that’s very recently got the vaping world talking. This cartridge (pod) is a new concept and one we were introduced to when reviewing the Argus G4/G4 Mini back in June of this year.

Each multi-ohm cartridge (pod) has dual resistances (0.7 ohm and 1.0 ohm) in the one cartridge, so depending which way round the cartridge is fitted into any of the existing range of Voopoo Argus kits, gives you a different vaping experience.

This new cartridge (pod) design uses a 3 pin coil arrangement on the base of the cartridge so when used in compatible Argus devices (currently the Argus G4), allows you to select 3 different resistances of 0.4/0.7/1.0 ohms, hence the name Multi-Ohm. Earlier Argus kits with 2 coil pins in the pod recess can only access the 0.7 ohm and 1.0 ohm resistances by flipping the cartridge.
We will be trying the Argus Multi-Ohm cartridge in all the different Argus kits/devices we have previously reviewed to verify this multi-ohm cartridge works with these kits. We will also look at a couple of different e-liquid flavors and PG/VG ratios to see how this cartridge performs under different scenarios.
Do take a look at our Argus G4 and G4 Mini Review as these kits came shipped with the new Argus Multi-Ohm cartridge which we went through in great detail.

These new Argus Multi-Ohm cartridges are refillable (top side-fill) and come in 2 different sizes; 2ml or 3.5ml e-liquid capacity and can be purchased in packs of three or sold individually.
Before we delve into the main review, I would like to thank the guys and girls at Voopoo for sending us a couple of packs of the Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridges. As always this review is completely unbiased and my honest opinion of my findings while using and reviewing the supplied product.

Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge Packaging

The packaging box is the now familiar yellow color with the “”OO” chain link from the Voopoo name and measures 116mm x 58mm x 18mm. Once you open the top flap of the box, the 3 Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridges, which are individually sealed and connected together in an aluminum foil strip blister pack, slide out together with the User manual.

On the front of the packaging is a photo of the Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge with the branding “Voopoo”, “Argus” and “Multi-Ohm Cartridge” above the photo. An emblem to the right of the photo shows “Argus Pod Family Compatibility” with the e-liquid capacity and number of pieces below the photo.

The reverse side of the packaging details the “Product Name”, “Manufacturer’s Details”, “CE/Kite mark logo’s“, “Voopoo’s Authentication Scratch Here Sticker and Bar Code” and the relevant safety warnings.

At the left side are “Voopoo” and Voopoo’s “QR Code”. The right side displays 3 boxed icons; “Switch Between 0.4 / 0.7 / 1.0Ω”, “Multi-Core Electrode Tech” and “Liquid-Seal Shield 30-Day Clean”. Underneath these icons is a statement “0.4Ω only supports switching for G4 and some subsequent products”. Below this is the Warnings about the product.
Preparing to Use the Voopoo Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge

When you first need to use a brand new cartridge, remove the blister pack from within the multi-ohm cartridge packaging and take out 1 of the cartridges from its sealed compartment.

Unplug the black silicone rubber e-liquid bung on the top side of the Argus Multi-Ohm cartridge from the direction of the branded arrow. Fill with e-liquid, refit the rubber bung and wait for 10-15 minutes to allow the coil/wick to fully saturate with e-liquid before you start using the cartridge in your device.

Do take notice which way round you fit the cartridge as one way will activate the device to 0.7 ohms and the other way will switch it to 1.0 ohm. Because the branding can be quite difficult to see, 0.7 ohm is the side with the Voopoo branding and fill port to the right and 1.0 ohm is the side with the Argus branding and fill port facing left. Depending on which Argus device you’re using, the relevant display will indicate which resistance is selected.
Where possible, if the device you’re using has variable wattage control, I would suggest altering the wattage to its lowest value and take a few draws to pull e-liquid through the cartridge to slowly bed the new cartridge/coil in. This will help improve/increase the longevity of the cartridge.
Voopoo Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge – Design and Appearance

Voopoo have not just upgraded the Argus cartridge (pod), they’ve completely redesigned it. Voopoo has pioneered an industry first, bringing us the Argus Multi-Ohm cartridge which integrates multiple resistances (0.7 ohm/1.0 ohm) into one cartridge. This pod is instantly recognizable by its orange colored base and 3 coil electrode pins.

This is achieved by Voopoo’s Multi-Core Electrode Tech which in essence utilizes a 3 electrode configuration of positive + negative + positive. This is a game changer when compared to the standard 2-pin configuration of positive and negative that standard pods have.

Changing between the two resistances is as simple as flipping the cartridge around in the pod recess. When paired with the Argus G4 or future 3 pin devices, a third resistance of 0.4 ohm can be selected by double-pressing the control button which activates both positive pins simultaneously enabling the lower and upper heating elements to work together (0.7Ω and 1.0Ω in parallel equals 0.4Ω).
If you’ve read any of our earlier Voopoo Argus reviews, you will no doubt know we hold the original Argus pods and the Argus V2 pods in high regard. Their performance made these some of the best pods around at that time. These new Argus Multi-Ohm cartridges mirror the V2 pods in terms of a bigger coil, improved aviation grade cotton with an encased copper liquid seal surrounding the coil, and are powered by iCOSM CODE 2.0 for enhanced performance.

Having used these new Multi-Ohm cartridges for the last 3 months in the Argus G4 and G4 Mini, they are as good if not better with the added bonus of being able to have the dual resistance (triple resistance in the G4) in one cartridge.

These new Argus Multi-Ohm cartridges are manufactured out of slightly tinted (smoked) lightweight PCTG material, are top side fill pods and have a 2ml e-liquid capacity for TPD regions and 3.5ml for other regions. We received the non TPD version with the Argus G4 and Argus G4 Mini kits when we reviewed them and also received a couple of packs of the 2ml version so can compare the difference between the two types.

Overall dimensions of the 2.0ml and 3.5ml capacity cartridges are identical and measure 39.5mm tall by 25.5mm wide and 13.5mm deep. The weight of the 3.5ml cartridge is 7.45 grams but the 2.0ml cartridge weight increases to 7.85 grams because of the two e-liquid restrictors inside the cartridge.

The mouthpiece is a duckbill shape with a 9mm oval opening tapering to a 4mm circular cut out to cater for the MTL/RDL vape style.

To gain access to the fill port, the silicone rubber bung has “Open” branded into the rubber and an indented arrow on it which identifies the end to open and be lifted away to gain access to the filling port. As with most of these bungs, it does help if you have finger nails to get under the flap otherwise it’s a bit tricky.

When the plug is opened, the other end of the silicone rubber flap will remain attached to the pod so it won’t get lost. It can be swivelled to the side to give easier access to the filling hole. This e-liquid fill port is a reasonable size measuring 4.5mm so is big enough to accept short stubby e-liquid tip bottles.

On the underside of the cartridge are 2 small diagonally opposed air intake holes either side of the integrated coil with its 3 coil contact plates. There are also two bar magnets on the base of the cartridge that locate with the magnets in the pod recess of the Argus device you’re using.

Branding on these cartridges has “Voopoo” and “0.7Ω” screen printed on one side of the cartridge and “Argus” and “1.0Ω” on the other side. It’s quite hard to clearly read this branding but does show up in different lights.

Inserting the cartridge is straight-forward enough, simply place the cartridge to the Argus body recessed pod opening of the device you’re using and it will slide into the recess and be held in place by the magnets. Depending which was round the pod is inserted, 0.7 ohm or 1.0 ohm will be detected.
A guide on the minimum and maximum wattage, together with the optimum wattage for each resistance is listed below but this is only a guide and dependent on the Argus device you’re using.
- 0.4 ohm = 18W – 35W Optimum = 30W
- 0.7 ohm = 14W – 18W Optimum = 16W
- 1.0 ohm = 10W – 14W Optimum = 12W
Voopoo Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge Performance

When we first used these Multi-Ohm cartridges when reviewing the Argus G4 and Argus G4 Mini back in June 2026 we were very pleasantly surprised at just how good they performed. We found they matched that of the earlier Argus V2 pods at all 3 different resistances when using the Argus G4, and at 0.7 ohm and 1.0 ohm when using the Argus G4 Mini.
Having the ability to use 3 different resistances creating 3 different vaping styles (DTL / RDL / MTL) in the one cartridge really is a game changer and negates the need to purchase different resistance pods.

Flavor came through in abundance and the amount of vapor was plentiful irrespective of which resistance I was vaping with. As with all the Argus pods, the Multi-Ohm cartridge works really well both below the minimum recommended wattage level and at the optimum set wattage.
Voopoo state that because of their iCOSM CODE 2.0 technology, the multi-ohm cartridge achieves leak-free performance up to 30 days and is capable of sustaining 100ml passed through the cartridge before the flavor tails off.
I can confirm I’m still using the original multi-ohm cartridge that came with the Argus G4 (June 2026) and have been using it most days since then with very little sign of it degrading. Approximately 90days of use and it’s still not leaking and my puff count is approaching 19,000 with a throughput of e-liquid of around 180ml.
Multiple flavors, including fruits, desserts, tobacco, mint, candy and some multiple blends have been used through these multi-ohm cartridges all with very good results. The 0.7 ohm and 1.0 ohm resistances have been tried across several different Argus pod devices and the 0.4 ohm with the flagship Argus G4. The Multi-ohm cartridge performed without fault in all scenarios.
As expected, different flavor tones across one or two of the flavors we tried were more prevalent at different resistances and at different draw styles/power levels. The beauty of having the choice of 3 resistive values in the one cartridge makes your vaping experience so much more fun and enjoyable.
We pointed out earlier that the Argus multi-ohm cartridge is cross-compatible across all the Argus pod kits; 21 different devices to date with more coming in the near future. We’ve listed below these Argus devices and the 12 we tried with the new Multi-Ohm Cartridge while compiling this review. Those devices we’ve placed an asterisk against.

How do I Fill the Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridges?

These new Argus Multi-Ohm cartridges have the same top side-fill design as the earlier Argus pods so don’t have to be removed from the Argus device you’re using in order to fill with e-liquid. It’s purely down to user preference whether you remove the cartridge/pod or not.

The fill port is located on one side of the cartridge casing and is concealed behind a black silicone rubber flap. A small arrow, just below the word “Open” is indented on the rubber flap highlighting which end of the rubber stopper lifts away to gain access to the fill port.

This silicone rubber flap is attached to the cartridge by a small rubber pin so there’s no chance of it getting lost. It can be swivelled side-wards when you’re filling to give that little more free room. Because the fill port opening is pretty wide (4.5mm), it’ll accept those larger e-liquid/shortfill bottle tips. However, because of the increased coil size, I would recommend filling the cartridge slowly allowing the air to release.

Pull open the flap and insert your e-liquid bottle tip into the opening. Tilt the cartridge on its side to aid filling and to get the maximum amount of e-liquid into the cartridge. Once filled, re-insert the silicon rubber flap making sure the fill port is securely re-seated.
Quick Tip: If you are filling the cartridge for the first time, once filled, leave to stand for approx. 10-15 minutes before you start to vape. This will help saturate the wick fully in e-liquid and help prolong the life of the coil/cartridge.
When and How do I Change the Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge?

Because these Multi-Ohm cartridges have fixed non replaceable coils, when the coil starts to degrade after a few weeks/months of use, the cartridge will need to be discarded and a new one fitted.
An indication of the coil degrading will show by a loss of flavor and/or a lack of vapor or worst case a dry cotton or burnt taste. Equally the coil could fail going open or short circuit. In all cases, when this happens discard the cartridge and fit a new one.

Pull the cartridge away from the Argus device you’re using. Unfortunately if you still have e-liquid in the cartridge, this will have to be discarded as well as it will have been tainted by the burnt out coil.
When fitting a new cartridge, follow the procedure for How do I Fill the Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge.
Voopoo Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge Price
Looking across several of the major retailers, the Voopoo Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridges are selling between £7.99 – £9.99 for a pack of 3. Considering their excellent performance and longevity, this price is pretty good in my opinion.
