Voopoo Vinci E120 Review | Beauty Meets The Beast!

Today we’re reviewing a beast of a device called the Vinci E120 from Voopoo that’s about to turn the pod market upside down and inside out. Continuing with the Vinci name and hot off the heels of the Spark 100 mod kit which we’ve just reviewed, the Vinci E120 is a very powerful pod kit that’s unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Having used the PnP-X coils during our earlier reviews of the Drag 5, Drag S2/X2, Argus E40 and Vinci Spark 100, we know only too well the performance from these coils is amazing. The range of coils available caters for every style of vaping which makes the Vinci E120 even more versatile.

The Vinci E120 is aptly named; the E I can only assume stands for Extraordinary or Exquisite and the 120 is the wattage it’s capable of providing (120W). Couple this with a massive 4500mAh battery, a 2.4 inch multi-colored display with watch-face screensavers, a pod that accepts the Excellent range of PnP-X coils and all encased in a really Elegant body makes this one very Effective and Efficient pod kit.

Pod kits have come on leaps and bounds over the last few years but for the die-hard mod users among us they never quite match the standard mod and tank setup. Well I think the introduction of the Vinci E120 pod kit may well just throw this opinion up in the air!

As always we will give a quick overview covering the main points and features of the Voopoo Vinci E120 kit and then jump into the main body of the review covering everything there is to know about it.

Overview of the Vinci E120 Kit

The Vinci E120 has an internal 4500mAh battery and is the biggest capacity we’ve ever seen in a pod kit. It’s capable of outputting a massive 120W of power (pod dependent), has Smart coil detect which automatically sets the optimum wattage limiting the maximum wattage for each coil type and is adjusted using the + and – control buttons.

A 2A Type-C USB charging port is located on the side of the Vinci E120 which fully charges the battery in around 1 hours 45 minutes. Positioned above this port is a sliding lock/unlock button which locks the fire and control buttons and above that are the +/- control buttons.

On the front of the Vinci E120 is a 10mm diameter circular fire button and below this button a 2.4 inch TFT display that apart from showing all the user information has 18 different selectable real time watch-face screensavers.

Variable airflow control in the form of a slider lever on the left side of the Vinci E120 body, in conjunction with the PnP-X range of push fit coils (0.15 ohm and 0.3 ohm included in the kit) caters for any style of vaping.

The Vinci PnP-X cartridge (pod) is a topside refillable pod with a 5ml/2ml e-liquid capacity that takes the replaceable PnP-X range of push-fit coils.

Update 5th July 2025: For info, the Voopoo Argus E40 pod kit which we review‘ed earlier uses a larger Argus E40 cartridge (pod) that not only has an integrated PnP-X coil of different resistances but also has an empty Argus E40 pod that’s available separately. These pods are virtually identical to the Vinci PnP-X pod which comes supplied with the Vinci E120 pod kit. Both these Argus E40 pods are compatible with the Vinci E120 and the Vinci PnP-X pod will also work with the Argus E40.

Control of the Vinci E120 is carried out by the GENE.TT 2.0 chip, providing accurate power levels, ultra-fast firing speeds and the usual host of safety features. 7 different colors are available in the Vinci E120 range:

Note: Depending on your region, the Vinci E120 kit will include a 2ml (TPD) or 5ml (standard) Vinci PnP-X Pod. We received the 5ml version so the photos throughout this review will include that variant.

Voopoo Vinci E120 Kit Packaging

The packaging is a white cardboard slide out draw type rigid box with an outer colored sleeve that details the product content information. Once the outer sleeve is removed there is a thin cardboard wallet that sits on top of the box that contains the user manual.

When this wallet is removed, the Vinci E120 device with the Vinci PnP-X pod attached and the 0.3 ohm PnP-X coil pre-fitted are held securely in a molded plastic insert. Once this plastic insert is removed, there is a clear sealed plastic bag that contains the Type-C charging cable and the spare PnP-X 0.15 ohm coil.

On the front of the outer sleeve is the company name “VOOPOO”, the brand and model type “Vinci E120” and a photo of the Vinci E120 kit in the color of the included device.

The reverse side of the outer sleeve details the “Brand and Model type”,  “Package Contents”, “Manufacturer’s Details”, “CE/Kite mark” logo’s and the relevant safety warnings.

On the left side of the outer sleeve are 3 different icons; “4500mAh Battery”, “2.4 inch TFT Screen” and “120W Max Output”. Below these icons is a QR code about Voopoo. The right side of the outer sleeve has the product name and brand, a “Scratch Here” authentication label and a bar code sticker with the color of the included device.

Overall size and dimensions of the packaging are 144mm high x 71mm wide x 49mm deep. As you can see from the photos we received the Spray Black Vinci E120 kit.

Preparing to Use the Voopoo Vinci E120 Kit

When you first unbox your Vinci E120, the device with the Vinci PnP-X pod attached is covered in a slide out clear protective sleeve. Before you can use the device, remove this sleeve.

Take the Vinci PnP-X pod out of the Vinci E120 and remove the thin film protector from the base of the coil.

Remove the coil from the base of the pod and drip a few drops of e-liquid into each wicking port. Refit the coil into the bottom of the pod.

Unplug the black silicone rubber e-liquid bung on the side of the Vinci pod, fill with e-liquid, refit the rubber bung and wait for 10-15 minutes to allow the e-liquid to fully saturate the coil/wicking material.

After this time has elapsed, refit the Vinci pod into the Vinci E120 pod recess and turn on the device by pressing the fire button 5 times in quick succession. The Vinci E120 will auto recognize the coil fitted in the pod and set the optimum wattage for the coil that’s been fitted.

I would suggest lowering the wattage level to 5W and taking a few draws to initially bed the new coil in. Increase the wattage in 2W increments, each time taking a couple more draws until you reach the wattage that gives you your ideal draw. This ensures your new coil is slowly bedded in and not subjected to excessive wattage before the coil become fully saturated in e-liquid.

Voopoo Vinci E120 Kit Design and Appearance

Vinci E120 Body/Battery

The Voopoo Vinci E120 is constructed out of Aluminium Alloy and measures 90mm tall (excluding the pod), 48mm wide by 24.5mm deep and weighs in at 137.2 grams. When the Vinci PnP-X pod is attached, the overall height is 117.5mm and the combined weight is 147.7 grams. Adding the PnP-X coil increases the weight to 153.2 grams. The kit we received included the 5ml version pod so the overall weight and height of the 2ml variant may slightly reduce.

It’s a box style MTL, RDL and DTL fire button activated device with variable wattage from 5W up to a massive 120W. The wattage is adjustable in 1W steps but also auto detects the resistance of the coil being used (Smart coil detect) and selects the optimum wattage (coil specific). In addition to this, it also limits the maximum allowable wattage that can be set for each coil type to prevent excessive power being applied to the coil.

Powered by a really large 4500mAh capacity internal rechargeable battery, it’s recharged using the supplied cable that comes in the kit via the Type-C USB charging port on the side edge of the Vinci E120 which is specified as 5V/2A. Charging times are not very quick because of the huge capacity of the battery and fully charges the Vinci E120 in approximately 1 hour 45 minutes with the added benefit of having pass-thru allowing you to vape while it’s being charged.

Above the USB-C port on the right side edge of the Vinci E120 frame is a circular 5mm Lock/Unlock switch that prohibits the fire and + / – control buttons from operating when set to the lock position. Two 8.5mm by 5mm rectangular + and – control buttons that sit above the lock/unlock switch access the different screen settings and alter the variable wattage levels.

On the left hand side edge of the Vinci E120 body towards the top of the casing is a 5mm diameter variable airflow control lever. Moving the slider uppermost closes (restricts) the airflow and moving the slider downwards will open the airflow intake. Interestingly there are 2 fixed small air intake holes on the right hand side case so even if the variable airflow slider is completely closed there is still a small air inlet present.

Each of these buttons only protrudes from the side casings by less than 1mm so there’s no chance of any of them getting caught or moving on their own.

The front face of the Vinci E120 has a large circular 10mm diameter fire button with a slightly raised beveled surround and below that a very large 2.4 inch TFT multi-colored display. The information shown on the main display includes the following:

• Battery level icon with % value
• Lock / Unlock padlock symbol
• Real time digital clock
• Numerical Wattage value (5W-120W)
• Coil resistance reading
• Puff Counter
• Vape time duration
• A background image of Everest at night

This main information screen only remains visible for about 3 seconds and then switches to 1 of 18 different full size clock faces with a real time clock displayed. Within this clock face, the remaining battery charge and puff counter are also displayed.

These different clock faces are screensavers and can be unlocked at different puff count readings and selectable from the menu control screen. This menu is activated by pressing the + / – control buttons together and displays the following:

• Clock Theme
• Time Calibration
• Screen Lock
• Exit

At the top of the Voopoo Vinci E120 is the 14mm deep recessed oval opening for the pod to be located which can be fitted either way round.

Within the pod recess are two gold plated spring loaded coil contact pins, four rectangular bar magnets that line up with the pod and two air intake channels that lead to the airflow slider and the small fixed airflow holes.

The bottom of the Vinci E120 is flat and has no problems with being stood upright. Branding on the flat base is very discreet and includes “Gene TT” and the usual “CE and Disposal” markings.

Voopoo’s branding is also shown in very discreet lettering with “Voopoo” written on the back case and “Voopoo Vinci” on the bottom of the left hand side casing.

The Vinci E120’s GENE TT chip set ensures the 7 safety features and protections are maintained, such as:

• Overtime protection (8 seconds)
• Low battery protection (3.2V)
• Short circuit protection (<0.15 ohms)
• Over temperature protection
• Overcharge protection
• Output overcurrent protection
• Max power protection (pod specific)
• Check Atomizer (no resistance detected)
• Device Function Lock / Unlock

There are a total of 7 different colors available in the Vinci E120 range, these include:

The color we received to test and review was the Spray Black version which you can see throughout this review.

Vinci PnP-X Pod

The Vinci PnP-X pod that comes supplied with the Vinci E120 kit is the DTL version, has a wider bore internal chimney and although accepts the complete range of PnP-X push fit coils, is more suited to the lower resistance PnP-X 0.15/0.2/0.3/0.45 ohm coils. A MTL Vinci PnP-X pod is available (sold separately), has a narrower bore chimney and is more suited to the higher resistance PnP-X 0.6/0.8/1.0 ohm coils.

Interestingly the Argus PnP-X pod that we tested during our review of the Argus E40 kit, despite having a slightly smaller e-liquid capacity, fits the Vinci E120 pod recess perfectly.

The Vinci E120 kit we received came supplied with the Vinci PnP-X (DTL) pod with the 0.15 ohm and 0.3 ohm PnP-X push fit coils. We received the standard version so has a 5ml e-liquid capacity whereas the TPD version is 2ml. They are topside fill so the pod doesn’t have to be removed from the Vinci E120 in order to fill.

When first using your pod, make sure you remove the thin plastic film from the base of the pod. The pod comes shipped with this protector so it can’t be accidentally fired before e-liquid has been added. Remove the PnP-X coil from the base of the pod, drip e-liquid into each wicking port, replace the coil and fill the pod with e-liquid.

These pods are manufactured out of tinted (smoked) lightweight PCTG material. The mouthpiece is a duckbill shape with a 12mm oval opening tapering to a 6mm circular cut out to cater for the RDL/DTL vape style.

Its overall dimensions are 32.5mm tall by 25.4mm wide and 13.4mm deep and weights is 10.5 grams.

The Vinci PnP-X pods topside e-liquid fill port is concealed behind a black silicone rubber plug that remains visible when the pod is fitted. To gain access to the fill port, the silicone rubber bung has an indented arrow on it which identifies the end to open and be lifted away to gain access to the filling port. As with most of these bungs, it does help if you have finger nails to get under the flap otherwise it’s a bit tricky.

When the plug is opened (from the top), the other end of the silicone rubber flap will remain attached to the pod so it won’t get lost. The rubber flap can be swiveled around away from the fill port opening if required giving you that little extra free room. This e-liquid fill port hole is a reasonable size measuring 4.7mm so is big enough to accept all e-liquid tip bottles.

On the underside of the pod are two large oval air intake holes either side of the 11mm diameter coil opening and four small bar magnets that locate with the magnets in the pod recess of the Vinci E120.

The Vinci PnP-X pod accepts the Vinci PnP-X range of push fit replaceable coils making this extremely versatile with currently 7 different coils to choose from.

• 0.15 ohm mesh rated at 60W – 80W
• 0.2 ohm mesh rated at 40W – 60W
• 0.3 ohm mesh rated at 32W – 40W
• 0.45 ohm mesh rated at 25W – 32W
• 0.6 ohm mesh rated at 18W – 23W
• 0.8 ohm mesh rated at 12W – 16W
• 1.0 ohm mesh rated at 10W – 13W

Two O-rings on the top of the coil provide an airtight seal into the circular chimney in the pod and a further two O-ring towards the base of the coil provides the seal into the base of the pod.

These coils are a nice tight snug fit into the pod and do a great job of ensuring no e-liquid will seep from the pod. When fitting the coil make sure you push the coil fully into the pod opening so the two flat sides on the base of the coil align with the two long sides of the pod so the coil sits flush with the bottom of the pod.

Branding on these pods has “Voopoo” and “Vinci” screen printed on one side of the pod and the “CE” markings on the other side. The side edge that has the e-liquid rubber bung has “DTL” in very small lettering on the bottom edge.

Inserting the Vinci PnP-X pod is straightforward, simply place the pod into the Vinci E120 top recessed opening and it will slide into the recess and be locked and held in place by the four magnets.

Removing the pod is carried out by grasping the pod mouthpiece and pulling away from the Vinci E120 body/battery. It’s a reasonably secure fit so a little effort is needed.

Voopoo Vinci E120 Functionality

The Voopoo Vinci E120 is a variable wattage 5W – 120W pod device, adjustable in 1W increments using the + / – control buttons and also has Smart coil detect. This initially senses the coil resistance, automatically selects the optimum output power and limits the maximum wattage available for each coil type.

It’s fire button controlled, has a manual lock/unlock switch that activates/deactivates the fire and control buttons and variable step-less airflow control providing the air intake to enable MTL, RDL and DTL vaping styles depending on the type of coil fitted.

A large 2.4 inch TFT multi-color display screen, that in addition to highlighting all the user information, has 18 different real-time watch-faces that function as screensavers.

Quick start guide of the basic control and functions are:

• Fire button pressed 5 times turns the device ON or OFF
• Long press the fire button and + button clears the Puff counter
• Side slide switch will lock/unlock the device
• + and – buttons pressed enters the menu setting
• + button will increase the wattage in 1W steps
• – button will decrease the wattage in 1W steps

Main Display Screen

The Vinci E120 multi-color 2.4 inch TFT display screen shows the main operating settings as follows:

• Battery level icon with % value
• Lock / Unlock padlock symbol
• Real time digital clock
• Numerical Wattage value (5W-120W)
• Coil resistance reading
• Puff Counter
• Vape time duration
• A background image of Everest at night

This main display screen is visible when the Vinci E120 is being fired or the control buttons are pressed and then after 3 seconds the main display switches to 1 of 18 different full size clock faces with a real time clock displayed. Depending which clock faces are unlocked and selected, the remaining battery charge and puff counter are also displayed.

These different clock faces are unlocked after different puff count levels are reached and can be selected from the menu screen.

Menu Screen

The menu screen is activated by pressing the + / – control buttons together. The following sub menus are then displayed as follows:

• Clock Theme: Displays 2 default screens and unlocked screens
• Time Calibration: Sets the real time clock
• Screen Lock: Adjusts the watch face time out between 00 – 30 minutes (Note)
• Exit: Returns to the main display

Note: If the screen lock is set to “00”, the watch face screensaver won’t display. The main screen will illuminate for 10 seconds after the fire button or controls buttons are released, dim to half brightness for a further 5 seconds and then extinguish. Setting any time from 01 – 30 will illuminate the selected watch-face for that length of time.

Use the + or – buttons to scroll through the available options. As you scroll through each one, the one that’s selected will be highlighted in a blue background with blue writing. Press the fire button on the selected menu and it will take you to that particular function.

Clock Theme

Only two themes are initially unlocked, the remaining watch-face themes are unlocked once the specified puff count is reached against each theme as shown in the above photo. When this theme is selected, use the + or – button to select the watch face you wish to be displayed. Press the fire button on the one selected and it will enable that particular screensaver.

At the time of writing, we reached just under a 1000 puffs so we managed to unlock 2 addition screensaver which you can see from the above photos. We will continue to use the Vinci E120 so once we’ve unlocked all the screensavers we will update this review with those images.

18th March 2025 – Updated Clock Faces

More Clock faces to follow once we reach each of the unlocked puff counts. The last icon is a puff count of 18000 so once we reach that we will add the other themes.

30th June 2025 – More Updated Clock Faces

These are the last 5 clock faces that show on the Vinci E120 once you’ve reached the 18000 puff count. Each one can be used as your screen saver by entering the clock face menu and selecting the one you want.

Time Calibration (clock)

Setting the real time clock is carried out by selecting the “Time Calibration” from the menu screen and using the +/- buttons to adjust the hours and minutes. Once each are set, press the fire button and it activates the correct time. Only a 24hr clock can be enabled.

Smart Coil Recognition

Auto coil sensing detects the resistance of the coil you’re using where it sets the optimum (ideal) wattage when the pod is inserted and also limits the maximum selectable wattage for the coil type you’re using.

This pre-set optimum wattage can be adjusted above or below this value but the upper wattage limit for the coil cannot be exceeded. Once you reach the maximum wattage for the coil, the Vinci E120 display will show that MAX POWER has been reached.

Holding down the + or – button will scroll through the wattage levels faster. There is no round robin when using the + / – buttons, once you reach the maximum value the display will show “MAX POWER”. You will have to press the – button to go back down and vice versa for the minimum value (5W).

Airflow

The Voopoo Vinci E120 incorporates an adjustable step-less airflow control slider on the left hand side edge of the casing. When the airflow control slider is in the downward position the airflow is open and provides a DTL/RDL draw.

Moving the airflow control slider uppermost, closes the airflow off and provide a restrictive draw. Even though the slider is closed, the two fixed holes on the opposite of the casing still allow airflow through to the base of the pod.

Lock/Unlock Switch

The lock/unlock switch positioned above the Type-C USB port will lock/unlock the fire button and +/- controls buttons. They are not independent, both the fire and control buttons and locked when the switch is in the lock position.

Moving the slider switch button up will put the Vinci E120 into the lock position and the padlock icon in the top middle of the main screen will turn red and the icon will show the padlock closed. Sliding the switch button down unlocks the device and the padlock icon will be white and shows the padlock open.

Voopoo Vinci E120 Kit Performance

Both the PnP-X 0.15 ohm and PnP-X 0.3 ohm mesh coils provided in the Vinci E120 kit are DTL/RDL coils. Voopoo state these PnP-X coils can withstand 100ml extended life without coil burning, leakage or coil degradation.

As always, when using a new coil for the first time, drip a few drops of e-liquid into each of the wicking ports. Fill the pod with e-liquid and leave to stand for 10-15 minutes before you use to allow the e-liquid to fully saturate the wicking material. I also recommend when using a new coil to set the wattage to its lowest setting and take a few draws to pull e-liquid through the coil. Gradually increase the wattage in 2W steps, each time taking a few draws until you reach your sweet spot. This will help increase the coil lifespan in the pod.

The PnP-X coils and their wicking ports are a reasonable size so are capable of working equally as well with 50/50 VG/PG or 70/30 VG/PG ratio e-liquids.

PnP-X 0.15 ohm Mesh Coil – Black O-Rings

Voopoo specify the minimum and maximum wattage range for this coil is 60W – 80W. Smart coil detect will initially set the wattage to 65W. The operating wattage of the Vinci E120, when using the 0.15 ohm coil is 5W to 80W.

After priming the coil, filling the pod with 70VG/30PG e-liquid and waiting 10-15 minutes, I set the wattage from 5W through to 20W taking a few draws each time to bed the coil in. At 20W the flavor started to come through and was giving an ok vape.

Taking it up to 30W improved the performance and everything started to work really well. The flavor and vapor came through really nice. At 40W the flavor was spot on and the vapor was very dense.

Increasing the wattage to 55W and then to 65W gave a very powerful vape but too intense for me. The vapor was filling the room even after short sharp draws. I didn’t take it to the maximum 80W as I felt there was no need even though the coil felt like it would hold up really well.

My ideal wattage for this coil was between 35W – 40W with the airflow fully open which produces a wonderful DTL draw.

PnP-X 0.3 ohm Mesh Coil – Red O-Rings (pre-fitted)

Voopoo specify the minimum and maximum wattage range for this coil is 32W – 40W. Smart coil detect will initially set the wattage to 35W. The operating wattage of the Vinci E120 when using the 0.3 ohm coil is 5W to 40W.

After priming the coil I started off at 10W and the flavor and vapor was already present and gave pretty good results. Increasing the wattage to 15W produced decent flavor with quite dense vapor.

At 20W both the flavor and vapor was really good. Incrementing the wattage in 2W steps each time still gave the same great flavor with the level of vapor increasing and only requiring a shorter draw.

Increasing it further to the minimum recommended for the coil (32W) and the Smart coil detect optimum (35W) did increase the intensity of the draw but I felt it was not needed. This level of power for me again really was too intense.

My ideal wattage for this coil was around the 15W – 18W power level with the airflow fully open.

Flavor and vapor was equally as impressive as the PnP-X 0.15 coil. Airflow control is spot on giving a smooth draw with no turbulence and VERY airy with the airflow open and an RDL draw with the airflow virtually shut off.

Coil Summary

Both these coils produced terrific results. I use a lot of different Voopoo PnP-X coils in other mods/pods I have and the flavor from them has always been top notch. The amount of vapor, considering I run these coils well below the minimum recommended wattage, is incredible.

Vaping on these coils at lower wattages can easily be done with very good results and does help to increase the longevity of the coil. Using them on the recommended wattage was too intense for my style of vaping as I prefer a slower draw.

No turbulence or gurgling was detected, no dry hits and the vape draw was very smooth. The airflow worked really well but most times I vaped with the airflow fully open.

The lifetime of these coils FAR exceeds the 100ml that Voopoo claim. In general I can regularly achieve 2 months use from a coil which equates to around 400ml of e-liquid passed through them.

Voopoo Vinci E120 Battery Performance

The Voopoo Vinci E120 is powered by a rechargeable 4500mAh internal battery. As we mentioned earlier this really is a massive capacity battery and the biggest we’ve ever seen in a pod kit. Charging time is pretty quick considering the size of the battery and takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to fully charge via the on board Type-C USB port with the supplied cable when using a power source of 2A.

On average I was achieving over 2 days vaping on a single charge when using the 0.3 ohm coil which is pretty impressive. This time reduced slightly when using the 0.15 ohm coil. Vape times will vary depending on your vaping style i.e. power level you vape at and the duration and frequency of your draw.

The Vinci E120 indicates the status of the remaining battery charge on the TFT display when you fire the device or press the + / – control buttons. The remaining charge is shown at the top left hand side of the main display screen with the percentage value of charge left to the right of the battery icon. As the charge reduces the battery icon will reduce and change color with the percentage value reducing too.

When the screen changes to one of the 18 different watch-faces, the remaining percentage value of charge and puff count does appear on some of these watch-face screensavers but in different styles and positions.

Once the remaining battery charges falls below 20%, the battery icon turns red so you know you have limited time remaining before the battery cuts out. As you approach the low voltage cut-off point the TFT display will indicate LOW POWER.

When your battery runs out of charge, the display will indicate CHECK BATTERY and you will no longer be able to vape. At this point you will have to re-charge your battery and the good news is the Vinci E120 does have pass-thru vaping so you are able to vape while your battery is being charged.

How do I Fill the Voopoo Vinci PnP-X Pod?

The Voopoo Vinci PnP-X pod is a topside fill design despite being positioned on the side of the pod because the pod doesn’t have to be removed from the Vinci E120 in order to fill with e-liquid. It’s purely down to user preference whether you remove the pod or not.

The fill port is located on one side of the pod casing and is concealed behind a black silicon rubber flap. A small arrow is indented on the rubber flap highlighting which end of the rubber stopper lifts away to gain access to the fill port.

This silicone rubber flap is attached to the pod by a small rubber pin so there’s no chance of it getting lost. It can be swiveled side-wards when you’re filling to give a little more free room. Because the fill port opening is pretty wide (4.7mm), it’ll accept those larger e-liquid/shortfill bottle tips.

Pull open the flap and insert your e-liquid bottle tip into the opening. Tilt the pod on its side to aid filling and to get the maximum amount of e-liquid into the pod. Once filled, re-insert the silicon rubber flap making sure the fill port is securely re-seated.

Quick Tip: If you are filling the pod for the first time, drip a few drops of e liquid onto the wicking ports of the coil first. Push the coil into the pod then fill the pod and leave to stand for approximately 10-15 minutes before you start to vape. Also keep the wattage low initially and take a few draws to pull e-liquid through the coil. Slowly increase the wattage in small steps, each time taking a few draws until you reach your desired setting. This will help saturate the wick fully in e-liquid and prolong the life of your coil.

How do I Change the Coil in the Voopoo Vinci PnP-X Pod?

When the coil you’re using shows an “Atomizer Short” on the TFT display, the flavor and vapor has significantly reduced or your e-liquid starts producing a burnt taste it’s time to replace your coil with a new one.

Remove the Vinci PnP-X pod from the Vinci E120 pod recess. Because the PnP-X coils are a push fit type, simply pull the old coil out from the bottom of the pod and replace with a new one.

If the pod has e-liquid in it while you’re removing the coil, e-liquid will spill from the pod. The best method to avoid this or to keep e-liquid spillage to a minimum is to hold the pod upside down (mouthpiece pointing downwards), place your finger tightly over the opening of the mouthpiece and then remove the coil.

Replace with a new coil while still holding your finger over the mouthpiece. Once done, no e-liquid should spill from the pod.

The only time you will want to empty the pod of e-liquid when replacing a coil is if the old coil was producing a burnt taste. This will taint the e-liquid and will have to be disposed and the empty pod cleaned.

Fill the pod up with your e-liquid using the procedure outlined in How Do I Fill The Vinci PnP-X Pod.

Do ensure that your new coil is primed and when filled, left to stand for 15 minutes so the e-liquid fully saturates the wick. See our guide on Prolonging the Life of your Coil.

I would recommend when first using a new coil to lower the wattage for the first few draws and slowly increase the wattage in increments, taking a few draws at each level until you reach the wattage your happy with. This will help to bed the new coil in preventing premature ageing.

How do I Charge the Voopoo Vinci E120?

The Voopoo Vinci E120 has an internal 4500mAh capacity battery so whenever the battery becomes discharged you will have to re-charge the battery using the supplied Type-C charging cable. When you first receive your Voopoo Vinci E120 it does come with a nominal charge but we recommend fully charging the device before you first use it.

Simply connect the cable into the USB port on the side edge of the Vinci E120 and the other end into a suitable USB power source. The specified charging circuit of the Vinci E120 is 5V/2A therefore a power source equal to or above this rating will charge the device in 1 hour 45 minutes. A lower 1A power source will work but will take longer to charge.

As you vape on the Vinci E120, the white battery icon at the top of the TFT display with its percentage remaining reading will slowly decrease showing you the remaining charge left in the battery. Once the remaining charge reaches <20% the battery icon will turn red. When the battery reaches 15% remaining the TFT display will show LOW POWER when you initially press the fire button. Once the battery percentage reaches 0%, the TFT display will indicate CHECK BATTERY and you will no longer be able to vape. At this point you will need to recharge your battery.

When you put the Vinci E120 on charge, the main display will very briefly illuminate then switch to a battery charging icon screen showing a moving and rotating circle with shooting stars being added from the bottom into the ring. In the middle of this ring is a real time percentage of charge value and the time remaining to achieve full charge. It will show 0% with 99mins remaining.

After approximately 6 seconds the screen brightness will dim and then a further 10 seconds later the display will go blank. At this point there is no visual indication that the battery is being charged.

To see the charge status of your battery, you will have to press either the fire button or the +/- control buttons on the Vinci E120 to bring up the display again but it will only remain visible for another 16 seconds.

Full charge is achieved when the battery display changes from the cycling circle to a green battery icon with 100% displayed under the icon. The Vinci E120 does stop charging when full charge is reached but again there is no display indication that lets you know this unless you press a button.

Unfortunately Voopoo use this method of charging display on several of their mods as we’ve seen before. While it’s not a problem, I DO prefer to have a visual indication of the battery being charged throughout the charging cycle.

Charging time from full discharge to full charge took 1 hour 45 minutes when using a standard 5V/2.1A source. The Vinci E120 has pass-thru so you are able to vape while it’s being charged but this will increase the overall charge time.

We did a quick check how long the battery took to charge at 10 minute intervals so we could detail the results as outlined below:

• 10 minutes = 17% charge with 82 minutes remaining
• 20 minutes = 32% charge with 67 minutes remaining
• 30 minutes = 42% charge with 57 minutes remaining
• 40 minutes = 48% charge with 51 minutes remaining
• 50 minutes = 54% charge with 45 minutes remaining
• 60 minutes = 61% charge with 38 minutes remaining
• 70 minutes = 72% charge with 27 minutes remaining
• 80 minutes = 80% charge with 19 minutes remaining
• 90 minutes = 91% charge with 08 minutes remaining
• 100 minutes = 97% charge with 02 minutes remaining
• Full charge took 1hr 45mins

The Vinci E120 body did feel warm to the touch while it was being charged. As with any vape device, ALWAYS charge the device resting on a non-flammable surface and NEVER leave your mod unattended whilst charging.

Certainly from the time we’ve been using the Vinci E120, we’re sure because of its massive capacity battery and 120W max output and time-keeping TFT display it’s going to be a resounding success.

It ticks so many boxes; 4500mAh battery, 120W max power with smart coil detect, variable airflow control, separate lock/unlock switch, 2.4 inch display with real time watch-face screensavers and compatible with the renowned and exceptional range of PnP-X coils.

The design and build quality are really good with the operation and menu structure being straightforward and simple to use. Considering its power and performance, it still remains reasonably compact and is a great device for any level of vaper.

I have my go to vapes, both pod kits and mods/tanks and I feel the Vinci E120 is likely to remain center stage for quite a while to come.
