Thanks for stopping by and welcome to another Vaping Hardware disposable review. In this post we’ll be diving into a full review of the Vozol Star 9000, the latest disposable from the renowned Vozol vape brand.
Vozol originally launched in 2019 and quickly became popular in the overseas disposable market. Since then they’ve gone from strength to strength, with a reported monthly production capacity of 10 million (yes, million) units across a total of 70+ countries around the globe.
We reviewed a single-use (non-rechargeable) Vozol disposable earlier this year (the Neon 800) and had nothing but good things to say about it.
In comparison, the Vozol Star 9000 disposable is a significant step-up, with a whopping 14ml of e-juice, a 650mAh rechargeable battery and a mammoth 9,000 puff capacity!
Available in 0mg, 20mg and 50mg nicotine strength and a range of 15 mouthwatering flavors, the Vozol Star 9000 looks set to cater for a wide variety of vapers.
If that isn’t enough to get excited about, Vozol have included their new S.i.L.C coil/wick technology, which promises a Smooth, Identical (consistent), Long-lasting and Clean vaping experience.
Interestingly, the Vozol Star 9000 is also the very first disposable to feature a ‘shake to reveal’ display. A quick shake and both the remaining e-juice and battery levels are displayed clearly on the full length LED display screen.
But that’s enough preamble, let’s get stuck into the full Vozol Star 9000 review!

What’s in the Box?
First things first, I’m going to have a little rant…
Not directed at Vozol, who very kindly sent us 7 of their Star 9000 disposables to review. But at the postal service (who shall remain nameless) that delivered the parcel. As you can see from the pictures, it looks like the courier used said parcel to deflect small arms fire at some point during the apparently treacherous route to my door.
Anyway, your Vozol Star 9000 disposable will arrive (hopefully unscathed) in a small cardboard box, somewhat color-coded in a two-tone gradient design to match the flavor of the disposable inside.
I say somewhat, because the colors on the box don’t necessarily seem to align with the flavor inside. The Peach, Mango and Watermelon flavor for example, is a deep purple color with a splash of yellow. Likewise, the Strawberry Kiwi flavor came in a slightly lighter purple color with a splash of green.
But I digress.
On the front of the box there’s a picture of the Vozol Star 9000 disposable, the flavor name and the nicotine strength. You’ll also notice the ‘STAR 9000’ name, a small icon to advertise the ‘shake for display’ feature and the usual nicotine warning.
Displayed on the right facing side of the packaging is another image of the Vozol Star 9000 and the flavor name. You’ll also notice three tiny Chinese letters just below the image, the ‘STAR 9000’ name and the word ‘disposable’. To let you know that it is in fact, a disposable.
I have no idea what the Chinese letters or symbols represent – let me know in the comments if you do!
On the left facing side of the box there’s a whole heap of extra detail, including the S.i.L.C Tech information, the Vozol social media handles and the total number of puffs.
You’ll also notice icons and info relating to the fast charging capability, the ‘shake for display’ feature (more on both of these later) and the fact the Vozol Star 9000 disposable includes mouthpiece protection.
On the reverse of the packaging you can find the ‘STAR 9000’ disposable name, the battery and e-juice capacity, the e-juice ingredients and another nicotine warning.
The manufacturer (Shenzhen Foresight Innovations are the parent company of Vozol) address, telephone number and URL are also clearly displayed.
All things considered, I think Vozol have done a great job with the packaging design. The disposable market is heavily saturated at this point and I can imagine it’s becoming more difficult for brands to come up with design concepts (especially with the packaging!) to set themselves apart from the pack.
Having said that, the Vozol Star 9000 is bright, bold and colorful, with all the info you could possibly need printed clearly and easy to read.
The only negative comment I could make, perhaps in direct contrast to the above, is the fact Vozol haven’t included the PG/VG ratio of the e-juice on the packaging. It’s incredibly rare to see the PG/VG ratio listed on any disposable, so it’s not a deal-breaker but it is handy for those suffering from any form of PG intolerance.
Anyway, back to business. Open the packaging and inside you’ll see a sealed, foil wrapper protecting the Vozol Star 9000 disposable.
Just tear open one end of the foil wrapper to remove the disposable. The Vozol Star 9000 comes pre-charged and ready to vape, but first you’ll need to remove the silicone cover from the base of the disposable …
… and peel off the sticker running the length of the black LED display screen.
Once these have both been removed, you’re all set to vape!
Vozol Star 9000 | Design & Appearance
Prior to Vozol reaching out and asking us to review their new disposable, I knew nothing about the features or spec. We’ll talk more about the general appearance a bit further down, but in terms of design the Vozol Star 9000 disposable actually took me by surprise when we first received it.
I mentioned it briefly in the intro at the start of the review, but the Star 9000 is unlike any disposable we’ve reviewed before, with a couple of significant differences over the ‘standard’ disposable design.
The first and most obvious thing you’ll notice is that Vozol have included a plastic, removeable cover designed to protect the mouthpiece when you’re not vaping.
It’s a soft, flexible ‘cap’ of sorts that slips directly over the mouthpiece of the disposable and I think it’s a fantastic idea.
Whether you carry your vape in a pocket, a bag or even the glovebox in your car, if you’re anything like me you’ll end up with a build-up of dust, grit and bits of fluff (or God knows what!) stuck in the mouthpiece.
Not to mention the hygiene aspect. You’re potentially putting your disposable in your mouth hundreds of times a day and yet it’s constantly open to the elements, germs and bacteria.
Now that’s not to say the protective cover Vozol have included will prevent all contamination, but it’s definitely a step-up over the standard, unprotected disposables we usually vape.
The other notable difference in design is the ‘shake for display’ feature Vozol have included with the Star 9000 disposable.
The black LED display runs the length of the disposable, and thanks to the motion detection technology Vozol have included, a quick shake of the device displays both the remaining battery and e-juice levels.
The LED display is bright, clear and easy to read, with the remaining battery and e-juice displayed as a percentage. The display also lights up briefly each time you take a puff, for approximately 2 seconds.
While we’re on the subject of battery and e-juice, the Vozol Star 9000 features a rechargeable 650mAh battery and 14ml of e-juice, with a total capacity of 9,000 puffs.
Although it’s not the smallest disposable we’ve reviewed recently (that accolade would have to go to the Fifty Bar – another fantastic disposable!) – Vozol have managed to squeeze the 650mAh battery and impressively large e-juice reservoir into a fairly compact and lightweight design.
Measuring 95mm in height, 41mm in width and 23mm in depth, the Vozol Star 9000 will still fit easily in your pocket and comfortably in your hand.
Considering the slightly larger than average size, the Vozol Star 9000 is also surprisingly lightweight, weighing in at only 67g.
Again it’s not the lightest of the disposables we’ve tested this year, but it’s still lightweight enough that you won’t feel like it’s weighing you down if you’re carrying one or more in your pocket or bag.
In terms of appearance, the Vozol Star 9000 is a rectangular shaped disposable, with smooth, rounded edging on all sides and a slight indent running the length of the device in which the LED display is visible.
Vozol state the Star 9000 is manufactured entirely from post-consumer recycled plastic, which means the plastic has been used in the production of another product, used, thrown away, cleaned and then used to produce the Star 9000.
With the ever-growing negative public perception of disposables, it’s great to see Vozol are doing their bit for the environment!
The body of the Star 9000 is white, regardless of the flavor, with random, dark-colored markings or ‘streaks’ throughout, which give the disposable an almost marble-like effect which the pictures really don’t do justice.
Branding is simple and minimalistic, with ‘VOZOL’ displayed on the front of the disposable …
… and the flavor name printed on the back.
The lettering is a different color depending on the flavor, which is also the case with the mouthpiece and protective cover at the top of the disposable.
Incidentally, if for whatever reason you’d rather not use the protective cover, it’s removable and can be detached by unhooking the catch from the raised ‘button’ next to the mouthpiece.
Finally, at the base of the Vozol Star 9000 disposable you’ll find the Type-C USB charging port, a battery vent and a single airflow hole.
Charging is easy – just plug a Type-C USB charging cable (not included) into the port on the base of the Star 9000 and plug the other end into a suitable charging outlet.
Charging the 650mAh battery only takes approximately 45 minutes and Vozol have included pass-through vaping, which means you can vape while it’s on charge.
Overall I’m really impressed with the design and appearance of the Vozol Star 9000 disposable. It might not be as compact as many of the other devices we’ve reviewed this year, but the addition of the protective mouthpiece and the ‘shake to display’ feature really sets it apart for me!
Coupled with the massive 14ml of e-juice and the 650mAh battery, there’s not much to dislike here!
Vozol Star 9000 | Performance
You’ll be pleased to hear the Vozol Star 9000 disposable is no slouch when it comes to performance either.
By far the standout feature for me was the incredible lifespan, both in terms of overall longevity and battery life. I puff pretty heavily, with my vape never too far from my reach throughout the day and yet a full charge of the 650mAh battery lasted me well over a day.
Furthermore, each of the Star 9000 disposables Vozol sent us lasted a minimum of 14 days! I’ll be honest, I didn’t actually count my puffs so I can’t comment on whether the stated 9,000 total puff capacity is accurate, but I’m more than happy with 14 days per disposable, especially as I’m vaping heavily!
Obviously a casual or moderate vaper is likely to get even better longevity out of the Star 9000 disposable, so the value for your money is fantastic here.
Another huge positive for me is the fact Vozol have included fast charging and pass-through vaping, as this isn’t always included as standard on every disposable on the market.
We’ve talked about the protective mouthpiece cover and LED display screen (and the ‘shake for display feature!) so I won’t reiterate my thoughts here in too much detail, but suffice it to say I found both of these innovative design features extremely useful.
The Vozol Star 9000 disposable is auto-draw, so you just inhale on the mouthpiece to take a puff. You don’t need to worry about adjusting wattage, airflow or ‘mode’ settings – just grab it and vape.
The airflow allows for a decent MTL (mouth-to-lung) style draw, not unlike the draw you’d experience when smoking a cigarette. Perfect if you’re looking to make the switch from smoking to vaping!
Throat hit and nicotine delivery are absolutely dialed in for me, with each puff providing a thoroughly satisfying hit. The caveat here of course, is that I’m testing the 50mg nicotine strength, so your mileage may vary if you’re vaping the 0mg or 20mg disposable.
Vapor production is also on point, with a perfectly respectable cloud of dense, fluffy vapor produced after each puff. Just like with any disposable, you won’t be filling up a room with clouds, but it’ll be more than enough vapor for most people.
The flavor recipes are equally impressive, with each of the 7 disposables I tested producing dense, complex and full-bodied flavor notes. I expected as much after reviewing the Neon 900 earlier this year and Vozol didn’t disappoint!
If I had to find a negative, it would be the lack of adjustable airflow on the Star 9000 disposable. As previously mentioned, the MTL draw is perfect for me personally but I’m aware this is very much subjective.
Unfortunately, without adjustable airflow you’d be forced to partially cover the airflow hole on the bottom of the disposable if the MTL draw is too loose for your vaping preference.
Overall though, the Vozol Star 9000 is a fantastic multi-day disposable with plenty to offer. The lifespan, flavor, vapor, throat hit – almost everything about the Star 9000 is perfect for me and I can see this becoming a popular disposable!

The flavor range is predominately fruity-based flavor recipes, with no dessert-based option or a tobacco blend unfortunately. Hopefully Vozol will release more flavors in the future, but if fruity flavors aren’t your cup of tea, there are a couple of menthol options to choose from.
Vozol kindly sent us the Star 9000 disposable in 7 different flavors, and although I can’t find an official flavor breakdown on their website, I’ll do my best to describe each flavor below.
Blueberry Storm
The Blueberry Storm flavor is a blast of tart, sharp blueberries with a fresh, icy menthol on the exhale.
The sharp, almost bitter blueberry is complimented perfectly by the icy, menthol kick in this one. I’m also picking up a slightly effervescent note to this flavor.
Definitely one of the better blueberry flavored disposables I’ve tested and one I can quite happily vape all day!
Cool Mint
The cool mint flavor is exactly what you’d expect – a refreshing, yet subtle spearmint flavor note.
I’m not really a fan of single-note menthol flavors, but this one is a good option for those that don’t jive with the fruity-based flavors or even as a palette cleanser to reset your taste buds!
My personal preferences aside, this is another solid offering from Vozel.
Peach Mango Watermelon
The Peach Mango Watermelon is a delicious cocktail of sweet peach, juicy mango and refreshing, ripe watermelon.
This was one of my favorite in the range – it’s absolutely bursting with flavor and perfectly blended, with each flavor note clearly detectable.
The aftertaste on this one is also superb!
Raspberry Watermelon
Another personal favorite, the Raspberry Watermelon is a blend of sharp, ripe raspberries and fresh, juicy watermelon.
The raspberry is the dominate note in this one, with the watermelon more of a subtle yet delicious aftertaste on the exhale.
This flavor is perfect in the high heat!
Sour Apple Ice
The Sour Apple Ice flavor is a blast of sour, tart apple with a strong icy kick on the inhale.
Vozol have blended this perfectly – it’s not too sour and the icy kick packs a hell of a punch!
This is a must-try if you like sour flavored disposables!
Strawberry Kiwi
The Strawberry Kiwi flavor is a blend of sweet strawberries and sharp, ripe kiwi.
I think there’s also a very slight menthol note in this one that gives it that little something extra.
Another flavor I could happily vape all day!
Watermelon Bubble Gum
The last of the 7 Vozol sent us, the Watermelon Bubble Gum flavor is a mouth-watering medley of fresh, subtle watermelon and fruity bubble gum.
The bubble gum note here tastes like several fruity flavors mixed together, which gives this one a tropical cocktail vibe!
Absolutely delicious and another flavor I found hard to put down!
Vozol Star 9000 | Price
At the time of writing, the Vozol Star 9000 disposable has only recently been released and isn’t yet widely available. However, I did manage to find one or two online retailers selling it for between $15 – $19, which is a great price considering the quality and performance Vozol have packed into the Star 9000.
Especially when you factor in that each Vozol Star 9000 disposable should last you at least 14 days, even if you’re vaping heavily.
I tend not to rely on any disposable as my main vape as the cost can quickly mount up, but a full month of vaping for as little as $30 seems more than reasonable.
Even more so when you consider the equivalent smoking habit would be significantly more expensive!

With multiple nicotine strengths available, a great range of flavors, a massive e-juice capacity and a long-lasting battery, there’s very little not to love about this disposable!
When you factor in the fast charging time, the protective mouthpiece and the LED ‘shake for display’ feature, I can see the Vozol Star 9000 landing on the market with a splash and becoming extremely popular as a ‘jack of all trades’ disposable providing superb value for money.
