Another new brand, to us anyway, has crossed our path for the first time and landed on our doorstep. We are pleased to be reviewing the VPFIT Flex Box that was sent to us along with another product that we will be reviewing after this one so do keep a look out for that one too.
VPFIT are a Chinese vape brand that was launched back in 2014 by Shenzhen Jieshibo Technology Co who themselves have been a subsidiary of Shenzhen JSB Group since 2008. They primarily focus on open and closed vape pod systems and disposable pod vapes and do have quite an extensive array of devices to choose from.
Sit back, relax and read on to see what we thought and get our honest opinion and views of the VPFIT Flex Box kit.
Overview

The VPFIT Flex Box is a closed pod system (pre-filled pod) non-adjustable fixed 10W draw activated Mouth to Lung (MTL) pod device. It incorporates an internal 600mAh rechargeable battery which is charged via the Type-C 1A USB port and included charging cable.
Each pre-filled flavored pod holds a massive 12ml of e-liquid which is good for approximately 5000 puffs and contains a non-replaceable 1.2 ohm Mesh coil. The great news is the Flex Box kit contains 2 full pods (of the same flavor) so will keep you going for quite a while before needing to purchase additional pods.
Construction of the Flex Box and Pod uses food grade polycarbonate material and a 2 stage injection molded process providing 5 individual color options with a clear high gloss hard outer shell. As its name implies, it’s a semi-flattened box shape being both pretty compact and lightweight.

The Flex Box incorporates an adjustable airflow slider lever on the bottom of the device which provides a restrictive Mouth to Lung (MTL) draw when closed to a Direct to Lung (DTL) draw when fully open. A lanyard is included in the kit and attaches to the top side of the Flex Box if you wish to use it.
There is no on/off button or display but does have a tri-colored LED that illuminates through the bottom and front of the device when you draw on the pod, when it’s being charged or showing the 4 different layers of protection.
Currently available in 5 different color finishes and 5 different pre-filled flavored pods. These 12ml pods color match the device, unless you use a different flavored pod, and come in strengths of 20mg, 30mg or 50mg nicotine salts (2%, 3% or 5%).
I would like to thank Bruce at JSBVAPE for sending me the VPFIT Flex Box kit for the purpose of this review. As always this review is completely unbiased and is my honest opinion based on my findings while using the supplied Flex Box and flavored pods.

Firstly I have to say, considering the Flex Box is a pretty compact device, it’s one of the biggest boxes I’ve seen a pod come in. It measures 152mm x 120mm x 51mm.
Saying this, the box is very robust, having a lift off lid with a plastic inner housing that holds all of the items in place. The color of the box corresponds to the color/flavor of the included device with printed information on the box which includes the box contents, the product specifications, manufacturer’s information and the strength of your chosen nicotine salts.
Despite the pod holding a whopping 12ml of flavored e-liquid, the kit includes a second pod of the same capacity and flavor which I was very impressed with.
My first observation is the color of the device and detachable pod is depicted by the flavor of e-liquid inside the pod. In my case the flavor is Peach Lime therefore the color of the device and pod is Lime Green. If you choose one of the other 4 flavor pods , the Flex Box body/battery and pod will be a different matching color.
The second observation is the size of the Type-C USB charging cable. While it does the job, this is one of the smallest charging cables I’ve seen. Tip to tip it measures less than 6 inches!
VPFIT Flex Box Design and Appearance
Flex Box Body/Battery
The VPFIT Flex Box is compact, lightweight and constructed out of food grade polycarbonate and is available in 5 different color finishes. The color of the battery/body and the pod is depicted by the flavor of the e-liquid inside the pod.
- Red: Lush Ice
- Blue: Grape Ice
- Yellow: Pineapple Mango Orange
- Lime Green: Peach Lime
- Light Blue: Blueberry Raspberry

The color I received to test for this review was the Lime Green one being a Peach Lime flavor which you will see throughout this review. The 2 stage injection moulding process encases the inner color with a clear high gloss outer surface which has a glass like feel to it.
Being a square box shape, the height of the Flex Box, excluding the pod is 55mm tall by 49.6mm wide and 20.6mm deep. With the pod removed, the weight of the Flex Box comes in at 37.15 grams making this very lightweight.

Powered by an internal 600mAh capacity battery and re-chargeable via the Type-C bottom located USB charging port specified as 5V/1A, charging time will take approximately 50 minutes.
It’s draw activated only, there is no fire or on/off button. The Flex Box is a fixed 10W device producing a constant 3.5V output to the pod and has an adjustable airflow slider on the bottom of the battery/body. This produces a very restricted MTL draw when closed off or when fully opened, the draw is a very airy DTL style vape.

The only visible display on the VPFIT Flex Box is a tri- coloured LED that is concealed beneath a small hole on the bottom of the device body just above the Type-C charging port. When illuminated, the lower right hand front face just below the VPFIT logo will also glow.
This LED illuminates when you remove or insert the pod, draw on the pod, charge the Flex Box and when it’s displaying the different levels of protection. The tri-colored LED will change color (red, blue and green) in the color that corresponds to the level of charge left in the internal battery as you draw on the device:
- Green ->3.7V
- Blue – 3.5V – 3.7V
- Red – <3.5V
The tri-colored LED also highlights the following conditions and functions:
- Inserting the pod
- Removing the Pod
- Drawing on the pod
- Charging
- Full charge
- Low battery
- Overtime protection (8s)
- Short circuit protection
- Low voltage protection
- Low resistance protection
- Over charging protection
See the Functionality section of this review for the indications that the tri-colored LED displays for each of the different functions and levels of protection.

On the front facing side of the Flex Box towards the bottom is the branding “VPFIT” printed in white lettering. Strangely enough, this is the only branding on the device, there is no mention of Flex Box.

At the top of the Flex Box is a very deep and wide recessed opening where the pod locates. This recess is 46mm deep and measures 29mm by 17mm. In the bottom of this recess are two bar magnets located either side of the two gold plated spring loaded contact pins that connect to the pod coil contacts.
To the left of one of the coil contact pins is a small circular airflow intake hole that will open or close by the movement of the airflow slider on the base of the Flex Box.

What I did find strange was I couldn’t see an auto draw sensor. I can only assume its concealed either beneath the airflow hole or in the actual pod itself. Rest assured, it’s there someone and does work very well.
This pod recess is symmetrical so the pod will fit either way round. Because the pod fits a long way into the Flex Box body, the combination of this and the bar magnets means the pod is held very securely.
The base of the Flex Box, although flat, has a slight recess where the airflow slider is positioned and the Type-C USB port. There are 4 raised outer ridges around this flat recess enabling the Flex Box to be stood upright.

Lastly, there are two cut-outs on the top right hand corner of the Flex Box (opposite the pod) where you can connect the supplied lanyard if you so wish.
Flex Box Pods

Two pre-filled flavored pods are included in the Flex Box kit and you can see from the photos that these pods are huge and actually weigh more (37.5 grams) than the Flex Box battery/body itself. This is hardly surprising as they are good for 5000 puffs.
There are 5 different e-liquid flavors available in nicotine salt strengths of 20mg (2%), 30mg (3%) or 50mg (5%) and are individually colored to match the flavor inside.

Each pod is manufactured out of the same material and color as the Flex Box itself and has a massive 12ml e-liquid capacity with an integrated 1.2 ohm mesh coil. Because the pod is not transparent, an e-liquid window is located on one side of the pod so you can see the level of e-liquid left in the pod. It is quite hard to see the e-liquid level through this window but nevertheless it is there.
Remember these pods come pre-filled so are a closed pod system meaning when the e-liquid has been vaped, the pod is disposed of and a new one fitted. We couldn’t verify if additional pods are sold in packs of 3 or if you purchase them individually. Also the cost of these are still unknown.

The pod measures 70.8mm tall by 28.8mm wide and 16.2mm deep and when fitted protrudes from the Flex Box body by 21.5mm. The mouthpiece is a duckbill style and has an oval 8mm opening leading down to a circular 3mm diameter opening.
Between the duckbill mouthpiece and the pod reservoir is a contoured lip that sits against the top of the Flex Box when the pod if fitted.
A mouthpiece of this shape and size is perfect for a MTL vaping style but quite surprisingly, when the airflow is fully opened, you can achieve a really nice DTL style of vaping too.

On the underside of the pod are two outer bar magnets that connect to the corresponding magnets in the Flex Box pod recess and two large gold plated coil contacts that locate against the spring loaded contact pins.
Centrally located between the two coil contacts are two smaller airflow port holes that provide the air intake to the pod. The pod is symmetrical so can be fitted either way round.
Branding on the pod is limited to the brand “VPFIT” and the “Flavor Name” which is concealed when the pod is fitted. There is no mention of the coil resistance or the e-liquid capacity.
When the pod is fitted, the tri-colored LED will illuminate once to indicate the pod has made contact with the Flex Box. Equally, when the pod is removed, the tri-colored LED will illuminate twice. The pod fits really well and simply slides into the pod recess and is held in place by the two bar magnets.

During the time I’ve been using the Flex Box, each time I’ve removed the pod to check for e-liquid seepage, there were no signs of leaks or any condensation on the base of the pod or around the contact pins.
It’s worth mentioning that the pods come with a white silicone rubber mouthpiece bung and sticky base sticker to protect both the base of the pod and the mouthpiece. Make sure you remove these before attaching to the Flex Box body. If you wish, you can use the mouthpiece bung as a protector when not in use to stop any debris entering the mouthpiece.
VPFIT Flex Box Functionality

The Flex Box is very simple and straightforward to use, there are no controls, no fire or on/off button, you simply fit the pre-filled pod, set the airflow slider switch for your preferred vape style and away you go. Draw on the pod and vape.
When the battery has run out of charge, simply connect the Type-C cable to the USB port via a 1A power source and charge the Flex Box. When fully charged you’re good to go again. It does have a Pass-Through function so you can vape while it’s on charge.
The only visible indication on the Flex Box is the illuminated tri-colored LED on the base which does also glow through the bottom front edge panel. The following sequence of colors/flashes can be observed under the following conditions:
- Inserting the pod:- LED flashes once
- Removing the pod:- LED flashes twice
- Drawing on the pod:- LED illuminates
- Charging:- LED will cycle
- Full charge:- LED remains constantly illuminated
- Low battery:- LED will flash red 5 times
- Overtime protection (8s):- LED will flash 3 times
- Short circuit protection:- LED will remain on
- Low voltage protection:- LED will flash red 5 times
- Low resistance protection:- LED will remain on
- Over charging protection:- LED will remain illuminated
When selecting the position of the airflow slider, fully closed will restrict the airflow and give you a tight MTL style vape. When the airflow is fully open this will give you a DTL vape. Anywhere in between enables you to fine tune your vaping style to your specific need.
VPFIT Flex Box Performance

Straight out the box, both of the flavored pods can be used right away. Simply remove the clear silicone mouthpiece bung and the thin sticky peel off seal from the base, connect to the Flex Box and vape.
While the Flex Box comes pre-charged, I would recommend fully charging the Flex Box before using it to get the most out of your battery.
The auto draw was very responsive and worked every time. Even the slightest draw when the airflow is closed off will activate the Flex Box. If the airflow slider is set to the open position you will have to increase the intensity of the draw on the pod for it to activate. In this position the vape style is DTL.
I found the smoothness of the draw intake was very good, no gurgling or spitting was detected and the draw was pretty quiet making it perfect for stealth vaping. The amount of vapor produced was similar to that of a traditional cigarette, not excessive but certainly enough to feel satisfied.
Both of the flavored pods that came with the Flex Box kit each lasted nearly a whole week’s vaping before they ran out of e-liquid. Obviously the battery needed charging several times during this time which we will cover in more detail in the Battery Performance section later on in this review.
Unfortunately we didn’t receive any additional flavors to review other than the ones that came with the Flex Box kit which was Peach Lime. What I can say though is the flavor was spot on with a slight coolness and very flavorsome. We’ve given a brief description of this flavor and the other available pod flavors in the Flavor section below.
VPFIT Flex Box Pod Flavors
There are currently 5 different flavor pods in the Flex Box range. When purchasing the kit, you choose the color of the kit and it comes with two flavored pods associated with that color.
- Red: Lush Ice
- Blue: Grape Ice
- Yellow: Pineapple Mango Orange
- Lime Green: Peach Lime
- Light Blue: Blueberry Raspberry
Each flavor comes in strengths of 20mg, 30mg or 50mg nicotine salts (2%, 3% or 5%).
We can’t comment on the other 4 flavors because we’ve not tried them but a summary of the Peach Lime is as follows:
Peach Lime

Straight after the first draw, the combination of Peach and Lime came flooding through. The Lime appeared to be prominent on the draw intake while the Peach seemed to come through stronger on the exhale and lingered on the taste buds.
There was a slight sweetness which remained on the lips afterwards but this did accentuate the lingering flavor. Even though there is no mention of Ice in the flavor title, the coolness of an ice additive was quite strong which left a cold sensation in the back of the throat.
While at times I enjoy some of my flavors to include a slight ice kick, I didn’t expect there to be this additive in this flavor profile as it’s not mentioned in the title. Apart from this, the flavor was authentic and enjoyable to vape on.
VPFIT Flex Box Battery Performance
The Flex Box is powered by an internal 600mAh capacity battery. Charging time is very good, taking approximately 50 minutes to fully charge via the on board 1A Type-C USB port and cable.
On average I was achieving around 12 hours vaping from a fully charged battery. This time will vary depending on your vaping style i.e. duration and frequency of your draw.
During use, as you draw on the pod, the tri-colored LED illuminates in the color relating to the status of the remaining battery charge. I monitored the length of time it took for the LED to indicate a change in color giving an approximate time duration for each stage:
- Green to Blue – Approx. 9 hours
- Blue to Red – Approx. 3 hours
- Red to Discharge – Approx. 5 minutes
Sadly you will only have a few minutes when the LED turns red before the battery cuts out. Once the LED flashes red 5 times, you will no longer be able to vape and will have to re-charge the battery. The VPFIT Flex Box does have pass through meaning you can vape while it’s being charged.
When And How Do I Change The Flex Box Pod?

Because the Flex Box pod is NOT re-fillable, once the e-liquid inside the pod is finished you will have to replace with a new pre-filled pod. Even though the side of the pod has a small opaque window it can be quite difficult to see the remaining level of e-liquid through it.
In most cases you will only know when the pod is empty of e-liquid by a loss of vapor/flavor followed by a cotton wool/burnt taste.
I feel that having gone to the effort of putting an e-liquid window in the pod, it would have been more effective to have made this window completely clear.
Changing the pod is straight-forward, simply pull the pod away from the Flex Box body, discard the pod sensibly and replace with a new pod. As the pod is removed, the LED will flash twice and when the new pod is inserted the LED will flash once.
How Do I Charge The VPFIT Flex Box?

As you draw on the Flex Box pod, if the tri-colored LED flashes red 5 times and no vape is produced, it’s time to re-charge the battery. Using the supplied USB Type-C charging cable, plug the cable into the Type-C USB port on the bottom of the Flex Box body. Connect the other end into a suitable power source (typically 5V/1A).
When the Flex Box is placed on charge the tri-colored LED will illuminate and cycle on and off. This LED will remain cycling until it’s completely charged at which point the LED will remain constantly illuminated. Once the LED remains static, remove the power source and you’re ready to vape again.

Charging time takes approximately 50 minutes from fully discharged to full charge.
Do note the VPPIT Flex Box does have a “pass-through” function therefore you can vape while it’s being charged.
When the Flex Box was being charged, the casing does remain very cool to the touch which is impressive but I always advise to charge this, and any other device for that matter, on a non-flammable surface.
As always, NEVER leave your vape device unattended while on charge.
VPFIT Flex Box Kit Price
At the time of writing and reviewing the Flex Box, it wasn’t available in the shops or available to buy directly from JSBVAPE. Therefore we are unable to let you know the price of the Flex Box kit and the cost of the replaceable pods.
Once we have this information, hopefully we can revisit this review and include the costs of the kit and pods and add a buy button for you to purchase.

VPFIT Flex Box Kit Summary

The VPFIT Flex Box bar is a stylish brightly colored closed pod system device with replaceable flavored pods holding a massive 12ml of e-liquid. A fixed 10W output power coupled with a responsive auto draw and variable airflow control provides a choice of MTL and DTL vaping styles.
Its 600mAh internal battery capacity is pretty decent and does a good job of powering the pod for a good 12 hours of vaping before requiring re-charging. Charging time is also very quick in around 50 minutes with the added advantage of having pass-through so you can vape while it’s being charged.
Each flavored pod is good for up to 5000 puffs and depending on vaping style and duration of draw lasts a good week of vaping. Having 5 different flavors to choose from is a little limiting but if the single flavor we’ve tried is anything to go by then the other 4 should be equally as good.
The Flex Box is a good starter kit for those wishing to switch to vaping who want the minimum of fuss or as an out and about/back up device for any vaper.

Hello, where i can find it?
Can you send me one to Greece?
Hi Stelios,
Unfortunately we have the same problem at the moment, it doesnt appear to be available to buy from anywhere. It was supplied to us from JSBVAPE to review. I have contacted them and asked about the price of the Flex Box and who supplies it but have not received a reply yet.
Once we get this information I will update our review with this information.
